@monez14 I just got a MacBook pro - I wanted a 13" Notebook... and had a good look around! There were few other notebooks that came close to the same spec, most that were similar were around the same price! The majority of the other notebooks have no where near as good build quality, screen or battery life... Please - if you can find a better notebook for £999 than my MacBook Pro - let me know! I still have a few days to send this one back! :D
macs are mainly for everything video production pictures video chatting it is best for artist the mac is found that most artist buy it like me im not an artist im an ametur phographer im getting a macbook 13 inch white for videos and pictures
You are SOO wrong.....my school got a grant and they got MacBooks...EVERYONE graduating HATED giving up our macs..I begged my parents to get me one..they did and I LOVEEEE ITT!!!!!!!!!:)) it's the 2008 15inch pro.
just wondering how come Apple in general is just obsessed with picture management? Seems in every product they just focus on smart and new ways to manage pictures. Wonder if anyone actually has that many pictures.
The only function which is picture specific is the rotation feature. All the other functions work on firefox/safari webbrowsers. As a mac owner I find these abilities useful.
@AlphaStory Correct me if I'm wrong, but, MACs are mainly focused on design.... so its good for those doing arts/media/graphics/music... Thats how I use em... I use Linux for my other stuff... but for graphics n music, Mac is better.... (for me, Windows is for games and other stuff requiring compatibility)...
So for photographers and other branches/degrees relating to art, I'd say Mac is better..
@wdrpsp19 "MACs are mainly focused on design.... so its good for those doing arts/media/graphics/music..."
lol wut? Maybe if you don't know what you're doing. The software functions EXACTLY the same on both Windows and Mac. There are no killer apps when it comes to creative software. It's all about preference and a lot of so-called professionals have no taste so they use what everyone else uses: a Mac.
I'm doing some research into the MacBook. I currently have an Acer. I produce a lot YouTube videos, and my system freezes sometimes during production and/or after the production process.
im so buying one of these... being a uni student in the uk you get 15% off.. so it brings the price closer to rivals so i think its all good... i hear the pro can also run microsoft windows which i might need for my files on my pc, does anyone know if you can do this?
Go to System Preferences in the Applications folder. Under the "Hardware" heading it says trackpad. Click on that to customize your shortcuts. You can click each check box which un-checks=disables the shortcuts you don't want.
I just want to know how to double click. Is it the whole touchpad or just the bottom part? Someone please answer this, I am about to pull the trigger on a MacBook.
check your settings (touchpad). Normal setting is: one finger on the pad, tap by second finger (right). If you set it to 'secondary tap', it will change to tapping with two fingers. Very convenient.
I found out by asking a friend how she did it. Good advice for when that first doesn't work out :)
Go the system preferences then "trackpad" to choose what action signifies a double click (in preferences it's called secondary click.) By default I think it is the right bottom corner. I find that tedious so I set it to do a secondary tap with two fingers but it's up to you.
You forgot how to show gestures in webpages and texts. Gestures*

@MrTheYoussef Maybe you're editing it, or you want to view something in the photo at a different angle.

I've found out people only use the mac for internet usage, because they can't support anything else.
But when google os comes out the mac will have no one using it.
