I've never had a problem with no airbox.....though this has 4 individual S+B filters in the video, that are a bit damp I think. And yes, longer seperate exhaust pipes would help......
on my old gs550 i liked to hold the choke with a little rock (usually found on the ground nearby). that way i can take off, then flick out the rock while i am driveing. my bikes never start out as rats when i get them but after a while they turn into rats... good thing i like rats!
man I love the look of that bike. I just bought a kx750 I am trying to get running. Was thinking of doing something like this with it but not sure yet. So you working on another one?
Saw CHANGELING in an article in BSH, many years ago, blew my mind so I built my own called VOODOO CHILD in '92, still have it. Made a video of it, see preview on youtube. I done 50k miles on that thing, from Tasmania to North Queensland. 10 litre tank, shitty fuel mileage, but acres of balls out fun! A BMW rider once said to me, "I suppose the obvious question is, Why?" I answered "NO, Why not!" More power to you, solodog.
Dude this bike changed the life of hundreds of bike mad kids in the 90's ! I had pictures of it out of Awol i think it was stuck on my workshop wall for YEARS ! they almost reached holy hights . It was the best survival bike ever and as far as i'm concerned the first ! What happened to that bike called Eraserhead that had the same sort of seat but with a webber DCOE side draft carb.....do you know it ? build another one !! chopp
So is there a Rat Bike convention at all?
