Here's the thing: if all insects were to disappear today from the face of the earth, all life would be lost within fifty years. If humans were to disappear today, within fifty years all life on earth would flourish. It's not just a little minnow, it's a huge ecosystem. Humans can adapt and retool their needs. Maybe think solar panel/wind farms? Move food production to areas where water is plentiful?
Why? They think it needs too much water, the reclamation is too expensive, and can't figure out any other way to save the Delta Smelt other than to shut off the water
Currently, they are erecting a screen to keep the fish out of the pumps....good luck with that.
ESA takes farmers out of the equation deliberately. Read some of the working papers
That's our Laws folks.
So goes California, so goes the rest of the Country.
I just heard on Hannity's show that Diane Finestine voted AGAINIST the bill that would HELP the CAL. FARMERS.. She needs to be voted out of office as soon as posibile.
Well, I knew about this a couple of months ago. Glad everyone decided to jump aboard. I guess people do rely on the mass media. Who did not show the protest with Homeland Security there to control the crowd. Whatever. Go back to watching American Idol.
Jim, it's part of the left's plan for wealth redistribution. All those monies for vegetables and fruits will be sent to other countries. Let's watch and see where these items begin to be imported from...
Well who can't see that the last administrations (no matter if dem or rep) have been doing all their best to destroy the USA, why can't most of you still not see that it's no fkn coincidence and that they want to destroy this country? Now, the reason for that would be debatable of course.

ESA - imposed restrictions
They want to DRY OUT THE CENTRAL VALLEY.

This comment has received too many negative votes show
Is this a national issue? Why? Where is water mentioned in the Constitution?
If we didn't have Federal water regulation, we wouldn't be poisoned by flouride every time we drink it.
rockhuddy 2 years ago
It is a national issue because it was a bill by the federal congress that caused the destruction of our food supply.
clemedia 2 years ago
@ rockhuddy: The problem is that the government has unconstitutionally redirected water for other purposes...was water in the Constitution then?
