It's actually NOT a stereotype. I've witnessed first hand the horrors of poverty!! It certainly again is NOT a stereotype. I hope you know that MOST of Africa has devastating problems such as poverty. Sub-Saharan Africa is where the main problem of poverty is. You're either rich or in poverty. There's really no inbetween when it comes to Sub-Saharan Africa. It's very rich in culture, they have amazing culture, land, and are such amazing people. but poverty is a BIG PROBLEM in SUB-SAHARAN AFRICA!

Fantastic Video. How we all need reminding of this issue. When hundreds of billions of dollars are spent every year on defence which could be used to help cure this problem.

I would/am. This summer I will be traveling to Kenya to help bathe and feed homeless children, visit orphanages, schools, refugee camps. There's no difference, if your face to face with them or not though. Theres ways to give them food, and clothes through organizations such as world vision, unicef, un, world food program. many ways.

Take that first step! Help! Buy some cans of food and give it to a shelter. Take it one step further -- Google for charities that help raise orphans and kids in Nepal, Sudan, Vietnam, India, etc - send them your $ so kids get food, education; 1 step further - ask your friends to do the same! Even better, get elected and do great good.
