He has a ton of experience in the music business and knows that there is a time and a place to be blunt; he's said many times he knows it's prime time and won't be the same there as he is on his show, but he will be honest and not let just anyone through to the next round. Don't like him, don't watch it.

I won't be watching it since I have never watched America's Got Talent anyway but um thanks for the SOUND advice, sweetie. You're giving the watered down version of what he said. He said some really mean things about her (including that she'll probably be dead in 3 years) and didn't seem to care that she was a great actress because In Howard's world if you don't look like Pam Anderson you're nothing and for him to just turn that attitude off for AGT... Actually he was wrong because she has gotten work since Precious and even though he tried to downplay her, at the end of the day she IS talented. More talented the bleach blonde bobbleheads he has on his show all the time. I don't think he will be fair in his judging. I think if a chick who looked like Gabourey were to come out after a chick who looked like Pam Anderson it would totally affect his judgement.
