Hey, I'm the 14,00th viewer! And I commented on this vid and song a year ago, when it had, like 5000 hits. Glad to see people are sharing this killer song, and to the dude who saved this video, you are very much the man!
@120iron ....you hit the nail on the head bud...big time....best bar band ..i ever seen...had the pleasure of seeing them alot in the early to mid 80's...should of made it bigger...they rocked the ''Jokers'' every time !!
@120iron ..Couldnt have said it better bud...these guys should have been ROCK STARS...never got the recognition...they so well deserved ! Honoured to have seen them many times live in the 80's ...big time thumbs up !! ;)
Late 70's and early 80's Canadian Metal at its finest!! I bought this Coney Hatch album on 12" vinyl when I was about 18 years old in in late 1982 when it debuted.
Garbage Can?? These guys were a great band !!! They should have been huge but they did not- very underated awesome band !!! Thanks for posting and saving this gem from the garbage can-- I have all the stuff they put out.Awesome!!
The first Coney Hatch album is so bad ass - STILL! 1982/'83 was just a phenomenal time as far as Canadian hard rock goes. Coney, Santers, Lee Aaron, Headpins, Aldo Nova and Anvil all coming out with great 1st and 2nd albums and blowing people away in addition to Rush, Triumph, Frank Marino and Saga putting out amazing music!
saw Carl Dixon Live on Sat night Sept.11.10 at the Cambridge Fall fair had Sean Kelly on second guitar, jus as tight as the original line up played all the great songs . look out for them they are playing live
Saw them open for Trooper in New Likeard many years ago. My buddy and I had never heard of them and wouldn't you know we were blown away after only one song. The band was amazingly tight and I just couldn't believe the passionate play from the drummer. It was one of them moments when you see a band live and realize "this is one magical moment". Trooper came on a bit later and after two songs we decided to leave not wanting to temper with that amazing vibe Coney Hatch provided.
first heard of them in '85 i think, it blew me away, it was in my mate's honda and he had an impressive aiwa cassette hi fi system in those days, yes you read right -cassette player!!
Siiiiick! Can feel the meat vibrating off my bones from those strats through marshalls wide open. Great vid of a band that should be much closer to the forefront of the lexicon of modern music. Too bad business often dictates what we hear.
By the way, anybody do that 30 foot platform dive into the quarry? 80's Shirkston, good times.

Almost 30 years on and Steve Shelski's guitarwork on this one STILL sends shivers down my spine. A VERY underappreciated player...
