@ChadTuIik hi. he mentioned in this video that he substituted a vietnamese rice paper because the usual lumpia wrapper used for this recipe (i believe it's made of cornstarch) was not available. but the pork mixture is definitely that of a lumpiang shanghai. :)

TY for your video clips &recipes! :-) Btw, rice decor for Pahiyas is "kiping," made of thin galapong w/c is "painted" on big leaves, steamed over H2O in kawa, unmolded & allowed to dry & harden.
Helpful tip for busycooks who want lumpia in small batches - precook big batch of filling (filling only) in non-stick pan w/o oil. Store in ref/freezer. Later on, just take/thaw the pre-cooked filling that you need, assemble in wrappers & fry until wrappers are golden brown.

kuya kahit hinde nyo na i lock yung end ng wrapper hinde po lalabas yung meat nya try nyo po natutunan ko po yan sa vietnam nung nag cooking tour kami sa asia sila pala yung magaling sa springroll isa sa mga yan ang na dikobre ko...try nyo lang po

my friend's mom makes this every now and then and each time she does i have her message me on facebook so i can invite myself over. it's SOOOOOO GOOOD!!!! she usually makes me a ziplock bag to take home , ( about 25) and they're gone in about 2 days.

ang recipe at ingredients ay ok lahat as what you have demonstrated pero nag tataka ako pumuputok yong lumpia sa kalagitnaan na ng pagpiprito, bakit ganon? thanks in advance for your response.

There is another lumpia that my mom makes but I don't know what the filipino word is. It's basically similar lumpia except it has bean sprouts, carrots and you dip it in vinegar sauce with pepper and garlic... What is the name of this?
