i said goodbye to my uncle to this song made me really depressed and i still get depressed from hearing it coz of my uncle such a beautiful song god bless you both thank you for singing this song
The song is sad from the point of view of the friend. He (or she) is hurting. What the song is singing for is happy, but that is not what I was trying to say.
I never criticized their sound saying that they didn't sound like Casting Crowns. But, since you pointed it out, Casting Crowns is older and more mature so of course they sound better.
You should thouroughly check through my comment before you try to come back with material completely oblivious to what I originally said.
Posture on your part wasn't very good. Your head was tilted slightly to the right for the whole song. When you weren't singing your head would tilt a little farther to the right until you looked out the corner of your eye to look (and half-smile) at the camera.
Also, you need to smile a little more (besides when you eye the camera). Look like you are enjoying being up on stage. I know the song isn't the happiest of songs, but still.
However, you both need to work on your phrasing. At some points in the song you would start sounding country. At other parts in the song you would be trying to sing with a clean, pure voice. Maintain consistency with your word phrasing when singing.
Also, you would look at the camera and let off a half-smile throughout both times you sang the song. It got annoying after a while.
Both singers are flat for pretty much the whole song. Your word phrasing was always making you go flat. You need to lighten up and be a little more forward with your singing.
I give you props for singing in front of the church like that though.
Congratulations on that part.
This is definately worth watching (3 stars) material.
Keep singing and never settle for anything less than perfection. Practice doesn't make perfect; Perfect practice makes perfect.
Hey, this is Daniel. You checked out my video, so I thought I'd check out yours :] You did an amazing job as well as your friend! That really touched me, thank you.
Thank you Josh & Steph. Wonderful ministry through the song! I mean it! WONDERFUL! It makes me long for times there with the youth choir. LUV U ALL Joe and Angie
