  • its just a fucking ferret, and its hilarious

  • I'm aware that there's a certain percentage of dumb people in the world, but why do they all seem to converge to the comment section of youtube pet videos and shine the universe's brightest "dumb person here" spotlight on themselves while they try to tell pet owners what they're doing to they're own pets?

  • "scruffing" is the term for picking up a ferret by the "scruff" of their neck (loose skin). it doesn't hurt them. the yawning is a sign of submission, it's their way of saying "okay i'm sorry", because usually you scruff them to tell them they've done something wrong.

  • LISTEN.This man is't hurting this ferret!.I play with mine and pick him up like so.All he does is yawn!!!!!He is't in pain at all!!!!!!

  • Ok everyone i have a ferret but when you hold them like that it makes them relaxed and feel like there mom is holding them so stop saying that hurts them

  • That doesn't hurt a ferret. Usually when I have to cut my ferrets nails we hold him like that. They stay calm that way.

  • When you hold them like that it hurts them it may not seen like it dose but I dose hurt

  • @1justinbiebersbaby So you're a ferret whisperer and you asked him yourself?

  • @1justinbiebersbaby go away...

  • hes one of the wanker generation who dont give fuck about anything whats beautiful just music coputer games sex drugs kill thats all i would like to keep u like that and kick u in the nuts and see what kind sound u will make ....

  • @sad4ewer 1. He made the noise, not the ferret. I thought that was obvious.

    2. It doesn't hurt the animal in any way if you grab it like that.

    3. The middle part of your comment makes literally no sense.

  • @sad4ewer The idiocy of this comment actually made me laugh a bit.

  • You should hold your hand under the ferret for support

  • Scruffing a ferret is fine. Ferrets fight HARD and I've yet to see one get hurt. theyre tough little guys with some mean teeth, A ferret with establish dominance on another ferret by biting its scruff and dragging it across the floor. This is also a very effective way of training a young ferret that biting is unacceptable. I've had multiple ferrets and all of them have been trained out of biting FAR faster than even a puppy or kitten learns with this technique. The yawn is a show of submission.

  • I would respect you more if you didn't name your pet "jackass"

  • what would be funny is if he had a mohawk

  • dont do that are you mental ????????

  • @theredhoodedwolf Are YOU mental?

  • all "scruffing" does is relax them; that yawn means he's totally relaxed.

  • @nicster5608 It's actually a form of submission.

  • you are dick

  • MY FERRET ALMOST DiED ON ME CUZ OF THAT I PAiICED SCARY HUH!!

  • Well I came here to watch someone make a funny noise for a ferret.. I scrolled down to see if there were any funny comments to read and it's all about how to handle them! Grow up! I feel depressed now! Haha

  • @DiseasedSquidwurd thank you i feel the same -.-

  • How holding a ferret by the scruff of it's neck for 9 seconds I don't know.

However they can be held by the scruff of the neck - it doesn't hurt them. I occasionally do it to mine for a few seconds if he's naughty, and he is perfectly fine.

  • Comment removed

  • True, holding them by the scruff doesn't hurt them, but its not the best feeling in the world. Why were they scruffing it? if it was just to make it yawn and laugh, well, that doesn't seem right.

  • THEY DONT LIKE TO BE HUNG LIKE THAT OK YOU ARE A BIG JACK ASS OMG YOU DONT DIVERSE ANY PET IF YOU HOLD THEM LIKE THAT YOU MAYBE TUG ON THERE NICK TO GET THERE ATTENTION IF THERE BEING BAD

  • @Stars1271 Wow you have clearly never owned a pet and caps lock doesn't make you anymore important or smarter.

  • @TheDorkySquirrel WO I OWN UHH LETS SEE 8 PETS HMM I HAVE 6 FERRETS AND I FRICKING KNOW SOO SHUT YOUR TRAP BEFORE I SHUT IT FOR YOU

  • @Stars1271 I'd be curious to see how that works physically.

  • @Stars1271 LOL, that is all i have to say. CAPS LOCK! CRUISE CONTROL FOR ILLITERATE!

  • @Stars1271 Your a fucking idiot. Almost every ferret training book out there says to "scruff" them when needed. Its the ONLY way to clean their ears, and sometimes the only way to cut their nails if they don't like ferretone. If you had "6 FERRETS" then you would know this, but alas, your just an idiot youtube commenter.

  • @italia10588 but you dont hold them and scruff them you ass

  • ignorant people...... i grab my ferrets like that all the time, it doesnt hurt them at all.

  • cruel as fuk amatuer like sum1 sed do your homework b4 u fukin get a pet

  • fucking dumbfucks. that means all fucking animal parents r holding their babies wrong. i wish u hippie fucks would just stfu.

  • yur a jackass >:/

  • um...you need to hold their bottoms when you scruff them...their spines are not supposed to hang like that. You have got to support them. do your reading..

  • Holding them by the scruff does NOT hurt them. They go limp and make the yawning face due to the hold, and it usually calms them down. Some ferrets do not enjoy being held this way, but it doesn't hurt them.

  • @TheCakeIsALieGxG it actually can cause back issues for adult males duh to the fact that they are heavier in the bottom area. thats why u have to rest them in ur other hand to keep from causeind stress to their backs. but other than that it will not hurt them.

  • @TheJulBean Well yeah you're supposed to support their butt, neglected to mention that. Thanks for filling that in. :)

  • u don't hold jackass like that!! By the way your moms a hore

  • My ferrets hate scruffing, they prefer cuddles....

  • wow hes not the jackass. the guy holding it is.

  • @kegomekoroma It's called scrufifng you idiot.

  • @YorkieGalKen1777 Did i say the scruffing was why he was being a jackass? Wow your the idiot who the fuck was talking to you? Mind your own fucking buisness "IDIOT"

  • show ur face i see u when i see u

    lol

    still retard

  • only there parents should hold them like that though.

  • @legoman32100 It is fine to hold them like that for a short period. It releases stuff that calms them down, perfect for when you are brushing them, giving them medicine, or clipping their toenails.

  • I'm hoping they oneday understand the power of their bite. >:3

  • thats true it makes them yawn i have to scruff my ferret when i check her teeth. you should also do this if they have firmly bit you x

  • I know it doesn't hurt them, but your only supposed to do it if it's necessary this was for human entertainment which is wrong.

  • umm it hurts them more if you pick them up by the belly because there bones are so little.

  • thank you for the reply jackass the ferret yes i need to learn my english better even tho i live in england and have done all my life i like the way u have to get nuts wen somebody makes a mistake wow ur a real gent you seam the type of person i hunt and mug maby we should meet and check out the circumstances faggot

  • What did I say? Har du ikke forstår vanlig engelsk eller er du virkelig så jævla dum?

  • i wasnt flaming how you hold the ferret i just think it looks cruel

im not a reetard i no how animals are handled

the fact you replied saying its how the mother held them

your not the fuckin mother and if u are well go see a doctor

  • @snrav3r That had to be the stupidest fucking comeback I've ever heard. Kudos. You are probably the product of an incestuous redneck relationship. Don't fucking reply either until you can probably utilize English to your full advantage [MEANING LEARN IT].

  • i would find that scruel i wouldnt want so giant grabbing me by the scruff of the neck

  • @snrav3r Join PETA, see if you can stop your fucking bitching that way. Make sure you protest how an animal's mother carries its young as well. I want to see your results.

  • it doesnt hurt the ferret because the mother's of alot of animals carry them by the scruff and it doesnt hurt

  • It's dangling and it's bored haha!

  • lol BAAH.

  • When you hold a ferret by the scruff, no shit it's painless, and it makes them really tired and sometimes fall asleep which is SO cute!

  • people keep trying to say it hurts them in my video where i do this.if you know anything about ferrets, actully if you know anything about animals, you should know that this is harmless and thats how thier mums carry them around.even vets do it.get over yourself hippies

  • lmao people really think this hurts them? umm maybe if they are upside down and held by the tail it would.

  • lol... the yawn! XD

  • This is called "hanging a ferret." It does not hurt them. Trust me.

  • @HoS777 It's called a scruff.

  • i LOL at people who think this is hurting them.

question: would u have time to yawn if u were whimpering?

answer: no, u'd cry and fumble to run away.

question: what did u see this ferret do in the video?

answer: yawn as if it were an everyday act.

    conclusion: ignorant people fail.

  • Anyone ever seen a cat carry it's kittens? How do they do it?

Ever see a dog carry one of it's puppies? How do they do that?

Never owned a Ferret (stupid QLD and Ferrets being banned) but that animal didn't look stressed at all to be carried like that. If the animal is light enough to not be hurt by it, being carried by the scruff of the neck is natural.

I've even heard, in the case of Ferrets, it develops a bond, because the animal thinks of you as it's parent by being carried like that.

  • if you try to carry a cat by its scruff it'll get mad, believe me, i tried it. wasn't pretty.

i dunno if you can carry a dog by its scruff, the weight might be too much, even for smaller breeds but i'm pretty sure it would hurt.

i dunno about ferrets though, and i do agree that that ferret looked pretty calm. but the other two weren't very good examples

  • ummm you people do know this is how you handle a ferret and if you think im wrong ask a vet :D

  • ignorance is piss

  • @jenkem23 bliss

  • learn how to handle your pet correctly.

  • whenever kits (young ferrets) behave badly, their mother picks them up by their scruff and hiss at them. its natural to pick them up that way. you actually have to pick them up that way to clip their nails. nothing is wrong with it, it does not hurt it

  • @jenkem23 It is being handled correctly. As long as they have support for their feet it is in no way hurting the little animals, unless you are doing it for elongated periods of time, too hard, or shacking them. Learn your facts before critisizing the man who HAS hands on experience with ferrets unlike you. :]

  • Comment removed

  • @sophiexheyxhey my current ferret is 11 years old and quite healthy. ive been keeping them over 30 years. say something smart now

  • @jenkem23 Well cutos to you :] but it was being handled correctly, and you of all people would know that. Every one has there different ways for caring for ferrets so I was not trying to offend you.

  • haha look up ferret care, its the sleeper hold.i own 3 ferrets and its not mean

  • Scruffing them does not hurt them. It prevents them from hurting themselves AND you. Ferrets are very flexible. This is the best way to handle them without having them sprain or break something.

  • Your ferret is well big lol.

My ferret is only 3 months old so she's tiny at the minute.

I can't imagine her getting bigger.

  • if it hurts animals by holding them by their scruff their parents wouldn't carry them around by it.

  • Uh- yeah; they would.

  • no they wouldnt. if your mum kew she was hurting you by carrying you round by your leg she wouldnt do it. TWAT

  • Animal don't carry their offspring by their legs, genius. They do it by the scruff of the baby's neck, like in this video... x)

  • obviously you moron!! i used it as an example. parents wouldnt carry their offspring in a way that would hurt them.

  • Brah, chill. No need get salty balls.

  • @LaurenLeighMordecai are you fucking stupid? Watch any nature show about adult animals and their offspring...dogs, cats, lions, leopards, wolves, coyotes, etc ALL carry their young by the scruff of their neck.

  • @Starbuckfsd u loled when i saw these comments, you just taking everyone slow-minded out rofl!

  • @Starbuckfsd You what?

I know they carry them by their scruff..

FFS what is wrong with you people.

Someone said it was mean and hurting the ferret.

I said its not hurting the ferret because its parents carry them like that,

So why would the parents carry them like that if it would hurt them.. Jesus bloody christ!!

  • @LaurenLeighMordecai hahahahahahaha oh dear i weep for the sanity of our world

  • @aarontwclunie Lol i swear everyone on here are so thick! How can what i said be misunderstood? :L

  • I swear some of you have never had pets. Grabbing by the scruff of the neck does not hurt them.

  • @brmadman4455

I agree, and this concept is best seen in ferrets. Notice the yawn, grabbing them by the scruff of the neck actually relaxes them. Most ferret owners would do this when trying to clip their nails.

  • @brmadman4455 yeah people are fucking idiots these days, every animal video you see 3/5 of the reactions are concerned morons who have no clue what they are talking about

  • that doesnt hurt them thats how there parents carry them around the only thime it will hurt is if you squeeze too hard.

  • lol, can't spell and you know nothing about ferrets.

  • @barnsleyratter no it doesn't you stupid fuck face....learn to spell if you're gonna TRY and blast someone with the no knowledge you have...

  • @Ferretofthehouse and you're so stupid....this is not mean....this is how their mother carries them around...in fact almost ALL animals get carried/dragged around by the scruff of their neck when they are young. Watch any nature show or ask a fucking vet....

  • @Starbuckfsd same with most mothers....thts the turth

  • rofl! soooooooo ooo funny!

  • lmao when you scruf em by the neck they get tired thats why he yawnd
