Filipino foods are generally organic if the authentic no MSG(sodium Glutamate),Ilocano dishes are simple yet nutritious like Dinengdeng is mixture of vegetables dahon ng malunggay, jute(saluyot),camote,at patola pagkatapos may sahog pang inihaw na bangus siguradong mabubusog ka na.Samahan mo pa ng pangdulceng halaya(purple yam cake)bundat na po.
@Amy1Atl, tama ka diyan. There are so many nutritious options for Filipinos. They just don't realize it. We also have ampalaya (bitter gourd or bitter melon), camote (sweet potatoes), pakaskas (coconut palm sugar). We also have the sweetest manggoes and bananas. Mahal dito ang mga yan. The Philippines is indeed rich in natural resources and culture!
I don't quite get the question, but FYI, Filipinos eat with spoon & fork & with fork if eating street food. Sometimes they would eat with their hands, but there's a technique in handling food with their hands. I don't understand why you are defensive.
i hope i could put a restaurant here in peru, sadly there ain't much filipino here..pero pag me okasyon kming mga magkakaibigan na pinoy dito ay sarap na sarap nman ang mga bisita ko na peruano at iba pang lahi sa ating mga pagkain lalo na sa sisig at sinigang..
it would be so amazing if u could open a filipino restaurant here.i have filipino blood and ive been looking for other filipinos here but yeah there arent many. Ive been raised the pinoy way because of my lola so i really feel close the culture.i hope you could reply...
hey, how are you? i live here in san isidro, lima, every saturday i cook filipino foods and sings some old songs in guitar,we are 5 filipinos here, 2 pinays and 3 pinoys, if you're not busy you can join us here in our place, here is my number +511992865111 and can you give me your number also?
hi, my name is karen. i am in miraflores and have been searching for filipino's in the area for months now. i want to eat filipino food but dont know where to go, or where to buy the stuff i need to make it.
Interestingly enough, Filipino chicken curry and Kare Kare did come from the influence of Indians who settled in the Philippines before the Spaniards came. However, the Filipino chicken curry uses coconut milk and is not too spicy...Kare Kare, well, it just looks like curry, but tastes nothing like the Indian curry. Don't get me wrong....I love Indian curry, but Filipinos created these with the local flavors to come up with their own version of chicken curry and Kare Kare.
