@Far771100 No, it's not a refueling probe. It's a temporary pitot tube for on-board test and measuring equipment. It's standard operating procedure to have one on test aircraft, but they aren't typically used on production variants. The refueling probes to which you're referring are for the "probe and drogue" system used by U.S. Army and Navy aircraft, whereas the USAF uses a flying boom system. Civilian aircraft do not refuel in mid air.

I think I saw one of these yesterday flying into Chicago Executive Airport yesterday. I'm no expert, but I was just like " thats freakin massive". The wingspan and wing surface area is incredible.

The first flight of any new aeroplane is carried out with the utmost caution as no-one really knows what the handling and performance characteristics of an aeroplane are until they test it. Hence, the landing gear are kept down in the off chance that there is a failure and they wont extend for the landing. No-one wants to gear-up a brand new plane!

The aircraft will sell between $55 million and $60 million, completion will probably cost around $2 million if you go on the cheap for the interior, and then scheduled maintenance will costs millions per year depending on how many flight hours and landings you plan to put on the airplane. There a too many more costs to list here.
