George Lopez didnt do any act-outs afterwards. All he used was a similiar punch-line. If Lopez did take the idea, he re-appropiated it well and made it his own, using different delivery, and cleaned it up.
But its hard to know if a person is stealing jokes. I like Chapelle's joke better though. He added more layers and tagged it.

Chapelle wrote the joke which took brains, and delivered it well which took talent. Lopez just said it, which means he can read from a card. No question who is the better comedian.
I would say that most likely Lopez stole the joke but i think it's not entirely impossible for him to come up with that joke without hearing it from Chapelle. But the most obvious thing was that Chapelle is sooooo much funnier than Lopez.
The order of the video is misleading Dave Chapelle did this joke years before Lopez. Thats killing them softly by Dave which is from 2000 the lopez bit is from 2007. Just to clarify.
Chris Rock does a similar bit, about no white man wanting to appoint a black man VP. Because some other black person will shoot him, so the black VP would be President.
The delivery of Chappelle is so much more natural, and so much more intuitive than Lopez. In all honesty though, stealing spoken material is so hard to enforce because it happens naturally. If I hear my teacher say 2/3 of the Earth is covered in water, if I say that, does that count?

all lopez does is talk about how mexicans are awsome and how white people are laxy and oppressive. It's not offensive, but it's just annoying after a while. At least chapelle has different material.

I like both comedians. There's nothing new under the Sun, & everyone has there own visions & views of every aspect of life. With Chappelle, the joke was more of a vision in 2000. Which is a credit to his imagination. I'm more than sure Chappelle's joke was very INSPIRING for a CURRENT event that was almost REALITY in 2008; so therefore, the time frame for Lopez's joke was very appropriate & appurtenant.

I would say that most likely Lopez stole the joke but i think it's not entirely impossible for him to come up with that joke without hearing it from Chapelle. But the most obvious thing was that Chapelle is sooooo much funnier than Lopez.

The delivery of Chappelle is so much more natural, and so much more intuitive than Lopez. In all honesty though, stealing spoken material is so hard to enforce because it happens naturally. If I hear my teacher say 2/3 of the Earth is covered in water, if I say that, does that count?
