hey dj Mikey mike. I love the videos, great stuff. I'm in the very early stages of adding a booth to my services. I am thinking I want a touch screen pc, nice xlr camera, and headache free printer. I would love to see how your booth looks all set up and working. It may be just what I had in mind. Any help would be great.
I've been trying to find a good pipe set up like you showed for yours. I don't want to go with PVC and yours looks really nice. Can you share the brand?
Hi Mikey Mike.I love your work. I just purchased DSLR Remote Pro for Windows Photo Booth from Breeze Systems. Fantastic software with many features. However, I can't manage to figure it out. I need your help on how to use this software. DO you have a video on this or do you know someone who can give me instructions over the phone as I'm willing to pay for tutorials. Thank you. DJ Nader from Melbourne, Australia
I am all way to familiar with industrial pipe and drape sets. With all the trade shows I work and we have a bunch of it back in my mothers warehouse. Looks like I have another use for it. If anyone is looking to buy some pipe and drape real cheap, go to any trade show the day of closing. When everyone is breaking down you can pay the union workers for some of the pipe and drape. They always love to make the extra buck.
with the die sub - do you intend to give your clients unlimited prints....say if 6 people go in the booth, do they all get their own prints?
thats why i use an ink jet - then laminate the prints, the prints come out great, never had any complaints! no they are not Kodak quality, but its an affordable way to give everyone their own print, and encourage them to come back again and again!
something to think about. since i have the "pop up / booth style" i simply tell clients it is an enclosed booth and you can fit 6 people in it!
and then there isn't any more discussion about it. yeah the less choices the better! even for their guests, you can tell your clients you have a simple operation, but because it is simple the end result will be MORE PHOTOS for them! cant wait to see you use it at a gig :)
Great update ,I have 3 ideas I am working on, Most of the venues I am at are small so I have to keep that in mind.Great Video.Did not know that about the software issue .This Project is taking a while I am putting a lot of thought into it.
Keep up the good work buddy... People Do love the photo booths... Thanks for the info on the pipe and draping... I had never found that website.... One thing I was hearing... I don't know if this applies, but people are really not open to the "open booth concept" ... now this is coming from a few repeat customers of mine.... So one thing to consider is to have an enclosed booth for privacy...
Mike, used my touchscreen photobooth last night for about 900 person fundraiser at minute maid park, had no internet access and the software worked fine, i think my biggest issue was trying to get the lighting correct. I used a 99 dollar inkjet printer and the quality was fantastic. My total cost for the project was about 1200, HP toucscreen, software, printer, wireless router. I also projected the photos onto a projector and screen as the photos were taken to attract more traffic. I'll post vid
Thanks for the Update MM. Hope you get to feeling better soon. Can you put all the links in the description when you get a chance. Also did you get the printer, ink, paper, etc. ALL for that price? I've got my pipe and I'm looking at drape, any ideas where I can get a good deal on just drape? Totems are in so, I'm ready for the totem style idea you gave me.
I'll NEVER tell what I do. But it's ROCKING.
