  • it's like a time warp .. in slow motion , the music and the pictures..

    neato!

  • cool video? and sounds on point kinda took me back son! im an old school kat filling that 70ish sh??? laid back keep doing what yall doing sounds good help save hip hop?? remember if your gettin paid for the studio time its not a hobby anymore?? and for future references dont bother rappin to people who are not artistically incline:: waisting your brain memory son... bobby bliss producing on cubase/asr 10/ stanton t60/ sp1200/ oklahoma city..

  • remember the days when a producer/dj can drop a beat on wax and it blow's up (art of noise, kenny dope, etc.) we gotta bring them day's back. that's what i like about teckno, acid and other forms of electronic music. it's all about the beat!!!! they don't need a mc or a singer. jazz for instance, some jazz has vocals and some don't. hip hop should be that way. just my thoughts. good vid.

  • this sounds bad.

  • Like Audio Bullys: -"We are just doin' our thing." get it, get in or get out... PEACE

  • do u really think i give 2 shits if u disagree...ur a moron , im not we obviously dont think alike...

  • I agree and disagree, I think it's great that you fuck races and shit. But yea, I guess you understand what I mean when I call people hustler-g's, I mean like 50 cent and all those suckers. But well, The only "famous" white rappers I know about is Eminem, Common and Immortal Technique. So, how many black rappers do you know, how many white rappers do you know? So compare.. That's only what Em's saying.. Chances of becomming big beeing white are smaller than beeing black.

    Peace.

  • common and im tec is not white.try african american(common) and hispanic.( im tec)

  • didn't mean common, hahaha, no he's not white :P but i thought im tec was white? what's hispanic?

  • That's what I think too, I guess that if I were black, had a yankee cap and sagged my jeans I guess I would already be in the mainstream. I don't say that the colour matters when producing, but the colour matters when promoting your beat. Wich beat would you chose? One produced from a "gay fagg-ass white nerd" man og the one produced of a "black hustla-G"? definitaly the G one. So even if you're talented, chances of becoming big are bigger if you're a "hustla-G". Peace

  • frenchbeatz..wow man you really don't know about the music business.. you get respect if you have hot shit.. thats it, you probably dont get any because maybe your beats suck.. don't think its all a racial thing.. I met jake one today, and i never knew what he looked like.. but he had my respect since day one that i heard his music cuz he had hot shit.. and i dont look at him any different..think outside the box man.

  • About your first message, I agree, it's about the heat.. But much of the business depends on look etc..

  • it looks like a expensive hobby

  • u start small and over the years collect gear

  • its not a hobby when you've got all that gear, its your job.. But that's a really great hobby, a hobby full of culture, criminallity and racism.

  • why is it full of criminality and racism?

  • well.. my mind isn't shrewd enough to understand your joke, ahahahha

  • this beat fuckin sucks!

  • Nice vid! And believe me... I WILL NEVER STOP!!!!

  • wow nice red sp

  • Sampling Changed My Life....

  • Am I the only beatmaker that prefers Fruity Loops above a MPC?

  • I rather use a piano roll to fix my sequences than having a better timing.

Some stuff just cant be played by hands.

  • yes you are.

  • nope, i have an MPC 1000 and i hardly ever use it...FL Studio is a lot easier and i like to "see" my patterns as well as feel them.

  • yeah definately. some prefer software, but not froot loops

  • You obviously dont know Fruity Loops.

Dopest software out there for Sampling Producers in my opinion.

  • A lot of people don't realize how flexible software is. their ignorance is astounding. Software and hardware are two different styles, but software is certainly more comprehensive. And I own the 12 bit EPS and I can get the exact same sound out of using the Parametric EQ, if not to a greater effect.

  • Exactly, most producers dont get into they software as much as they hardware.

While theres tons of VSTis to make ya sound even punchier and dirtier than say a MPC.

You dont even need much knowledge to use software.

  • it ain't NUTHIN like hip hop music!!!!!!

thanks for the vid. very inspirational. hip hop forever!!!!!

it's up to us beatmakers to shape and mold the future of hip hop. let's doit!!!

  • wow...duke has two SP's....

  • all that equipment is really not necessary if u have talent, although it would def help.

the reason i say that is this. if youre lookin forward to Eminems new album, make sure to type in "Eminem - The Glory "

Was supposed to be submitted to Eminem for his upcoming album. People have said it has a timbo like feel to it.

    Read description for more info

  • yeah, but you do need some of it.

  • Yeah, but hes kinda right.

A lot of dudes be thinking youll be making better beats with a MPC or a old SP and thats really some ignorant shit cause software can do it just as good with some VSTis and its easier.

But still MPCs SPs S950s etc were such important tools for hiphop and still are and pushin pads stays impressive.

  • all of the hip hop classics where done with the mpc and sp1200's. it's a must to have one of these machines. these two machines defined hip hop. good for the analog warm sound they produced.once you midi em up your up to date with everything out there.

it's really all about your sounds.

  • def true.

Hiphop wouldve never sound anything like this if there werent MPCs and SPs.

Sampling and hiphop wouldve never got this far withouth these machines.

The MPC is just as digital as a computer though ive heard the MPC has pre-amps on the outputs which makes it sound phat. Not sure.

But i think you can make the sound just as thick with some VSTi FX like compressors, bitcrushers, SD2100, EQs and all those kind of FX.

and off course a good soundcard.

  • i still use the mpc60II. i got it midi'd to a macbook using logic pro. i can trigger sounds from logic, sequence with the mp or i can run the inputs into my audio interface and sequence with logic with all of the computers compressors, gates, fx, etc.

i remember when i first got my mp back in 1994 (brand new) i stayed up with it night and day. the mpc is a beautiful machine!!!

it's all about creativity with these machines.

  • Back than computers werent really hot for music production as they are now.

I would def buy a MPC if i was doing beats in 94 that would def be the best way to go back than

but now i dont feel like i would use the MPC if i buy one

Started like 2 years ago on the Roland MV-8000 but i prefer FLs workflow and its lazy way of choppin, using a piano roll, tons of FX at once instead of 1 at a time so no need for resampling over and over again.

  • I still had to chop piano melodies manually on the MV cause autochop wont work that well for melodic kind of things

in FL i only have to delete some markers to chop it right.

I do feel like with certain VSTis you dont need any talent at all.

Lot of dudes on software arent creative at all.

I think hardware made me more creative cause i had to do it the hard way.

  • Has to be K-Murdock because I see Raw Poetic in the background of that shot!

  • is that K-Murdock at 00:57?

  • nice montage... we need a montageeeee MONTAGE! nice work..

  • man if i had...

  • RS fo' life bitches!!!

    da relic

  • im so jealous of the dude with the sp1200 and the emax.

  • THE F WORD DOPE SHIT

  • justoneshot: I like this video, thanks for posting.

I loathe your vandalism video, "Destroy," though. It gives graffiti, and graffiti artists, a very bad rep. If you love graffiti -- the artistic side of it -- as much as I do, you'll remove it. Please.

  • noone just looks after their thing zeppygorrila, everyone is in it for the money. :)

  • I always play this before I make a track....and if I dont feel like makin a track, I play this and makes me get off my ass to make a track, and when I'm tired and ready to go to sleep, I play this and makes me stay up and make a track.

    THis Vid is PURE inspiration
