I got this video for my wife for Christmas and she loved it so much she uses it in her third grade curriculum. It's much better than Gettysburg because all that happened at Gettysburg was the Gettysburg address which only saved the union. Big deal. Lincoln's greatest contribution was pardoning the south for this atrocious battle.

You won't see anything about this battle in Ken Burns' series which I like to watch when I have a terrific bout with insomnia.

As an expert of the occult and the Civil War, the Union had no idea what they were up against at this famous battle. First use in history of chemical weapons on an opposing army which caused Abe Lincoln to pardon the south, but not till the damage was already done.
