after reading 25 pages of survivors accounts in this book its hard to fathom how anyone would attend such a church. its public deception for the case of a few bad apples in the barrel rings very hollow indeed .catholicabusesurvivorsni

Thank you, Karen, for giving a succinct voice to the most voiceless of Irish survivors of institutional child abuse, via the medium of your new book "Haunting Cries". As with Senator David Norris, I too, found it to be an extremely readable & unputdownable book. The raw piercing haunting cries of those who were doubtless, wrongfully incarcerated in Ireland's industrial schools in the past, rang home loud & clear in every sad chapter. The "Haunting Cries" are no longer crying in the wilderness.
