The end of the world has been just around the corner since the year 999, the year 1999, the 12th century when 1/4 of Europe died from the plague, the great war of the world in the early 20th century, Hitler was the antichrist signalling the end of the world in the mid 20th century, etc. etc.
Belief in "the end of the world" reflects your own psychology very accurately. Actual reality on the other hand seems to continue despite many centuries filled with signs that the end is near.

umm No... i have been brought up to believe in Jesus Christ and i STILL fear the lord and his return because i was brought up in many different faiths i am confused and therefore try to research what GOD says rather than what PEOPLE say. Though his word is very cryptic and confusing. I have 4 children whom i have told about god and jesus and i am very interested in the TRUTH for their sake. I fear for my children, or not enough time to live life with them. it has nothing to do with being wicked.

When Jesus lived in the land of Israel about 2000 years ago, he gave a very simple and concise answer when someone asked him when he would return: He explained that NO ONE knows the hour or the day, except for God the Father (Matthew 24:36).
The end of the world has been just around the corner since the year 999, the year 1999, the 12th century when 1/4 of Europe died from the plague, the great war of the world in the early 20th century, Hitler was the antichrist signalling the end of the world in the mid 20th century, etc. etc.
Belief in "the end of the world" reflects your own psychology very accurately. Actual reality on the other hand seems to continue despite many centuries filled with signs that the end is near.

@casseychaos it never said the physical world will end. The Bible uses "the World" in many different context. Genesis 41:57, 1 Kings 10:24, Matthew 18:7, John 3:16, John 3:17, John 6:51, John 7:7. Use critical thinking and the knowledge of what you know of the Bible if you are truly a Bible student when reading these scriptures. Is God talking about the physical "World" or "People IN the World"? So why do you automatically assume that because of one scripture he who said in Ecclesiastes 1:4 the
