Anybody know of any newer Texas singer songwriters besides Hayes Carll in this old troubadour tradition? Send me a message with some suggestions. Can only play Townes, Steve, Guy, Dylan so long and need to see if anything new has surfaced. Damn sure won't hear it on any Oklahoma radio
@AllKindsaGirls But, you know that doesn't excuse the concious discounting the subconcious of the obvious. Like, I could've been quoting a lyric to raise the dead - as it were.
Oh yeah, this is GOOD S*#T!! The Heartworn HIghways DVD is a CLASSIC, no doubt! Townes Van Zandt, Guy Clark, David Allan Coe, a very young Steve Earle, ALL DANDIES!!
@djs11 He does also roll the fifth on the A min, the open D string hammer on to E and has the added G on low E string from time to time on the A min as well. I did hear a E sus4 as well. Nice song.
@blackestcracker I don't think he's actually pushing down. You can see the difference in finger position in the Amin and the G, the pinky is out further. Not that a passing C would be bad, make it a G sus4 chord, nice chord. But I don't think Mr. Dobson plays it here.
My name is Richard Dobson as well. What a coincidence, because I love this guy's music!

Also notice, he's adding a high C into that Gmaj (the C on the first fret of the second, "B", string)
