Drill ride disaster

not exactly a disaster, i've done drill work in a lesson before where we'd go up the centre line and 1's would go left & 2's would go right; the horse infront was inexperienced so he just wanted to follow others, the person infront of him went left as they should, but the inexperienced horse wouldn't go they way it was meant to go and ended up ramming into the wall! :/

honestly the horse just bolted. all horses have their off days, and mt horse is constantly doing that... she never gives up yet neither do I. Good job staying on!

Never fun! Man, I was at a drill competition over the weekend, and we where in a theme class (we where knights). We where in a sweep when one hyper mare pulled out and went a few laps around the arena before she got back into her spot. Then another riders hip drop fell of and in a circle on horse spooked and the girl fell of in front of me. Thankfully I was on my barrel mare right behind her, and i galloped up to the loose little guy and grabbed the reins..that video will be up soon

if he does it again pull either rein right against your knee so he/she has to do a small circle. Not in a violent way thought to hurt the horse.

i guess my definition of disaster is a bit different frrom yours. my horse acts like that (with a few bucks added in) on a fairly regular basis, because he feels good and wants to play, and i love every minute of it
