it think most people who have accents when they sing don't sound like it because when you sing, your words are drawn out so it's harder to pick up on an accent. some singers u can hear it, but you can tell it's not as strong as when they speak.

if i remember correctly, i remember reading that your accent and your musicality come from two different sides of your brain. so when you sing your accent isn't apparent in your voice as it normally would be if you were merely talking because they aren't connected. anyone correct me if I'm wrong :)
