Roxy, next time you want to get a smell out, try kitty litter. I hear it works wonderful, worth a shot. Lots of great must haves for 2011, fun to see what everyone loves, tfs
So basically you can't live without me.....I'm just sayin'. I heart your favs Rox!!! You are the cheese in my macaroni, the meatballs in my spaghetti, the skip in my step....and lastly...the Hazelnut creamer in my coffee!
Cool stuff Roxy-I love your suitcases, I bought a bunch when I was into photography-they make great props. Too late now, but next time try a dryer sheet closed in it for a few days. Thanks for tagging me but I am so boring! I will try to come up with something ;)
I love the Northridge mags, I get the cricut and the cards mags. I want to get the handmade one too. I felt the same way about the gypsy and I love it! That explains alot about the MS paint, I went to get some delta, cause it's creamy and covers well and there wasn't any...now I know to get the MS-thanks! I did not know about the felt, I will totally have to get some!
Lots of great Faves!! Where did you buy the La Blanche paper? When you die cut with that felt, do you just lay it flat like paper? Or do you prepare it somehow before cutting? TFS
@5redbird You die-cut the felt just like paper, it goes through just fine. I bought the LaBlanche paper from my distributor, let me know if you need some. :)
Love you story..lol...great collection and that last stamp set you showed....hay thats mine........lol. Love it all. And oh the things you can do with felt...keep it on the low down, don't tell every on
Roxy I have been collecting old suitcases for years, even have a couple of round ones! Have not had a mold problem we live in Nevada ... Dry, dry, dry, very low humidity!
I used to use them for my craft show displays too. great stuff all you ladies have been shareing on the fav's 2011, some of which I've not seen before!
Omg what a story about the charcoal lol reminds me of that movie Sunshine Cleaners I heart the old suitcases I saw some at a farmer's market last summer and I forgot to go back and get them ugh! The sizzix die and folder is neat, I heart vintage buttons too. Thanks for sharing your favs and stories Roxy!
Love all the crap er stuff you have in your suitcase. Bleach gets rid of mold and mildew, just don't know how good it would be for the fabric. I don't know if the smell will go away if you don't get rid of the source. Good lick.
@missylady53 I thought of bleach but it'd ruin the fabric. Tearing out the fabric worked, so I replaced it with burlap and muslin, it looks cool. Thanks for the lick! :)
Love your favs Roxy. I still need to make my video response of my favs. A dryer sheet removes odors but there is some stuff called Orange TKO that is for mildew and it is all natural made from the peel of oranges and so you might look it up and try it. I love my suitcases too.
I've got to tell you...I Love Your Stories!! LOL I lol with the charcoal story! Too funny! I enjoyed your list. I love the idea of glittler in a shaker bottle! TFS ;)
Ha! You made the video! I am in love with the Northridge Publications.......do you have the new "Vintage" one? I had to laugh at the charcoal story........so nice of her to share LOL! So agree with the Martha Stewart paints.......new love :) Thanks for the glitter tip and for sharing your bounty Rox! Loving all your buttons and the milk jug and thanks to you I own that Typewriter set LOL!! Have a great week!
@roxyfur Roxy, the same exact thing happened to me! I had pre ordered it in November with free shipping (which they never gave me) and I just called them and asked when the magazine was going to launch and they said it was out already!!! WTF? Weird huh?
Anyway, finally got it free (NOT) shipping and all LOL!
@shoeprincess1 I'm glad you told me this! I will be on the phone on Monday! I thought I was imaging things after while, like I never really ordered it. HA!
I was told that if you use coffee grounds (fresh) it gets rid of the smell. You can put it in a sock or open container. I like the sock idea so it won't spill all over. This comes from a person who fixes old musical instruments. He puts it in the cases to remove the "old" smell. And you can use a coupon on magazines at Joanns.
Hey Roxy, did you say stampboutique for the crazy looking girl one LOLOL!!! I love those stamps and I dont know the name of them. And i love your 2011 favs and must haves you have some different favs TFS, mucho hugs, Anna
Yay for the Gypsy. I love mine too. Thanks for the shout out, I'm blushing...I need to try the Martha Stewart paints, you reminded me. I've never seen that bird die, I'm going to have to check that out too. Thanks for sharing your faves!
Wyatt says "well I cant see her hair". --- He's watching with me. Bahahaha...you're crap. Im a fan of Stampotique as well. I of course like all the junk in your trunk.
Wow, what a story! LOL. I was hoping you'd say the charcoal worked because I have an old suitcase I need to cure. Plus, I love,..love, love, that Fairy Dust & the glue gloss!!!!
Fun products! I love how you go off on tangents when talking! I do the same :)
