to all those tho think cali arnis is a bunch of crap show off moves.. i want to tell you all that this martial art is a battle type art not just for fighting... used with bolo knife (machete) and a dagger it is meant to continues slashing on the enemy not just for disarming although disarming is a part on the moves... this ancient art are used by lapu - lapu a visayan leader in cebu from philippines and he defeated ferdinand magellan a spanish voyager to tried to conquer cebu.

there is no better art, only a better man. but this kind of martial art is battle tested, the reason why it was practiced in several country nowadays.

Kali arnis is a complete martial art, i think. We use of certain of this techniques. Because i try to mixed with my weapon's friend, some technique arround the word. Kali arnis is in this martial art.

@Berkanno if escrima is so good then why is it that silat users or masters end of gettting the win against eskrimadors???? is it because escrima isn't a effective martial art and only good for begginers like kids 12yr old and younger???? if thats the case then i lost all respect for eskrima and believe it is the word pieace of shit that you can take in martial arts and should be recomended not to take it

@copypacercopypacer I dont think kali arnis is a bad martial art. I just say that i thinks about this, but with some of my friend, we dont practising kali arnis, we inspired a little by this, but généraly, we mixed somes differente technique and make rechearch about martial art. Dont lose respect for this martial art if you have that.

Personaly i respect all martial art.
