Nice vid I'm a country boy but I'm also a gun enthusiast at age 14 I know a lot about them and I'm all about gun safety. My dad just got me the new remington versamax shotgun... Great gun its unstoppable.
@crazyredneck42069 Right on, man. Shooting is a great sport. Its clean, it sharpens all the senses, it requires intense concentration, and it is a skill that can be very useful for the rest of your life. Keep it up, bud. Peace.
@TiborasaurusRex And bay the way I love my .243. I have a Remington Model 700. It was my granddads and me and my dad found it in his house wrapped in a blanket and laying in the chairs at the dining room table. Not to mention that the scope could hit a quarter every time with 3 shots and 300 yards. But we have a new scope now because that one broke. Now hunting seasons over im going to sport shoot maybe try some long shots :)
@tannecr Normally more than that, but this was a down hill shot, hot ammo temp, and with a low air density becasue of altitude and B.P. 243 is great for long range. With the 105 grain A-Max and the righjt powder it has nearly identicle external ballistics as the 300 win mag with 190 grain BTHP (way less power of course). Let me know when you get set up. I can share loads with ya.
@TiborasaurusRex Just loaded up a little ladder with Hybrid 100v and the 105 AM. Planning on grabbing some H4350 because of the wonky temps in Colorado. What are you feeding that thing?
@tannecr 105 gr A-Max w/ 43.1 grains RL-19. I elect not to neck size, my bore is usually filthy, I use normal CCI primers, and I even use crappy old mixed brass I find on the ground at the range and I still get < 1/2 MOA consistently! Great load for the last 3,500 rounds.
@TiborasaurusRex I've always had good luck FL sizing as well. The old barrel I just pulled off the 243 hadn't seen a patch in probably 3-400 rounds and still shot decently well- little over a half inch with cheap 87 gr Hornady BTHPs. I'm really interested to see how the H4350 does, seeing mixed results with it. Holler if you ever come to Colorado!
dig your style,as a friend love guns also! check me out. the few firearm vids i have

@MrCoonTrapper You have a point there, cost is all relative isn't it? You could make any accurate deer rifle work if you equipped it with the right optics - so - add the cost of your particular rifle of choice to that of a SS10X scope ($299) and you have a very good 1000m set up.
im guessing that you hit high becouse of the incline not the powder burn rate shooting on angles has much more affect than a 10 degree tempature change
Nice video Rex! I was wondering have you tried IMR 8028? I got a pound, but have not had time to try it yet. Did you paint the Ruger or have it dipped? It looks really nice! Keep up the good work!...Grizz
@browngrizzly1 Never tried it. I am using 43.1 grains of RL-19, seems to work pretty good. I duracoated that rifle with an airbrush and some homemade templates made out of blue masking tape. Thanks. It was my first duracoat job, and I am improving all the time.
The tyrannosaur was most likely a warm blooded animal due to skeletal evidence suggesting warm blooded circulation structures. However even if it wasn't warm blooded, it was absolutely endothermic due to size of it, and the climate. In either case, it would be capable of quick motions and incredible bursts of speed. Tyrannosaur would most likely find a triceratops a nuisance, not hardly a challenge, particularly if triceratops moved like elephants of today.
@SupremeAmerican - I would love to agree with you as I myself am also of the “REX” variety. However, it would largely depend on whether the triceratops more closely resembled Loxodonta africana (African elephant) or the far less menacing Elephas maximus (Asian elephant). If triceratops had similar bad temperament to Loxodonta africana, T-Rex could be in for a descent fight. However, we have all seen the docile Asian variety shackled and led about by small schoolchildren as they work daily.
Awesome, i just got a 243 weatherby vangaurd. and for its cost its fucking acurate

@bbgun07 Very nice. I'd throw a $299 SWFA Super Sniper 10x42 on that thing, get some good charts made up for it and do some long range.

@TiborasaurusRex i do more med-range hunting, so i have a bushnell 3x9 which was about $500, that thing is indestructible, haha

17 Minutes is all you needed to get out to a grand? I'd like to hear about that rig a little more. I'm in the process of setting up a long range 243.

Varget is also good for different temperatures.

@GCMxVeGeTa - Is that the stuff I was looking for that has almost no burn rate change from 0-100 degrees?
TiborasaurusRex 6 months ago
@TiborasaurusRex Yeah, between Varget and Vivavitouri however its spelled. On .223 Rem from like 20*F to 100*F it changes like 5-10 feet per second.
