34 dislikes? People are actually that sad they get on the internet, click on this video, watch the moon and dislike it? How can you dislike something that has a lot of affect on us like the tides for instant. You should be kissing the moons fucking ass!
I have a feeling that the moon's motion would also have to be taken into account for the kind of time exposures to achieve the kind of detail in question.
Yea...cuz it is "Winter" and not humid and hot as Hades......UV radiation absorbing materials behind a lense??? Also the proximity to the moon for varied intensity. Just my thoughts....
Just a couple of ideas here. The Moon could be instrumental in fusion power generation as it has much more helium3, (H3) than is found on earth. H3 is blocked by our Van Allen radiation belts the Moon does produce magnetic belts due to it's solid core. So the Moon collects H3 that is generated by the sun. H3 slows the break down of containment walls in fusion generators. Solar collectors placed on the moon could beam power to earth in the form of microwaves as well.
I would be concerned of trying to send energy through the ozone, I wouldn't want to damage it. It is what protects us from the UV in the first place. How could we harness the UV that actually makes it to the surface.
Did you know it is possible that coronal discharge and microwaves could be used to boost ozone production? That would not necessarily be good though. Not only does ozone keep UV out, it also keeps IR in. As I recall from astronomy it is one of the original green house gases among other gases like water vapor, carbon dioxide, methane and nitrous oxide.
If there was a simple device to absorb the UV from the surface, it would be worth developing in South America near the South Pole, as the hole in the ozone changes throughout the year.
If the problem was a simple one we would have solved it by now. Some scientists have suggested that the polar ozone holes are natural and help to regulate against global warming. Irregardless humanities activities need to be curtailed as they are a factor in the growth of the hole. That said The near disappearance of the hole in 88 and it's return in 89 suggests there is more to it that just human activity. w w w. soest. hawaii. edu /GG /ASK /ozonehole .html
Never said that the moon did have a magnetic field. As I learned in astronomy, the moon would have to have a liquid core to have a magnetic field, it is too small and too cold to have one. I think you did not bother to read enough of the posts to realize the topic of the conversation had switched from lunar power generation to global warming here on Earth.
I'd just like to see it close up without having to rely on NASA or other official government programs, not that I think they'd hide anything but I'd rather see things from an independant point of view. I suppose with everything, not just the moon.
Absolutely Fabulous! Enjoy it while it lasts. As they continue with the chemtrails, being able to even see the moon is becoming next to impossible. Thank you so much for sharing this!
Very nice moon video Dan I too take pics and video of the moon and its hard at times to get a good shot as WE are moving all the time. The couple of videos I got are of close ups of the crators on the moon including some of the mountains. very cool! One of the best videos you have done yet. Keep up the great work!
The camera has an automatic aperture over ride set to center. So when the moon moves out of the sensor range it tries to compensate by opening to the lower f/ stop. You can set it to manual but I thought it gave a cool effect.

@RyanOn31 Sadly, there are many people who love to belittle other's videos, and you are right-the moon is an amazing thing.

Nice shot! I've been looking at that Casio for it's high speed capabilities... I'd like to see the price come down a bit, then I'll pounce! :-)

"the Moon does produce magnetic belts due to it's solid core"
what do you mean by magnetic belts then

how could we harnest energy from it would be my only question. great video and it was a beautiful moon to record.

Check the video response I added from last summer. Ugh, it reminds me of what it is like here in July. This is the best time of the year here.
