@antidisenstable Indeed some consider that a well known fact, her kindness is something that is always commented on when people who were close to her speak in documentaries. I believe she was quite a different person in private!
You wanna go to university? Then you do it the hard way. GCSE and A levels. Access to H.E was yet another feeble Tory attempt to massage the unemployment figures. Does anyone remember YTS? sending kids to "train" full time in unskilled jobs for £29 pw only to end up on the dole when they were 18! Good un Mags! Improve the morale and esteem of the kids.
Yes liloroon. I agree it is hardly imaginable that she would become a PM again. The age is just too high. Thats why I vote UKIP... They are not perfect ofc. But there is just noone better among tories who would protect my freedom better
The Council houses had been paid for 100 times over with rent that had been paid anyway. Thatcher was the biggest mistake this country ever made and so much damage that could never be repaired.
No, opportunity that was never open to me before her. She empowered the working class by facilitating home ownership, access to HE and self employment. The dole was my choice and it was also my choice to get off it.
Like the country was in a good state before she came in? It was in tatters and we were an embarassment.Yes, it took time to sort it out but she did and the country was in a much better state on the whole in 97 than it was before her and than it is now!
You should have tried travelling down the Tyburn road every morning into town and seeing the factories closing day by day, mate. How does that empower any working man?She did fuck all for the working class, exept sell them the council houses they lived in,the same council houses their Mums,Dads,Nans and Grand-dads had already payed for with THEIR taxes.Guess what?No more affordable housing.

Council house ownership = Less Council homes and substandard Housing associations. Access to He has around 30 people per tutor group in September and by June only around 6 are left. Even if one left on the first day, the Government still has to cough up £300. Access is very inferior to A levels and has made no effort to entice men.
She was brilliant as a leader regardless of dim bulb's like herringthorpe, have to say just imagine Kinnock as GB's Pm you daft prick. The country would be bankrupt unions would still rule the day. Get stuffed.
Thatcher enjoyed a double stroke of luck: the split of the Left in 1981 followed by the Falklands conflict the following year. Until then, she trailed in every opinion poll, her policies were deeply unpopular and unemployment topped 3 million. But for these events, she may not have secured a second term.
What r u talkin bout herringthorpe? strikers brought britain to its knees! The 'working class' were their own enemy then. This lady picked up the pieces. She was brilliant!
what the hell, this woman is called the iron lady of britan she is one of the best politions out there, very few woman can make it in government and she made it give the woman credit yeah douche
You can tell both her and Denis have a great sense of humour!

"Bye, love! Where are you?"
"Bye, Mum!"
"Bye bye, love!"
That's the closest we will ever get to seeing the woman behind the politician.

It's really funny to see Mrs Thatcher laughing. I've never seen her laughing before. I'm sure she is a very warm person in private.

@antidisenstable Indeed some people would consider that a well known fact!
Many people close to Mrs Thatcher comment in documentaries and in interviews that she is a very warm and welcoming host!
I also thought the way she said "Bye Bye Love" at the end to Carole really showed something of her true side too!

@antidisenstable I´m absolutely sure she was :D

Rather a man in his sixties though with plenty of government experience than a forty-year-old chancer like Cameron though.

Even in her current state though she'd still do a better job than both Brown and bLiar put together.
