  • there is a new variety of lumpia shanghai, the ground pork is stuffed in sili with cheese (the one use for sinigang) then wrapped in lumpia wrapper and deep fried!!! Yummy

  • @jerickparingit u can put your lumpia in the freezer if u want to preserve but i don't think it will last for 1 month. 1-2 weeks maybe

  • sorry but i think mas mganda p gmitin yung regular lumpia wrapper lalo n kung bgong gawa yung wrapper, prang mdling msunog yung wrapper n gnmit nya at prang pangit at sunog dpat pre heated n yung pan at medium heat lng pra di sunog.

  • @nemoryer I do it all the time. Makes life easier. I love lumpia, but sometimes when I have a craving I don't feel like making it. and make a large batch wrap them already rolled in saran wrap and freeze them in a ziploc and use as needed.

  • @ChadTuIik hi. he mentioned in this video that he substituted a vietnamese rice paper because the usual lumpia wrapper used for this recipe (i believe it's made of cornstarch) was not available. but the pork mixture is definitely that of a lumpiang shanghai. :)

  • TY for your video clips &recipes! :-)  Btw, rice decor for Pahiyas is "kiping," made of thin galapong w/c is "painted" on big leaves, steamed over H2O in kawa, unmolded & allowed to dry & harden.

    Helpful tip for busycooks who want lumpia in small batches - precook big batch of filling (filling only) in non-stick pan w/o oil. Store in ref/freezer. Later on, just take/thaw the pre-cooked filling that you need, assemble in wrappers & fry until wrappers are golden brown.

  • Is it better to use the vietnamese spring roll wrapper than the regular lumpia wrapper that we know? Why sometimes when I cook lumpia, parang di masyado luto yung meat sa loob? :(
