@flamingdcla they wouldnt survive in the wild anyways because they were created through inbreeding, causing them many health problems and if they were to be released in the wild, they will starve to death since they cant hunt because of their bright color.

Sadly, this is an example of how Zoos will twist beauty to get a few more bucks...white bengal tigers are inbred by zoos to get this result...the majority of the tigers inbred have major health issues or aren't pretty enough so the zoos toss them or kill them or sell as pets and get caged up to live a horrible life and suffer...KNOW THE FACTS! THIS ISNT A GOOD THING TO SEE!!!!!!!

@Irishtigergal Stop Crying you Asshole and just Enjoy the Beuty. The Readon the Zoo does this is because they have Medication wich balances out their Imperfections Such as AntiViral and AntiBiotics. They wouldnt be Allowed to Interbreed them if they didnt. but the Tigers Are healthy maybe even more healthy then others. because they share the genetic Immunizations of Two Completely Seperate Breeds of Tigers. so their Actually Healthier ... and if i am wrong i dont give a shit. just Stfu Crybaby

If someone opens their cage and sets them free...will they run because their instincts tell them to or do they stay and do nothing because they have no knowledge of whats outside the cage? actually they are simply Bengal tigers with a genetic condition called leucism, which causes reduced pigmentation. They have been extensively bred in captivity as they are a draw for zoos and wildlife parks, which unfortunately means that many of them are inbred and suffer the detrimental effects. It's not a separate breed only a genetic disease. If they extincted it would actually be a good thing

White tigers themselves are not a separate subspecies. In fact, they are not typically even found in the wild and haven't been seen in the wild since the 1950s. Moreover all white tigers in captivity nowadays come from one or two white tigers so there is a lot of inbreeding occuring.

Additionlly, there are a little more than 2500 left. Even the most dire estimates put their numbers only down to 3200 in the wild.
