  • i'm atheist and i find this very insulting...how dear you imply i would buy apple

  • I agree with what you said, I disagree with the reasons shown below. Does that make me a hypocrite? :P

  • I'm an atheist and am glad that at least some of these don't apply to me lol.

  • Fuck u athiest whores!

  • @dmoney4913 You wish.

  • i think im in love with you

  • offending people for the sake of it? isn't that the purpose of your video?-even so, very funny.

  • I'm a freethinker(actually more of I don't have a religion)but I go to a catholic-based school. And after studying there for a few years,I believed in God and stuff like that. But after I watched a few of your videos,I realised what you said actually made a whole lot of sense. And somehow I want to thank you :D

And were you talking about Runaway? :O

  • :D

  • Where you going for a DawahFilms impersonation? You sound and act (as in your body language and movements) just like him in this video. All the time while I was watching it I kept thinking of his videos.

  • I am an atheist that hates smug atheists, great post

  • The knowledge of dis world has got many blinded, may God have mercy upon you bro.

  • @donaskalo KAY

  • @donaskalo

this upload is satire you douche

  • I find this very very confusing. What he's saying seems reasonable and is indeed what many atheists think and say. Is this wrong?

  • @Stephen5000 Im an atheist, I would agree with you in a lot of things if we talk about religion. The question is: how "holy" is your view for you? Some theists see atheists as dangerous fools with no morals, and some atheists see theists as meek sheep, with blind morals, willing to do wrong. Spot the differences in both views. Both views are simplifications. And both aren't very constructive, they block any communication. There will always be theists, and atheists, so we better get along.

  • This video is great. Im an atheist myself and i totally recognize myself in some of this. I just think its a pity that so many atheist goes on hating on theist for fun. Im trying to let them think whatever they do as long as they dont start shit.

  • come on, who doesn't enjoy arguing with people who they think is stupid

  • lol the add before your video was for mormon dot org lol

  • Your glasses make you look smart(er).

  • @theberzerker81

They may make him smarter. Glasses focus light into the cornea, creating a clearer image, increasing the detail of imagery being sent to his brain. It’s easy to accept that this additional information is stimulating more brain activity. How could more sensory information not increase neurogenic activity?

Given this information, we have only two conclusions to come to:

    1. Glasses make you smarter (and this isn’t a false dichotomy)

    2. I’m full of shit (and you almost bought it)

  • This is basically me. :) :[

  • the end was fucking hilarious

    i love this video

  • Organized religion has caused most of the world's tragedies. I simply can't understand how supposedly intelligent people can accept such hogwash. It is just a collection of tales.

  • Really? Because with the exception of a few notable events, such as the crusades, many of the "world's worst tragedies" end up being blamed on religion when, in fact, there was one of the following root causes: lack of resources, people fighting over who owns what land, the desire for control / power, and so on.

I'm an atheist, but I refuse to participate in this "us verse them" bullshit. Groups centered around hate / stereotyping rarely do much good.

  • i finally understood a British person talking

    the translation really helped

  • Sounds like reddit's r/atheism...

  • LOL

  • You do look a bit like you should go join UKIP or the BNP in these videos.

  • Whats wrong with offending people for the sake of it?

  • @TheMetalDreadHead Its kinda douchey.

  • @LatumWay But funny.

  • @LatumWay no it's kewl and fun

  • This is why I subscribe to your channel. Great

  • ... I think I just fell a little bit in love with you! ^^

  • awwww linkin park. sighs i remember those days XD

  • @slytherinspy1960 in the end, it doesnt even matter

  • I came, this was hilarious.

  • Latumway, I've become one of those apathetic atheists who doesn't give a shit. I find it strange, but for a comedy video, that had a lot of true content xD Although, for me it wasn't a Linkin Park song...it was XTC >.> <.<

  • Oh come on, you just ripped of Pat condell, lol.

  • Oh hi Pat!

  • hm you look kinda sexy without the hair

  • Awesome :D

  • Not all athiests are dickheads like Pat Condell.

  • @ElectricSexPants

    "Not all atheists are dickheads"

Like the very creator of this video, for instance (not a dickhead, just to clarify w/o context).

  • At first, I didn't get it, but I think maybe I now do... both of your videos show what people say (audio) vs. what the other side hears (subtitles).

So... in just the same way we hear "it's complicated => God" when they say "look at all the beauty", when we say "I've researched various sources, I realized there is no God", they hear "after reading The God Delusion, I realized Richard Dawkins is God".

Am I on the right track, or am I full of bollocks? lol

  • Thank you...atheists can be just as full of bollocks as theists.

  • If I was able to make videos, I could never have made one 1/1000 as great as this.

  • I like the dawahfilms-esque delivery.

  • So basically, the lesson here is that both theists and atheists are hipsters.

  • Oops, sorry. Clicked on a Pat Condell video by accident.

  • obviously ppl got MAD!

    not bad trolling

  • I'm wondering. Are you trying to say there are twats on both sides of the spectrum ? Or is it just a fun idea you thought you could work out ? Either way I loved it.

  • Holy shit this was hilarious, and I'm an Atheist

  • Both these videos make it out to seem like everybody debating theology are confused suburban teenagers or something

this some kind of eastern thing?

  • Unfortunately I found myself relating to this video. Replace Linkin Park with Marilyn Manson, and Apple with Microsoft, and this video is basically me three years ago.

  • i miss yer hair

  • @guitar19904 so do i

  • @LatumWay

not the mohak the normal hair

  • @LatumWay Is it creepy that I just shaved my hair too?

  • @LatumWay Never mind, now that I think about it I shaved my head before you, so you are the creeper

  • Now I know who writes Thunderf00t's scripts! ;-)

  • Comment removed

  • haven't seen the other one yet (about to), but just wanted to say the was brilliant, and i worry that many just won't get it.

  • *twiddles thumbs while LatumWay finishes working through his existential crisis or whatever this is*

  • @PerilocutionAZ09 No existential crisis on my part, I assure you : )

  • I thought the video I just watched from ghostofthedayinperson via recommendation functioned so well ironically as a sad indictment of the state of satire here until I discovered closed captioning for the interpretively impaired.

  • Fucking brilliant. Wish I could buy you a beer for that ;)

  • Lol.

  • Beautiful! LoL'ing so hard!

  • Perfection!

  • You know what, I actually really like this video.

  • Lol, I'd agree with most of that except the mohummad drawing day part. That was more of a standing up to people who threaten people with violence thing, it's not about offending people. The appropriate christian response would have been to threaten violence back (eye for an eye) but we just drew even more pictures that they didn't like thus making their threats achieve the exact opposite of what they wanted. Apparently this was worthy of criticism somehow?

  • BEST VIDEO OF THE MONTH!

  • Also, this video was fantastic, as was the Theist one.

  • @parallelsdumaurier No God, no Crusades. Your point? On the other end of the spectrum, there are Catholics and Muslims who have peaceful and fulfilling lives because of their faiths, that don't involve running through people with swords or blowing them up just because they don't think the same way. Honestly, you could say this for just about anything with a downside, and just about everything on Earth has some sort of a downside.

  • That was real good man. Quite funny.

  • Fantastically hilarious.

  • Wow, it is just staggering how many people missed the point of this video. Did I miss some kind of word puzzle you slipped in, or am I just overestimating the intelligence of others?

  • You cut your hair again! Oh, sorry. I mean great video.

Those subtitles are unfortunately an all too accurate portrayal of "Youtube atheists." I was guilty of some of that stuff when I first created my channel nearly 6 years ago, but I think I can honestly say I've recognized those problems at some point and shifted my views and behaviors accordingly. I listen a lot more than I speak now.

  • I guess I'm a twat.

  • I really cannot believe how some atheists are still stuck in this paradigm of thought and refuse to accept the validity of the message behind this video. WOW.

  • That is sadly true on every point -_-

  • 1:00 thinks*

  • 1:00 "I hope that one day, everyone think like me"

I think you meant 'I hope that one day, everyone blindly follows coughlan and rith around, agreeing with everything they have to say'

  • The sad thing is is that both videos are spot on.

  • You know, I'm really beginning to hate many of the "New Atheists": they refuse to think in an historico-socio-economic context, they seem to think that Sam Harris' book The Moral Landscape is the only book ever published on ethics (and its not really about ethics, but brain states), have an asymmetrical idea of human rights. Parts of modern atheism really are starting to look like religious movement: authoritarian, close-minded and hypocritical. And *I'M* a New Atheist and avidreader of Dawkins!

  • if anyone is offended by this they deserve a good twating about the head. This comment was just an excuse to use that phrase. BTW. Hilarious.

  • making fun of atheist?this so south park 2007.

  • 911 was caused by religion, only if you consider Western Imperialism and White Mans' Burden 2.0 a religion.

  • Beautiful way to putting together a video. As I look through the comments I think your point is very well made.

  • Ba Ba Booey!

  • I dont see religion as the cause, but the scapegoat for those who willingly use it as a means to push their agenda on others of weaker minds

  • Love the subtitles! From the responses you're receiving, seems it proves the point.

  • I couldn't agree more with the message behind this video. Witch is a bad thing, cus it makes me feel like sheep....

  • It's like Thunderf00t and PatCondell fused into one being, CondellF00t!

  • Thanks for catering to folks like me who have ADD and can focus on multiple info sources at the same time. Hunter Gatherers rule!

  • So true, man.

  • I'm favouriting both of them, and putting this one on my channel page.

  • Both my iPhone and I are highly offended.

    We're also really, really high.

  • No bro, I'm only an atheist because I listen to Slayer. Get it right. I know you're trying to be "fair and balanced" and all, BUT...I think this vid fails on many levels. Do YOU really think this is what bollocks about atheism?

  • :-)

  • ha I love this video, very good points made from the text. :)

  • You've got a talent for satire, dead on.

Also, that's a surprisingly good look for you.

  • yeah that was me a yeah ago, except the RD = god part.

  • the atheist strawman

  • Offensive and brilliant.

  • Interesting dichotomy of two videos.

The theist bollocks one contains speech that is an inaccurate portrayal, but the text is accurate.

The atheist bollocks one contains speech that is an accurate portrayal, but the text is inaccurate.

They clearly show how atheism and theism are at a completely opposite spectrum.

If that was your intention, well done.

If it wasn't your intention, it's not the community that's dead, just your intellect.

  • @MyGodTheresNoGod

Eh, strawman has a point. There are pretty stupiid atheists out there.

  • @MyGodTheresNoGod Wow......

  • @MyGodTheresNoGod

    Someone is butthurt...

  • @MyGodTheresNoGod Thats not it at all. This was not an exercise in 'Theists are dumb, atheists are smart and awesome'. You, and everyone who voted this up, have missed the point.

  • Even our bollocks is superior...

  • LOL! perfect! Now let's see the Theist bollocks

  • Wow, this is a change. Not better, not worse, just different ;)

  • "You people (keyboard atheists, nazis and evolutionists) are meddeling with Powers that you Cannot Possibly Comprehend" Raiders of The Lost Ark!!!

  • @seekerofgod7777777 You people (keyboard creatards, nazis and devout ignorants) are deluded in thinking he sees you when your sleeping, you imagine he knows when your awake, your a moron who thinks he knows when you've been bad or good. Give your head a shake for goodness sake. Santa Claus is coming to Town!!!!

  • @parallelsdumaurier While you lower level keyboard evotardos keep on parroting the atheist creed youve just memorised from atheism 101, The Really Relevant foes such as the Eminent Professor William Lane Craig just yanked richard dawkins pantys down and spanked his, yours and every one of his feckless dupes overblown and undeserved reputations, Old Testament Style :D

Fledgling evoTardo's must come up with hyperbole more consistent with the reality that atheism is in the Crapper :D

  • Quality

  • !!! HOW DARE YOU! I AM VERY OFFENDED. ....I HATE Apple. :D

  • Bravo

  • There's a difference though, the text in this one holds no truth while the text in the theist one does.

  • This is cool, you're stepping it up a gear!

  • Although 911 has been classified as religious extremism, religion was still the cause.

  • @CompleteRationality No it wasn't. Extremist religion effected the way it was carried out a great deal, but it did not cause it.

  • @LatumWay What convinced those people to fly planes into buildings then?

  • @CompleteRationality Maybe that part was the religion. Maybe they're religion is what made it a suicide attack instead of just a bomb. Maybe their interpretation of Islam encouraged them.

But the MOTIVATION for the attacks, what caused something to happen instead of nothing, was political.

  • @LatumWay And the device used to manipulate them into doing it was religion.

  • @CompleteRationality They manipulated it themselves. I'm not arguing that religion wasn't a factor. Hell, I've said that I do generally think that religion does more bad than good. But saying 'religion caused 9/11' is grossly ignorant and reactionary.

  • @LatumWay They manipulated themselves? Did you think about that statement before you typed it? People were indoctrinated. The 911 attackers were *influenced* by religion. Of course, the people in charge had a *political* agenda, but religion was used to convince them that there was something good about killing themselves along with thousands of others. I'm not generalizing *religion* here and saying that religion is evil, rather I'm saying that there is evil spawned from religion.

  • @CompleteRationality I said they manipulated IT themselves. They used their interpretation of Islam to justify their attacks. Remember - terrorism and suicide attacks are not solely the realm of religious extremism. My point is, many believe that given the circumstances, an attack was inevitable. The question is, how did religion effect how the attack manifested? That is the question you need to ask yourself. Stop tell me religion caused attacks like 9/11. Its simply not that simple.

  • @LatumWay Of course it caused it. How do you think that you are going to recruit people to commit suicide unless they are brainwashed enough to believe that a paradise is waiting for them?

If you want to educate yourself, you should read "Knowing the Enemy" by Mary Habeck. It's a credible window into Jihadist ideology.

It is from the terrorists viewpoint and shows how bin Laden made his decisions based on the lack of U.S. response to Beirut and Somalia.

    No Allah no 911.

  • @parallelsdumaurier You can make terrorism without killing yourself.

  • @parallelsdumaurier Bull shit. That is all.

  • @parallelsdumaurier "It is from the terrorists viewpoint and shows how bin Laden made his decisions based on the lack of U.S. response to Beirut and Somalia."

I'm sorry, but that is a complete failure as a justification. Al-Qaeda has reasons for wanting to attack the infidels in the first place, and these are the cause of their Jihadist campaign. The fact that the west did not respond harshly to earlier such campaigns is not a cause. For the Jihadists it's a sign that Allah is with them.

  • @parallelsdumaurier I have to say though, it's amazing that anyone could come to such a conclusion as what you did there. It's not like there's a lack of material of Jihadists clearly stating their motivation as tools of Allah in bringing about the Islamic domination promised in the Qur'an. Does that book you recommended not deal with actual Jihadist doctrine or propaganda at all? You realize that these people, and al-Qaeda in particular, believe they defeated the USSR with Allah's help?

  • @parallelsdumaurier Things such as that are the actual motivations for attacking the US. They are acting on traditional Islamic imperialist doctrine, the US running the USSR bankrupt in the cold war is misinterpreted as a ragtag band of clowns in Afghanistan being assisted in battle by Allah like in the stories in the Qur'an, and now that the first superpower had been defeated it was time to take on the next one and subsequently reestablish the caliphate. That's their reasoning in a nutshell.

  • @parallelsdumaurier How do the Tamil Tigers - a secular group who invented the suidice bombing technology and modus operandi - recruit their suicide bombers?

    No Allah - no Tamils?

    Obviously not.

So is there more to it than religion?

    Clearly.

  • @parallelsdumaurier I refer you to my above comment.

  • @parallelsdumaurier wrote: "No Allah no 911."

Wow. That's not much different than saying, no Arabs, no 911.

A more accurate statement would be:

No *illegal occupation* by the United States and Israel in Arab lands, no 911. It's really that simple. If you think it's religion, you've dupped yourself.

I’m an atheist as well, and I’d love it if it were true that simply removing religion would stop this. But then you learn why it happened, and you realize that’s an Atheist pipe dream.

  • @parallelsdumaurier No Wright brothers, no 9/11.

  • @LatumWay "Extremist religion effected the way it was carried out a great deal, but it did not cause it."

You're exactly right. Bin Laden didn't board any of those planes. On that end, you need a religious extremist. Not too many people would commit suicide for political rewards.

  • @fdasherv "Not too many people would commit suicide for political rewards"

Tell that to the Tamil Tigers, some of the terrorists who tried to assassinate Alexander III, Rudolph Christoff von Gershoff (he tried to kill Hitler) and the Viet Minh.

  • @Afriboy10 No doubt some throughout history were altruistic. But most suicide warriors get heavenly rewards, their families taken care of, or infamy. And they have to be cultivated. von Gersdorff lived to a ripe old age. Patrick Henry (give me liberty or give me death...) lived to a ripe old age. Kamikaze pilots needed to be drugged. Sultan's assassins were given hashish. A normal mindset notably does not rush off to death unless it's been whipped into a frenzy.

  • @fdasherv Altruistic is not the word I'd use. Fanatical, maybe. Again, *a lot* of suicide attackers believe they get rewards, not most. von Gersdorff only lived to an old age, because he failed, but the intent was there. Also, propaganda in many respects is sometimes all the cultivation some will need. Not all the Kamikaze pilots were drugged. Some really bought in to the "Japan destined to take over the world" rhetoric. For others, an altered state of mind is needed to carry out those tasks.

  • @CompleteRationality Your sentence is weird. By using "Although" you introduce the notion that the second clause of your sentence will contradict your first clause, but then you just say the same thing. So I'm not sure if you think religion was the cause of 9/11 or not. In any case, 9/11 was more a result of U.S. occupation of Middle Eastern territories and their support for oppressive Middle Eastern dictators.

  • @dustinjt I used "although" to indicate an acknowledgement of Muslim extremism to separate them from the general Islamic community. I very clearly said that religion was the cause, or at least I thought I was clear.

  • I prefer monotypes to stereotypes, heck I heard that next year they're coming out with HiDeftypes (can't wait for that), but this is classically brilliant. Someone below said to do agnostics, please.. .keep going... hit all the major religions and anti-religions. Needed these laughs today. Two Thumbs WAY up!

  • Make one for "agnostics" please :3

  • @Impmon51

Agnosticism deals with knowledge, theism/atheism deals with belief.

You're either an atheist or a theist AND at the same time be a gnostic /agnostic.

I myself is an agnostic atheist, which means I live my life as if there is no god, I'm pretty damn sure there isn't one, but if someone asked me "Do you actually KNOW that there's no god?" I would say no.

  • Pat Condell is that you?...

  • Brilliant.I watch this two times through to catch the great subtitles.

  • I was about to unsub because the recent video material has not been that interesting to me, but now I remember why I subbed in the first place.

    Brilliant humor.

  • Yeeeah, don't we all love stereotypes? Applies to the other vid as well btw.

  • Best video Ive seen all week

  • "wake up" = "I am a twat"

  • I want to think like you, Latumway!

  • Great video! Thanks for offending everyone. We all need a good slap in the face once and a while.

  • Yep, I used to be EXACTLY like this when I first became an atheist. I like to think that I've now elevated *slightly*, but I probably haven't as much as I'd like.

  • I understand the comedy here, man. And I understand what you're doing after the whole "Atheist community is dead" thing. But don't forget, you were in the mix. I mean, you were one of the major players in the mix. And while the us/them thing may be fading away, as best it should by now, I don't really understand why you're taking the distant, comedic position of neutrality. "we're all stupidly closed minded." Noted. But after all this time arguing your position, it's a bit dramatic.

  • lol. Nice touch at the end ;)

  • But... I never read "The God Delusion."

  • Great video and well said Lantum way :)

    All love and respect

  • I used to be like that when I had just 'converted'. Looking at how similar my views back then were with some of the views you were taking the piss out of here, feelsbadman.jpg

  • P accurate imo
