  • she is such a sweet heart.

  • I am glad I saw this because I have already made that decision. I actually starting using Mora's for the more practical knife work. They are absolutely amazing. I have 3 510's that Ray Mears bought up once they discontinued the 510 to make the 511. Same knife just one has a safety feature now. Also these knives are super lightweight. My SOG knives are great and all...but very unnecessary. Same with the Kbar. You aren't a badass on the trail with one. Your dumb for wasting weight. MORA ftw!

  • There's a knife in this video?

  • I believe this to be an intelligent choice.

While having an asortment of many other larger knives is ok as well, recently I find my self

going with mora for a Fixed blade.

Maybe age or Backpacking experience, weight is always something (gear wise) I'm trying to be mindful of.

  • totally agree, just got a mora force and i'm really happy with it, does everything you need a camp knife to do and keeps its edge well, ATB for 2012,

  • I agree.

  • She is not real.

  • these are about $17 USD everywhere on line. Personally I think a small pocket knife if perfectly adequate for backpacking, A similar Mora knife I found on line weighs 3.5 ounces which is not too bad, but Gerber makes a STL Knife that weighs only one ounce! Just think if you could cut all your items in your pack by more than a third how light it would be.

  • The knife from NorthSurvivals country. Hell yea.

  • K-bar simplely the best why buy another

  • @blkwulff K-bar dropped in quality.

  • Her eyes are amazing!!!

  • Oh my God, its Casey Anthony making YouTube videos !!!

  • Video needs a fat dude. She's too distracting.

  • i love whatching and listen to you :)

  • 40$ I got that same knife for 12$

  • @survivealist i live in sweden and you can this i a fucking cafe..! lol

  • I would suggest any knife you plan on having for a survival type knife be a full tang knife because in a survival situation you may need to take that knife and pound it through a large branch etc.

A knife without a full tang can easily break at the worst possible moment.

If you have the luxury of carrying another cutting tool a hatchet would be my first best choice. In fact I would rather carry an Estwing Sportsman hatchet. The hatchet is a forged solid one piece design, lightweight.

  • @usarmycaptainamerica The plastic of the Mora knife (that is the entire handle) is so tough you don't really half to worry about it. Look up swibo6's video about moras for the specifics and stuff regarding it.

  • Hmm.... Funny looking kitchen

  • @Daplaya177 dude you're awesome

  • Keep it up! I love bad-ass women.

  • I too have that same knife, got it for around 15 bucks, they are great!

  • 40 dollars? Honey, you got ROBBED.

  • I have two of them. One stainless for the kitchen and one carbon steel for my pack. Great knives and super easy to sharpen on a crock stick.

  • fraud.

  • I would honestly take a Cold Steel Bushman over this anyday.

  • Good tips. Im not trying to bust on you but I just want to help.If you have a knife as a "Survival Knife" you really cant cheap out but Im not saying the mora is cheap.Saving money goes out the window when its about a lifesaving tool like a survival knife. Something is better then nothing but I would much rather have a true full tang design and a thicker blade. If its cold and you need to chop or baton thin blade can crack easier. Its like I always say.Lets all learn from each other.Joe Tactical

  • @joezbackwith2gatz moras are inexpensive they are not "cheap" try one and youll see. I own many top of the line knives " benchmade , spyderco, cold steel, just to name a few. My moras take and hold an edge as well or better than the ones with"premeum steels". AS for needing to chop or baton a knife, just carry a hatchet or an axe. I have lived in the Rockys my whole life and have never needed to baton anything. Carry all the tools you need and you wont need to abuse your knife.

  • @angryagain68 Im not bashing on the Mora.I understand what your saying about the small axe but not your carrying a lot more weight. I use the ESEE-4 with the ESEE Junglas as my blades. They can do just about anything. I also bring along the sawvivor camp saw. It folds up to 3x15 and weighs 9.5oz.For me that is my perfect system. Diff strokes for diff foulks.

  • I've got a Mora and really love it. Perfect light weight bushcraft knife. I like it as a secondary knife though. I still like to have a stronger (and bigger) blade that I can count on for battoning and defeding myself agains coyotes (in an emergency).

  • 40 bucks? you got jipped

  • I have a knife just like that, usually it is paired with a nice hand saw too.

  • If I had to pick one knife to survive it would not be a mora. I haven't found the right one yet but I do believe in a full tang knife and 1095 steel.,

  • @sundogforlove ESEE knives are true full tang with 1095 and thebest warranty out there.

  • You can get mora knife in Khazakstan? Cool.

  • Cool knife :)

  • Damn shes hot I wish girl were into knives and look like her

  • think these videos are realy cool like, i've used the mora knife for a year now very good blade. needs to be looked after tho as it is not stainless. raymears.com is the place to get one for anyone looking for a good deal.

  • do u swallow?

  • She's a cutie.

  • Man she is cute. .. I am buying a mora..")

  • Mora knives are Razors! Love them . If you venture into the forest .. I would also have something with more chopping power also ... Like a machete ,Small axe , kukri or parang . Fine cutting and game prep.. Moras are my favorite. AND THEY ARE LOW PRICED!

  • I actually love my machete here in the forest lol its a great piece of gear. Nice vid, my mora has served me well over the years

  • check out jungle primitive, now that's a knife

  • pretty awesome skinning knife in my book

  • cute

  • Less is Mora

  • Rambo disliked this video 39 times

  • You talk like a fag and you're shit's all retarded.

  • haha i didnt now that the german word Rucksack is yoused overseas :D greets from germany

  • @xshorty913x In Norway we call it a Ryggsekk..its pronounced just like rucksack...well almost. : D

  • @MIRCWOOD haha okay interesting, well we never stop learning, now im a bit cleverer :DD

  • I think i speak for us all when i say this women is a sexy survivor

  • I really like the KM2000 from my military time. My mate got a Buckmaster(?) which is to heavy n to huge.

  • no no and no. not for survival situation. maybe for bushcraft but Not for survival!

  • @Petegrin1

    Cody Lundin begs to differ.

  • I just ordered the newer bushcraft style, these knives rate really well. They are not meant for cutting down trees bojango...wow, some people have no clue...these knives are meant for the smaller camp/bushcraft type of whittling and carving.

  • i use an 11" khukri machete, straps on to my belt and has a thigh strap so it doesnt move around, i dont think its bulky and i can build anything with it, ur cute little piece of sharpened metal would require that u use a lot of energy to chop down trees for a good and sturdy shelter, mine just takes me a few good swings

  • 25 bucks, I bought mine for 8

  • WTF why arent you in the kitchen?

  • i got mine for 11.00$

  • Cindy Anthony is doing knife reviews now?

  • @a68rebel LOL..ouch...she has lots of lawyer fees to pay back

  • 40 bucks? I can get two cold steel machetes that are light weight and slim enough to strap to the back of pack or hell even just onto your belt

  • Nice, I have that same one, an excellent knife and oh yeah it's sharp, lol.

  • sportsmansguide had them for 8.99 I bought 10 of them.

    scary sharp.

  • I ordered a Mora clipper knife as in the video for 12,50 euro,s in the Netherlands its a carbon blade that was very rude stamped and not extreme sharp!! But i polished it and resharpened it and it cuts like a razor now!! But i agree its only for cutting meat or so because its very thin blade !! But a good knife for the price!

  • Camp knife not a survival knife. It can cut a stick but not the crap in your eyelashes.

  • I really wouldn't hang my life on moras. They lack full tang wich makes them bit too unreliable for me. Though they aren't durable enough for tasks like batoning wood they are great utility knives.

  • I ordered the 911 on bensbackwoods for $11.98

  • I personally dig havin a machete, Moras are nice as a cooking knife but not particularly durable, and I'm talking about the lack of full tang. Liteweight though good cooking knife and backup not suited to true work knife duty. I tote a very old either 22" Mach or a 18" both I got from my grandfather and he acquired them in South America, and living in the Southern US they work for me, of course using them 'properly' is a skill.

Mora is a good tool but as a main blade under abuse it'll fail.

  • @econnofoot I have a couple of Mora knives, for hrd cutting or chopping I prefer an estwing carpenters hatchet. But, to each his own.

  • a machette is no bulky. i would rather have a 19 inch machette than a 5 inch mora blade. Im not discrediting the mora, its a great knife. The ideal survival knife in my opinnion is a blade around 7-10 inches. Please no one take her advice on anything she knows absolutly nothing. "Killing mammals" retarded. You dont select a survival knife to go attack an animal with.

  • For killing mammals? What a ridiculous thing to say. It's a great knife, but really...

  • Mora Clipper 840MG 12 bucks US. Wonderful knife, and ultra ultra sharp.

  • I have one of these Moras in stainless, and it was a fantastic bargain for the money ($15 shipped off Ebay). I didn't like the Scandinavian grind and ground a double-bevel edge into it using a Gerber coarse/fine sharpener. It is so sharp now it will literally shave hairs off my forearm.

Probably not strong enough for full-on survival use, but a great lightweight knife for hikers, kayakers, campers, etc.

  • If you paid $40 for that you got taken for about $25

  • Not true. The Gerber Gator Machete Jr is just the right size for woodland camping. Long blade machetes are for the jungle but mine works just fine for wood prep

  • Well thats a primitive looking kitchen...

    sorry i had to haha!!!!

  • @istonehf22lz

Oh, no, by all means make a judgement on me, however, by the other comments on you're channel, and the inability on you're part to spell the word "deaf" (please note the 4 characters...) I can clearly see you are someone who enjoys making brash comments on others about their opinions, and also simultaneously sporting the spelling and grammar capabilities of a 5 year old; or as I like to term them "dicks".

    Consider yourself slammed buddy ;)

  • I like her videos but her nose keeps getting in the way, so frustrating.

  • so cute. what was the video about?

  • I like how she calls them "MAMALS" instead of animals.

  • That sheath seems way to large for the knife... I'll keep my Ka-Bar.

  • dsont ever spend alot of money on a knife period.... you need a cheap 5-10 buck river knife ie.... you dont mind having to throw that fucker in the river if you have to lol

  • @monkadelic13 Except for the Mora, and VERY FEW OTHERS, you get what you pay for. I don't know what bushcraft or survival training teaches people to throw their knives in the river but you should go back there and throw yourself in. Apparently your knowledge of knives and probably of Bushcraft and its tools does not amount to the amount of information on a penny. Please attempt to restrain yourself from commenting in the future so others don't have to bother skipping your thought.

  • SOG knives are much better, but cost a tad more.

  • Jagged edge knives? You mean serrated? Stick to sucking cock beotch. Go hump one of those there trees and make animal noises at me!!

  • @SOLDERBOY69 lol

  • she is pretty...but a little more survivs please!!!!!!!

  • i have been a survival expert for over 20 years now including, military, and civilian and i am surprised how many of these videos are out there now. i guess everyone is an survival gurus .. now days....

  • Some of you guys seem to slightly miss the point, I think. She doesn't say chase down, she says "killing mammals". Maybe like when a trap doesn't kill the animal, just wounds it, and you have the sever the spinal column to be humane. Or if you set a snare for a rabbit (small loop) and it catches something by the leg and in a "survival situation" you just need the protein, so you have to kill it. My question is if you don't think that "survival situation" is a good term for it, what is?

  • ESEE ... get some.

  • @djSpineg

ESEE CAN I GET A HELL YEAH.... rat 5/ aka rc 5 sere

  • @miller4546 niceee. RC 6 here, best knife i have ever used!

  • @miller4546 Hell Yeah!!! Apparently you are someone who is very knowledgeable about truly outstanding Cutlery!!! =) Have the ESEE 5&6, and the Junglas from ESEE, but own almost 100 knives...Unfortunately I have really only put about 30 of them to the test, mostly while in the Army.

  • @KorumEmrys Thank You, I served 10 years in the marines and lat moved to the army for 5 years and completed several military survival training courses. NOW, I 'm a wilderness environment survival instructor.

  • awesome and very cute. i make hundreds of adventure films and survival vids on mt hood oregon. check out my vids peace

  • @BRIKbushcraft It is basically saying she sounds like a total idiot.

  • Jagged Edge, Killing mammals?

Couldn't be anything but an American could it.

Sadest thing I have seen for months

  • @levelingup I'm not quite sure what your comment means exactly, but it is definitely ridiculous to think you can chase down a mammal and kill it with a Mora. She's Canadian btw

  • 40.00 dollars? Man, you paid WAY too much for that knife. 15.00 dollars is about average for that model.

  • @stephensgate1

     i get those for 10 .00 max a piece

  • I won't lie, people who say "survival situation" A. Sound like total idiots, and B. Have quite clearly never been in a "survival situation". Dear oh dear!

  • Comment removed

  • @levelingup Les stroud uses that term. Someone using that term does not make them idiot

  • The part she does not mention is they do not work well with fire starter kit.

  • Ka-bar bk2.

    'nuff said.

  • If you put the knife in your pocket can I put you in my rucksack?

  • I have MANY Mora knives that were made in Sweden.

They are good steel, simple, practical blade designs which work well !

I have a very similar Mora knife in my kit, along with my British J. Adams jungle knife and another small British issue pocket knife(can't remember the name, but it has a pointy spike on it for piercing holes in cans of baked beans...hehe )

Thanks for the review and thanks for showing the world Mora knives. They are simple, cheap and so easy to use. Well done :o)

  • Moras are great bushcrafting knives, but calling them "survival knives" are a liberal use of the term.

This is my opinion, but I believe a survival knife should be long and heavy enough to be used as an axe to cut down smaller trees and strong and thick enough to be able to split a decent size piece of wood by battoning. If you can't make firewood to make a fire, "surviving" in a forrest or jungle will be pretty hard.

  • 40 dollars for that piece of plastic???

please try out a marttiini knife thay just superb

  • Good advise as usual.

  • I'd let her handle my knife

  • Good lord, most of you guys are total jackasses.

If the person in a video were a man, the comments would, strangely, be more on point, but also equally hostile.

  • With a Mora, you can easily dress game, gut fish, process kindling/tinder, use it for batoning, carve components for traps, make a fire drill, collect material for cordage, whittle weapons and other tools and use it for various chores around the camp. If I had money to burn and didn't mind losing, chipping or breaking a $500 knife, then I might opt for a custom blade. Until then ... :)

  • Personally, I would take a small hatchet and a sturdy pocket knife or folder with a good saw blade for general bushcraft any day over all those over-priced "survival knives" on the market. For general utility and convenience though, Moras fit the bill just fine: well made, lightweight, inexpensive, holds an edge and is completely expendable - exactly what a survival knife should be.

  • an i make neighbor steaks?

  • lol, i can tell you a million resons why not have a mora knife as a survival knife.

  • @Petegrin1

Why don't you tell us a few then?

  • @TheWoodsranger okay

First: when betong with it and i gets stock it will come out of the handle or the steel will brake

2: plastic or wooden handle wich really hurts ur hands afetr a while

3: short blade, but that dosent always have to be i problem

a real surviving knife usually have rubber handle wich is really gryppy and counftybul(cant spell) wich prevents to hard chocks to ur hands. plus its better steel and usually longer blade (depends). but a rambo knife is not a surving knife either

  • @Petegrin1

Okay, first that has never happened to me and i've used mora's for years. 2. I have a mora 711 G, with a rubber handle, and its my favourite, so i agree, a rubber handle rules when batoning. 3. Short blade isn't the problem, the long blades are incontrolable, it's better to carry an axe knife combo, unless in the rainforest where a parang is neccesary.

One last thing, i would ALWAYS prefer the basic bushcraft knife over any survival knife like bear grylls knif

  • @TheWoodsranger ok i under stand ur point but the knife this girl has, it sone of those cheaps moras that is not a surviving knife. and a bear grylls knife tottally sucks. its only there cuz it sells good cuz it got the name ¨bear grylls¨ on it. i got a cold steel srk

  • This women knows nothing of bushcraft. Check out how she holds the mora while she makes a "firestick". Could her grip be any weaker?

  • @UTUBELO come on its just a demonstration

  • Mora is a swedish knife brand and that knife being displayed is what all handymen, carpenters, plummers, and constructionworkers use in sweden, the red dot indicates that its carbonsteel, it also comes in stainless and that is indicated by a blue dot.

  • I LOVE HER!!!

    FUCK ALL YOU OPPOSING ASSHOLES!!!!!

  • Those edges on the back of the knife, are for scaling fish. P.S. You can purchase knifes for as little as a dollar a piece on E-bay. I purchased 10 of them for 9.99. They are not bad Stainless steel 3/32 thick and about 9" long, if lost no big deal. I have 4-5 different types of knifes in each bug out bag. I use a thick baronet blade on the stiking flint, with the cotton balls and vasaline I got it down to 1-2 stikes. A multi tool comes in handy with the cactus out here.

  • would a buck 110 be a good "bushcraft" knife

  • @JayByrd319 No not really their great for small jobs but have 3 problems

1 the lock can fail leading to injury this is a problem with all locking blades

2 if your hands are wet or frozen with no guard or heel they can slip leading to injury or loss.

3 they are no as strong as a full tang knife so you have to be carfull how much stress you put on the blade.

the knife showen here is a decent enough one if your on a budget but I dislike plastic sheaves after bad experiences with them failing.

  • @bogart99

oh ok thanks alot but i cant find these knives anywhere but online and i dont want one online so can u give me some different knives that u can buy at scheels, walmart, dicks sporting goods.

but i also have a ka-bar usmc fighting knife and a buck 119 r those good

  • @JayByrd319 go to Amazon and Type mora knife. I'm not a American so the stores you mention are not native to me sorry. I have tried a Ka-bar knife I found it to big and impractical for the type of jobs you do with knife, You don't need a knife above 4 inch's in length for anything. I have no experience of the buck 119 knife you mention so can't really comment much on it on it.

  • @bogart99

oh sorry about that ok ill try to get one online thanks alot though

  • @bogart99 check out the kershaw antelope hunter or bear hunter knives.

  • @Whisper6911 They look pretty decent but I'm not keen on finger guards and that back of the blade ridge thing is also a put off, those are both personal choices. I like the sheave of the bear hunter you wouldn't loose that knife any time soon. This is just my opinion baised on reviews I have seen I can't really say much of them as I have not used them as tools.

  • @bogart99 mmm then check out the cold steel pendleton hunter.

they have several verieties, incl. a high end expensive one, and a simple cheap one, and some in between.

  • @Whisper6911 The first knife I ever bought was a Cold Steel Knife It was a bad knife and has put me off the make. It had a plastic sheave that spilt on its on and the steel was of poor qualtiy so it would not hold a edge for long. I have no idea if things have improved since then but I still would not buy a Cold Steel knife.

  • @bogart99 mmm well im fairly new to the brand (1,5 years or so) but i have nothing but praise for them.

i own 2 folders and a roachbelly and i am very happy with each of them.

i never heard anyone criticise the products, except for the machetes.

anyways the roach belly, a $15 knife is great for the money.

simple friction sheath, not my fav, but good for what it is.

tbh CS is my fav. brand atm.

but all my experiences are with the newer models.

  • @Whisper6911 check out Buck knives, they make a bunch of economical hunting knives.

u might like one of those.

  • tits or GTFO!

  • i would like to be lost in the woods with you

  • Nice Little Knife, and w/ all the comment below STFU! Take it to you're profile not here idiots... and gtfo

  • hmmm.....better than no knife i guess

  • I think so that these knife is not sturdy and strong. The blade is so thin, looks like a cheap kitchen knife, and the stainless steel is very bright (as the Chinese bad quality knives).

For $25, you can get a better survival knife in Amazon.

  • @aldegin I disagree, I have the same knive and it is real sturdy. The hardness of the blade is around 60-62Rockwell and it stays razor sharp for ages. The bad quality chinese knives you mention are made of a cheap stainless steel while the mora is made of a high carbon non-stainless steel. Also, the blade isn't thin, it's about 2.5mm thick, that's plenty for a small knive. btw: They are a lot cheaper here in Europe, I got mine for about 13$ plus shipping.

  • buy them in the hardware store in sweden or norway for about $6us

they make a stainless blade and a high carbon blade, I have about 4 of each around the house. it is my go to knife

  • great kitchen knife! .....wait thats not the kitchen

  • I'll Give YOU Something MORA And It's In My Pants LMAO

  • @tylerdurden1971 fucking dick i bet this lady would gut you bitch dont disrespect her you fucking peace of shit DOOM ON YOU

  • @5446jesse619 Two words: EAT SHIT!!! LMAO

  • @5446jesse619 The greater usage of all caps is in inverse proportion to IQ. Case in point.

  • @5446jesse619

Not only are you an idiot, but you are a sexist.

  • @Ragitsu fuck you your probably a fucking tree hugger what have you done i was just standing up for her but i guess your a fucking loser because you decided to fucking argue with a 15 yr old get a life you could have been the better person and not said anything but i guess your just as an idiot thats why she didnt say anything because she is the better person and does waste her time arguing with people what are you proving nothing how am i a sexist i stand up for anybody who deserves respect

  • @5446jesse619

"BECAUSE A MAN WOULD NEVER DISRESPECT A WOMAN"

How about a man never disrespecting a man, hm? If you don't believe in that, you are sexist to the male sex.

  • @Ragitsu a man is respected for his actions if a man does not respect then he does not deserve respect but i respect many men but not all men deserve respect just like not all women like i told tylerdurden this woman is talking about something of interest she is not saying bs or talking shit to anyone she gives us her humble opinion about a subject and helps us she deserves our respect towards her tylerdurden does not deserve respect for his actions

  • @5446jesse619

"a man is respected for his actions"

I assume the same goes for women, therefore, it goes for all people?

  • @5446jesse619 ok anyday man here california 2664ridge way dr national city motherfucker ill be waiting

  • my mora knife started to rust. How should i impregnate it?

  • $12.99 on ebay for that exact same knife, bought 2 of them about a month ago

  • $40? that same exact knife(MORA 911) can be bought for $11....$14 with shipping at bens backwoods online. and youre hot, :)

  • Mora 2000 is awesome but the edge gets roughed up pretty easy..

  • I found a similar 1 for $5

  • I love my Mora .. I use it everyday .., more then any other knife . But PLEASE have something with more chopping ability .. If you are in a survival situation. Processing firewood or making shelters . Mora can't do it worth a crap. Great knife though.. razor edge!

  • You're pretty and your hair smells nice!!!

  • Thanks for the video. It's weird every time you have a lovely lady talking about the outdoors or hunting the guys just go crazy.

  • i love how some american words are taken from dutch ... but a question , in school i always learned in english a rugzak ( in dutch ) is called a backpack (in english ) tough allot of times i here english and american people call it a rugzak too ... and i only hear it for last couple of years ... is it standard english or some sort of slang ?

tough i really like how u and other english talking people say rugzak awesome !!

  • @viniv20

I've used the word but I thought it was "ruck sack"

    (I may be totally mistaken)

That would sorta kinda make sense because it is

like a very fancy "sack" that you carry your basic

"typical"stuff in.Hence the word "ruck" which is

defined as: "The usual run of persons or things".

...or for those who say "rug sack".....

rug could be short for rugged.

    Just my thoughts on it....
