My questions is how does the GMC Sierra 4x4 Z71 stack up to the H2 because I'm considering purchasing one as my H2 approaches 300K mi...still runs superb.

@marklewin8 well dude its like this it sounds like your hummer is ready to retire so do it and as far as the Z71 sierra do it the H2 is a taheo it really is thats why the good miles out of it and as far as off roading the truck will do better lighter vehicle plus the same power if you stick with the 6.0 that you already have in side features will be close but you'll gain ground clearence and more towing just cause its a boxed frame not a C cup frame and better gas mileage then the H2.

I wasn't speaking about your type of truck, but more as a generality. Because in general it's the tires that cause the decrease in mpg, not the lift. Not everyone puts heavy drop bracket lifts on their truck so they can go slide around in some muddy puddles on what was more than likely JEA property.

You didn't even build your truck. You shouldn't act all high and mighty just because you bought a truck with a lift already on it.

@muska656 I have a 02 z71 with a 8 inch lift and 38s i re geared to 4:56s and it took me almost to stock ratio it came factory 3:73 and with the 4:56s it took me to 3:79 so i got all my power back and it will turn those 38s over easily there is a equation to figure all this out lol

The z71 can come with any moter. The 6.2 the 5.3 or even some cases the ls1 my friend bought a ls1 z71 it is a beast! But i am sure urs is a 6.2 or 5.3 I have a z71 but alot older than that i have a 98 gmc z71 and it has a 350 = 5.7. But this is a badass truck i cant tell what it is cuz cant hear the moter.
