  • Thanks for a wonderful rendition of a beautiful song - brought tears to my eyes, reminded me of my first love. Vids like yours bring so much happiness - pass the tissues ;0) Love BB x P.S He didn't find another love, my parents didn't like him, and I still love him!

  • this song is before my time, but I like it, I allways enjoy listening

  • Thanks for a great post! Also, I liked your video work, especially how you tied in the picture of Johnnies memorial plaque and slowly daded out and back to the album cover, wonderful!!!

  • I am discovering Johnny Ray all over again, Thanks for the posting. PS I am 77, still sing cry and few others at College reunions....

  • A BIG hit here in Australia back then but not as popular in USA or Britain.

  • It's strikes me as funny, that today they call all the music, the movies and t.v show's as REALITY STUFF"!!! Heck,,, this music, along with all of Johnnies songs couldn't be MORE REALISTIC TO REAL LIFE!!! How absurd to call todays absolute puke REALITY, and this music, "Pollyanna music"! Well,,,,, give me Pollyanna any time you want,,, send it to me baby!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Good shit.

  • Any thing that Johnnie sang was great. His special voice and showmanship is still unsurpassed.

  • I was expecting this to be a slow song. Heard a sample from Portishead's "Biscuit".

  • have you heard the BILLY FURY version

  • portishead - biscuit

  • OS ANOS 60 ESTA MÚSICA TOCAVA TODOS OS DIAS , TODAS AS HORAS EM TODAS AS RÁDIOS EM TODO O PAÍS, QUANDO OS PROGRAMADORES MUSICAIS USAVAM O BOM GOSTO SEMPRE COMO REFERENCIA PRINCIPAL. HOJE EM DIA SÓ SE PROGRAMA O QUE É PAGO, E É POR ISSO QUE SÓ TEM PORCARIA SENDO IMPOSTA AOS NOSSOS OUVIDOS. TUDO É UM VERDADEIRO LIXO. VAMOS DIZER UM NÃO BEM SONORO A ESTAS PROGRAMAÇÕES...

  • Rock And Chips Put Johnny Ray On

  • I wouldn't know what this is but for Portishead. Thanks! :)

  • The Old Stadium Sydney.....Sydney Airport....South Sydney Juniors they were the days iI I'm reincarnated bring me back then...

  • Johnnie Ray remains peerless on his performances.

  • So romantic! We're planning a Tribute to Paul Anka tour. Watch the promo on my channel and feel free to comment.

  • This is in 2/2 time and is a military two step for dancing purposes but anything can be done to it as it is such a slow time. Except a waltz of course.

  • Portishead, man they made this song dark as fuck

  • sampled by Portishead - Biscuit :)

  • My favourite of all Johnnie's hits, and I believe... the last one !

Makes todays X factor finalists sound ordinary.

  • I will master this song to sin it in a Karaoke, Reason? Just listen this wonderful tone and range of voice!!! We all love you Johnny!!!!!

  • I was only 12 but loved this song I understand now why I liked billy fury so much the seem to be the same

  • I love this song, i remember buying it on vinyl as a youngster only to find the record was damaged and wouldn`t play. I returned it to the shop and i couldn`t get a replacement :( Ha, some years later i found the record in a junk shop, it was immaculate and it still works perfectly today, great song :)

    Thanks for posting.

  • One of the greatest singers of the early days...great memories...easy listening...they were the better years, oh yeah!!!!!!

  • This is what I call music...easy listening...brings back memories of the old days...bring it on forever

  • Born January 10, 1927 in Hopewell, Oregon, U.S.A.

Johnnie Ray died of liver failure on 24 February 1990 in Los Angeles.

    (RIP).......Mike....

  • A beautiful song and amazing voice. In the 50 years have been very good songs. I like these songs. Thanks

  • Put Jonny ray on, aha ROCK AND CHIPS

  • very nice song

  • Thanks. I love this song.

  • Poor old Johnnie Ray...

  • a tango beat would match this song tho im not particularly a tango fan

    great JR

  • Sampled by Portishead for the song "Biscuit" :)

  • If you listen to the words to Bacharach's "I'll Never Fall In Love Again" you'll see that it is completely different. There are about 3 songs with this title. The one that JR sings here - he wrote. Also if you know his songs you'll notice he quite often mentions the angels.

  • This is Johnnie's song - he wrote it.

  • WRONG!!!!! it was composed by burt bacharach and hal david

  • come on man billy fury is another completelly different thing, this song was made for johnnys voice , with his unique sound, notice about this song the voice lead the music in billys ones is outside down

  • youtube has deleted 5 extraordinary videos of johnie ray live in a tv show in holland , i was shoked to see how wonderful this guy sang, i never thought i was going to see him in the peak of his caree in video with such godd tune , it is a pity they dont have them now .

  • Davidwalsh66,Are you thinking of "Id never find another you" by Billy Fury, they are similar.

  • I think Johnnie is death. But one thing I want to said , I will copy his voice , I will sing this song in a Karaoke here in Fargo ND. This singer is one of the GREATEST SINGER ever! With tender love to Johnnie, Juan Salinas

  • this was a great record. billy fury did a version of it which i would love to hear again. can anyone help.

  • I HAVE BILLYS VERSION

  • biscuit

  • eu acho que eu já escutava esta canção dentro da barriga da minha mãe, pois me provoca lembranças inexplicáveis e mágicas...it's wonderful !!

  • excelent tune thanks !!!

  • portishead sampled this in their song! i know most people already know this and i am stating the obvious, but i have been looking for so long! haha

  • ya, it's trippy hearing this after listening to Portishead.

  • I did NOT know that. Thanks koblegard.

  • Tão lindo!

  • mirrejve, thanks for the reply. Tried to post on your site, don't know if it has been accepted.

  • great tune nice song

  • sensacional musica de primeira qualidade...

  • Hi Ben just for you tonight!!!!!!!! Chris and Jude.

Hope you had a lovely night!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Glad you found the song Alan!

  • Richard Maltby and his orchestra paly on this record with Johnnie. They recorded about 6 sides with Johnnie. Ray Coniff dis his last recordings with Johnnie in 1958 after many sides and loads of hits.

  • Thanks, Dave. I will look something more about Richard Maltby. Do you know about him?

  • It has been always my preferred song. Can somebody confirm that the orchestra is Ray Connif's?

  • Ray Conniff did make 2 versions of songs with the same title, but I don't think

it's about this song. Thanks for your comment!

  • don't think so it was Frank de Vol !

  • orchestra was by frank de vol

  • The accompaniment is by the Richard Maltby orchestra surprisingly and the recording was produced by his old pal Mitch Miller. Recorded 1959 and his last UK hit and was a re-recording of the version made in 1952 with Jimmy Carroll and the Four Lads. Ray composed it.

  • Sensacional! Voltei aos anos dourados. Apaixonado. Apaixonado como eram todos os jovens que tiveram o privilégio de viver aquela época. Saudade.

  • portishead has sampled this song for "biscuit"

  • é uma viagem ao passado....é um filme que eu não queria parar de assistir..é uma beleza!!!eu queria ser inmortal !!

  • no one , not even the great billy fury could do this song as good as johnny ray !!!!

  • I'm 18, and the first time I listened this song, I was 6... and I love inmediatly!! :D Thank you so much for upload it!! (Sorry, I'm from Chile, so I can't write english on a properly way)

  • So young and such a good taste in music.

There's still hope in this world. And your English is very good. We understand each other and that's enough!

  • bom gosto Sussi !! essas músicas sim que são verdadeiras obras de arte...I love revival!l..o mundo não é o de hoje !!eu gosto demais!!

  • Nice to hear this song again. Memories of good times. Thanks for.....10*****

  • Remember also that he was deaf, and he sing s better than most who can hear

  • I'm under half your age, and I love this song!

  • one of my favourites back in the 60s

  • Born January 10, 1927 in Hopewell, Oregon, U.S.A.

Johnnie Ray died of liver failure on 24 February 1990 (Los Angeles).

  • Spesso si confondono gli anni sessanta con i 50:tutta un'altra cosa! Johnny Ray is one of the best singers of the 50 years. La sua voce è a dir poco starordinaria : a fabulous voice. I remember Cry, or " Just walking in the rain " ma ho scoperto anche questa deliziosa "I'llnever fall in love..." Today I have heared this song.. sweet, but with a very good rithm; so,I think that we should "must" know Johnny Ray.

    Michael

  • I used to listen to this in the mid sixies - one of the great clasic songs - OMG so many memonies

  • how can i download the music

  • Astonishing. I've never heard this before; I just know the Portishead track.

  • una delle più belle canzoni degli anni '60.
