  • Thank you for uploading this!

Just a question, does anyone know from where the clip with Natasha Richardson is taken?

  • Thank you.

  • WHERE_THE_FUCK _IS_KIM_MANNERS???!!!

  • And Nothing at all for Kim Manners?

    Absolutely Shocking.

A Producer for one of the greatest TV shows ever (The X Files [and a mention for Supernatural also]), and he doesnt get anything?

He got nominated for 4 Emmys too...

    Harsh

  • RIP to all of them !

  • beautyfull

  • 2009 beasted on so many legends..

Michael Jackson, Farrah Fawcett, Patrick Swayze.

    That's like three HUGE names!!!

Why didn't she sing Angel though?

  • Oh no! Snoopy's voice is gone too? Bill seemed to be so healthy, wonder what happened?

  • V.sad !!!!

  • ...brittany murphy???

  • This was done is September of 2009 before Brittany died.

  • What about Kim Manners? :(

  • look if michael jackson gets on there so should billy mays.

  • @AMVslowking Mays warranted a clip, but you can't compare them. MJ is the single biggest celebrity of a generation and a few of his tv appearances (like Ed Sullivan and the Motown 25) are landmarks in television

  • If this is for the biggest people in television, Billy Mays was a giant in TV for his commercials. So why not add him(besides that Michael was a bigger star)? Can anyone give me one other reason? I can't think of any.

  • tan linda Natasha la adoreeee.....

  • Faces and people we remember and thank for the smiles

  • So sorry there was no mention of the incomparable Mollie Sugden, who played saleslady Mrs. Slocombe for many years on "Are You Being Served?"

  • I liked Molly a lot. She was a great loss.

  • Rest In Peace to all who died this year especially Michael, Farrah, Patrick, Ed and Walter.

  • I loved Henry Gibson and Dom DeLuise. They brought so much job. I met Walter Cronkite. He was a nice man.

  • god, this video just says some much about what we hate and love must about life: it's transience

all of'em are in the ground now, just be glad they weren't once

  • RIP Bea, Farrah, Michael and everyone<3

  • Extremely well done, very emotional!

  • RIP to all of you. I will remember and love Michael Jackson always. Beautiful song.

  • Total class act at the 2009 Emmy Awards. Superb. well done, Sarah.

To all those we have lost, RIP. They are gone, but will live on in our hearts and in how they brought us all laughter and tears. (in the TV, films and stage)

    Thanks for the memories.

    Mike.

  • Very well put.

  • sarah did an amazing live performance..this was the best "in memory " i've seen.....well done

  • so sad too see little Michael...so much talent...he grew up and became the worlds greatest entertainer.

  • I still get goosebumps and chills when I see Michael Jackson and Patrick Swayze's face :( I can't beleive they're gone. Great Entertainers. R.I.P Michael Jackson and Patrick Swayze

  • Where is Kim Manners?

  • Rest in Peace David,Farrah,Michael,Patrick,Paul,Ed,

    Walter,and Bill

  • My dear Michael....I still cant believe your gone. Patrick, I grew up with all your wonderful work....i will miss you so. David Carradine was such a legend...mad they only played 2 sec of him

  • Beautiful pic of Natasha. IT's still so very tragic, we all miss her. May she R.I.P.

  • I always wished Bea Arthur had been my grandmother. She was awesome.

A fond farewell to Bea, Estelle, Michael, Patrick, Farrah, & all the others. Thank you for sharing your talent with us.

  • not everone in the video died trhis year ertha kit died last december

  • Same with Paul Newman. They died after the Emmy telecast last year.

  • That song sung with that heart about all those beautiful souls that passed. What a Tribute!

  • And Snoopy is gone too :(

  • Spot on as usual. She has only gotten better with age and is still absolutely gorgeous.

  • Sarah's tribute was "haunting" her voice was flawless, I can't believe we lost so many celebrities this past year, Rest in Peace David,Farrah,Paul, "the King of Pop" Michael & most heartbreaking was Patrick- We'll all Remember You"...

  • omg rip everyone!!!

Michael! forever you will be in my heart!

    My king of always!!

Rip for all! so good people!

  • rip patrick swayze!!!

  • RIP everyone.. and RIP my king,Michale Jackson ;(

  • Mclachlan was on point, i havent seen her in a while, but i will always hear her. oh my i almost lost it when the showed natasha richardson, paul newman, benedict, swayze, fawcett...the whole thing made me teary eyed

  • R.I.P. Farrah. We'll never forget that smile and courage.

We lost alot of talent this year...from Arthur to Cronkite to Swayze.

But what is really sad is how many had their lives cut short.

  • R.I.P. Natasha Richardson! Dom Deluise! Patrick Swayze and Michael Jackson! You all will always be loved!

  • OMG!! How could they forget John Hughes :(

  • I can't belive that they didn't included 4 time Emmy nominee Kim Manners. Well, that's the man who directed 1/3 of the episodes of The X-Files, directed on Supernatural and worked his whole life working on TV.

  • they forgot John Hughes!!! but still nice tribute.

  • Hughes did movies, he'll be in the Oscars one.

  • He wrote five episodes of Delta House - - he probably should have been included in this one, however, yes, he will be in the Oscar one.

  • SO many talented amazing ppl died this year. Unbelievable!! Thank you for what you gave us. You are unforgettable!!!All of you!!

  • RIP Nora.

  • Thank you for posting this! I will miss a lot of them, especially Bea Arthur.

  • I'm glad Farrah's rememberence clip went for 11 seconds (i think the longest out of all) because when she died, she was majorly over-shadowed by the death of MJ on the same day.

    Rest In Peace: Hollywood Legends.

  • I agree Bello... Farrah!

  • michael ill forever miss you

  • Michael I love and miss u so :(

  • i have never clapped as much as i did this year, WE lost a lot of amazing people this year.

  • michael, patrick, natasha and farrah, those are the ones that just broke my heart. such a mulititude of talent this year has left us. so so sad, the new movie makers are so not as talented.

  • Touching tribute, but I think Bea Arthur was shortchanged with those 2 brief clips. I'm actually a little surprised they also didn't include Ted Kennedy.

  • Comment removed

  • Ted Kennedy wasn't an actor.

  • neither were many in the tribute. but he was hugely prolific figure who made an impact with viewers on tv if you will

  • Bea had a ton of TV credits besides theater.

Yeah... she it was too short for such a prolific career.

  • it really was. she was a trailblazer between her work on Maude and The Golden Girls especially

  • I can't believe no Billy Mays either. But maybe he wasn't a member of SAG.

  • Comment removed

  • 2:03 We will never forget Natasha Richardson, nor the others.

  • no Billy Mays......that's messed up!

  • Michael, i still can't believe he's gone.................i'm speechless

  • agree w/miekatilley - but technically since she died in December of 08, I don't know if it would count for this year. They probably just looked at 2009 passings.

  • There are some December 08 deaths in there, like Robert Prosky and Paul Benedict.

The music they chose for this was fantastic. It was very emotional and well played. I'm still sadden when I watch this and see Patrick Swayze on there. =[

  • good god! i can't believe we lost so many

  • I can't believe they missed Majel Barrett Roddenberry.

  • my poor michael i still can't believe ur gone.
