  • Kool! Miss my t/a

  • Sweeeeeeeeeeet !!

  • Hell may as well uncork the headers and drive it..with all the damn noisey Harleys running around you ought to be able to get away with it also :)

  • haha! I have to do the same thing with my sun visors after I go WOT in my 79 firebird

  • fast car bro

  • what its all about build um and run um not hide them in a garage

  • hey nice ride! poncho power forever...........1965 lemans 455 on the way!

  • how much this car burns a gasoline per 100km?

  • @DonBisu I don't know, maybe 8 miles to the gallon

  • the sun visors in my TA do that too when you punch it :P

  • that is wicked dude

  • 0 people dislike the torque of a 535 in a T/A.

  • That's what it is all about!

  • what year is this?

  • @oilerman31 1981

  • Sorry okumahowa. Best things in life would be 2 bad ass Pontiacs. I LOVE THIS CAR!

  • Looks like it nearly bumped 8000 rpm!

  • @Gaspipenicklioni No !! I don't take it that high, it was nearly 7,000 rpm though.

  • That is one mean T/A,gotta love that IAII motor.

  • @MidnightinSavannah Thanks alot !! Yes, the IAll is awesome !!

  • @MidnightinSavannah hell yeah you dont need no supercharger or turbo just get a big block high compression pistons and a good stron camshaft 4:10 gears or 4:56 ratio and you got a killer 10 or 11 second car torque is where its at not hp torqe win races

  • @geiner66 You don't alot of gear with a Pontiac,this car runs high 9's/Low 10's with a 3.50 gear.

  • Make sure you burn the film before the cop utters the words, "license and registration please". :-)

  • Pontiac power haha, is this the Butler Performance 535? Im planning to build an ultimate street rod 79' T/A, havent quite decided on a motor, my choices are between somethin like this with a 535 or so, a 455, or maybe one of those newer LSX454s for the power and mileage combo. What tranny would you recommend for something like this? Im pretty torn between a Tremec TKO or a TCI Streetfighter, id like the fun of a manual but with nearly 700hp id think that alone would be fun enough with an auto

  • @Ratmouth66 Yes this is a Butler 535, I think you would be happy with any of the builds you mentioned. The LSX engines are very good blocks as well. I am still old school and like the Pontiac design engines and playing around with carburetors. If you have any kind of horsepower I would recommend the Turbo 400, like you said with all the things you can do with automatics it would be just a fun. Good luck with your project and let me know what you decide and when you finish !

  • @dk81535TA haha, niiice, yeah im pretty sure im going to go with something old school cause like you i preffer that as well, either a 535 like you have or get Butler to build me a nice 455, what 400 did you go with? TCI?

  • @Ratmouth66 Sounds like a good plan ! I had a few turbo 400's and had one rebuilt from a local guy who is good with transmissions. It has a Turbo Action manual valve body that is forward pattern.

  • I nearly jizzed my pants at 0:20-0:27

  • do me a favor put your foot down in that beautifull ta for me

  • my dad took an old 50 ford fire truck tanker-the tank converted to a flat bed car hauler for his 68 custom camaro well he put a custom 400 pontiac eng and a custom 400 trans he built all of it and for shits and gigles he took the truck on a run down the quarter and ran a 18.51 sec not bad for an 8900 lb truck after i herd that ive been in love with pontiac ever since

  • @chevellenut1968 Cool story, thanks for sharing !! Pontiac's are awesome !

  • nice troottle response very nice i think i build one 2 to my 74 gto

  • What does Butler charge for one of those bad boys?

  • Whatsw the gay ass cord wrapping around the steering column??

  • @surf403 - What's with the stupid questions?

  • @morecowbell69 Not trying to be a prick man, but its not safe for one thing, and another, it takes away from all the hard work done on this awesome car. Thats what I was meaning.

  • @surf403

Hahaha, are you serious? You never seen a line lock on the column before?

Just about every drag car in existence has one

  • Yes

  • @dk81535TA

Nice ride amigo. It's got that same PISSED OFF SNARL as my 69 Bird with an IA II 535 and Butler WP's further massaged by SD.

  • man, look up m3 vs trans am>>>> need to SHUT HIM UP !!!! show him what a real trans am will do to that pos!!

  • @ktmbanshee Just as long as you can drive because that other dude couldn't.

  • beast

  • Awesome T/A - Pontiac Power .

  • my visors do that in my 71 Camaro

  • same but only the left

  • nice!!! better put some duct tape on to hold them sun visors;) haha

  • how much torque does it have?

  • A lot.

  • 740 Foot Pounds

  • very nice indeed!!! at what rpm does the 740 come in?

  • 5100 RPM

  • woooow nice

  • what is this engin

  • Aftermarket Pontiac block, Edelbrock Wide Port Heads 535 cubic inches

  • man its sweet

i watched the tach in the vid , it looked like it was around 7500, and could climb to 9!!!

is it broke in, when does it fall flat from the rpm's , do you know yet?

  • I only shift at 6500 to 6800. I have shifted at 7200 but doesn't gain anything at the track.

  • Yes--totally wicked.

  • Bet the LS law loves you!!!

  • push the pedal and hope it goes strait

  • power for days!

  • that is one bad ride car sounds great i have a 461 butler motor in my 78 lots of fun !!!!!!

  • nice run... just when I thought my RA3 combo was kinda tough. ha ha cool vid

  • glad to see its Pontiac powered and not Chevy

  • Nice.

  • Sounds tough !! What motor & mods ?

  • IAll Pontiac 535 cid Edelebrock wide ports from Butler Performance, Victor Intake, Solid Roller

  • Son of a bitch!!! We know Butler can build'em, even monsters with 389 cubes but give'em 535 cubes and Holy Shit this is what happens!!!

I own a 455 (bored to 462) so I know what it's rpm characterisics are. But tell me.....

What rpm do you shift this 535 baby at??

What's she idling at??---by the audio you can't really tell, but it sounds like an extremely mild idle for how RADICAL/CRAZY the performance is. Of course big motors tone down radical cams at idle.

  • I normally shift at 6800 rpm and it idles at around 1150 rpm.

  • That bitch sounds tough. More traction would have been interesting.
