Rumiko Takahashi's series always seem to be great and disappoint us in the end because..:

a. Inuyasha; Inuyasha and Kagome NEVER kissed in the manga(happily they did in the anime twice!)

b. Ranma; Ranma and Akane never kissed in ANY adaption( well they sorta did in the Romeo and Juliet ep)
