This boss is so hard!! im lvl 50 with aqua and i have all the abilities unlocked, HE STILL RAPES ME!! it's funnny because the first time i sttarted the battle i couldnt believe how easy it looked.... he takes your hp to 1 with every combo, no matter how high your hp is!

@NeedaBettrName the seeker mine trick is to wait until he shotlocks you then double flight and dash over his head and unleash as many seeker mines as you can. i've gotten up to 3 or four. and throw down some mines and dodge on top of them so her runs into them.

hey! nice vid! :D its cool to see someone kill vanitas lingering spirit at lvl 46 at critical mode, i defeated him with ventus at standard mode at lvl 60 by going behind a rock and using strike raid :P (Fail) i also did the lvls 20-30 at the arena at lvl 60 so it got a bit boring. the mysterious figure still kicks my ass though! :(

I think you have to defeat Vanitas in a Story Mode savefile, not in the Final Episode.

After that you can go to the Land of Departure

But only if the Remnant see's you. but since there's not that much cover in the badlands. and i completely doubt that any of the three story characters are fast enough to get to it before the Remnant caches up. It's better to use Potion commands

For those who are having trouble, The big boulders actually serve as a perfect hiding spot. Since it fools the enemy AI quite easily into thinking it can't walk around its, unorthodox movement patterns. What I do is take a seeker mine behind a huge boulder, and lay it here then come around to where the enemy AI can see me so that it will follow, and land in the mine, then I go to the other side of the boulder, rinse and repeat.

To get those, meld commands. Once more and second chance are from 'chaos crystal', if I am not mistaken. It will take a few melds to get it though. Leaf bracer is from melding commands with 'soothing crystals'.

@veoran223 Save progress after credits. Then when you go back to the main menu go to load Final Episode and go back in to game. Go over to the Badlands (you don't have to face the final boss) and fight Vanitas Lingering Spirit. After you beat him in the Final Episode you should be able to go back into the other saves you made for Terra, Aqua, and Ventus and fight both Vanitas Lingering Spirit and Mysterious Figure any time you want.

Save progress after cr

Once you find the last report on whoever story got the last report on (plus the letter that you get at the beginning if Vens story), go to a save point or world map save and save whatever progress done you have. Then after you saved and have all the reports on the character you saving on, a message

Vanitas looks exactly like Sora because he was born of Ventus' heart. At first, he was faceless which is why he wore the mask. But after Sora's heart fused with Ven's, Vanitas took on Sora's appearance but at Ven's age

It is still unknown how ventus's heart was fixed in the beginning of the game and why vanitas looks a lot like 15 year-old sora. It might just be one of the those many unimportant blankpoints.

Ven was 15-17 so of course it'd look like a 15-17 year old Sora instead of a 5-year-old, the host [Ven] is a teenager not a child.

Important points actually. And Nomura confirmed Ven/Sora have never met physically.

I've got him down to about as much health as he does at 5:21 then he sends me to 1hp, blinds and confuses me, then he heals. He uses his dark bubble, I dodge all of them except the last one, and I die. By the way: Vanish Works!
