@shiningbeans if u actually watched the show the last year, you would see there is no one except fox news anchors who are more critical on the obama administration than cenk
I'm no expert on health care, but I think TYT might be missing a crucial part of the puzzle here. Yes, I'd imagine that 80% of Americans are happy with their health care, but I'm not sure if it's the health care they CHOSE; it's the health care their EMPLOYERS provide. As such, even if 80% are satisfied with their health care, if their employers want to cut costs, they will end up choosing the public option over private insurers and people will lose the health care they already have.
Mr. Cenk Uygur proves to be a honorable man, when he comments the current democrat president has veered off from his promises. I enjoy his cable television program.
You wouldn't need all of them to destroy the private insurers. If a sizable amount take the public option (shift costs too tax payers) then the private insurers would go out of business. Then we'd all have the public option and costs would sky rocket. If the problem is higher costs, then always look for the cause of the problem to be government intervention and meddling. Government has NEVER reduced the cost for anything it has ever become involved with. Only a fool believes otherwise.
Businesses on the other hand, have always cut costs. The CEOs and other leading bodies of corporations have always thought about convenience and low costs to their customers. Never have they thought about profits, that would be unimaginable...
The problem is both major parties are run by lobbiests.
If the government can't reduce costs whats the benefit? Big Med and Big Pharma have loopholes written in the current legislation to reduce competion and protect their profits.
@kooooolmatt of coarse there is its called using google if you checked what they are saying everything will come up as fact and i bet you cant debunk what they are saying and i dare you to try send me a PM of what isnt fact and i will put it into concideration or debunk what you are saying and use proof that isnt TYT
@kazooga1234 In this vid he has it all wrong. The reason that people would opt out of their private insurance is because its super cheap they need to save money companies wont supply their employees with insurance because of gov run health care. Because of this premiums will increase dramatically making it impossible to have private insurance. Gov run health care would not be better. It is cheaper for the individual but make USA go deeper in dept more expensive things will take long to pay for.
@koo people wouldnt opt out of their private insurance company a lot of people would do what i would and that is buy both the public option and the insurance company to make sure i am completely covered and the public option might not be the cheapest option and that is because when the public option comes the insurance companys will have to lower their rates and have it be paid into like that so some might keep the HMO policy using insurance others might feel the public option would be better
@kooooolmatt (continue) what the public option would do is make it so the insurance companys cant keep raiseing prices and what the insurance companys do to the gov run option is make sure that they actually do what they promised by making sure that people are covered and treated as well single payer just forces people to have government run health care this way for the tea baggers who claim government run health care sucks and rather die then have still have the option to die
@kazooga1234 Here is where you are blinded. Go check out people who are in countries with gov run health care. With gov run health care there is only so much money so they have to ration. People are put on long waiting lists. Things that are easy to get here in the U.S.A. like simple blood tests are actually difficult to get. There is a lot of waiting. If you also include private health insurance with gov run it makes the cost of private to skyrocket.
@kooooolmatt i have and the comment section also says their health care is better then americas and here is the proof you need to find out how much worse americas health care system is and all the info is in the doobliedoo (description bar) enjoy this vlog /watch?v=Rq77LzLM0jw and blood tests are now hard to get in america as well doctors dont give them any more and i just skip them anyways because they hurt and my friend wanted to pass out from the pain
@kazooga1234 In Canada they have this but the middle class and poor can't afford private heath insurance. If you actually talk to people who live or have lived in a gov run health care system they would tell you that its terrible. They wait. Things that they need done don't get done. I have heard of a story where this mans mother died because they waited to take a test to figure out what was wrong but never got it and she died. It was a test but she couldn't get it done with gov health insurance
@kooooolmat they have free health care you fucker did you even watch this link /watch?v=Rq77LzLM0jw canadaians are living 5 years longer then us for a reason because the poor and middle class can have health care for free i mean sirously you are completely ignoring the facts and what people from other countrys are saying in the comment section and they are saying it directly to you stop ignoring the facts and start fighting for a public option that will actually be an option unlike single payer
@kazooga1234 HEALTHCARE IS NOT FREE AND HAS NEVER BEEN FREE. It cost money for health care but is put in taxes for universal health care. The reason they live longer might not be their health care system but how they live. Healthcare in USA is very expensive and needs to change but not a whole new system. We need to figure out the reasons for the high cost and change them. /watch?v=rjzVniBSqQg /watch?v=TdEXeXVmBFo&feature=related
@koo its free for people in canada that dont have a certain amount of money same with america in america we call it medicaid and in canada if you cant afford health care then you dont have to pay anything into it the richest of the rich pay for you and they get taxed and then if you can afford some but not a lot they have you pay a little bit into the health care system and the way to fix the high cost in america is called a public option a government run option that people can choose
@kazooga1234 Its not free. Someone else is paying for them. Other people are paying for their medicaid. In Canada someone has to pay. Everyone else is paying for them. That doesn't sound right at all to me. People who aren't paying for it are getting health insurance paid by someone else. Everyone should be able to get healthcare but insurance is different. Also Government Run health care tends to cost a lot and in America we simply cant afford it. It has helped deepen dept in other countries.
(continue) if they want to pay for it and if they dont want to have it then they pay 0 and dont get the gov run program and you can only get the gov run program if you pay for it and also canadians are paying way less and live longer then americans and the reason that the health care in america cost so much is because we dont have the government controlling it/the costs and with a public option that will balance that out and then morons that dont want gov run programs can still kill themselves
@kazooga1234 Canadians are probably living longer because of their life style not Gov run health care. You are very wrong here. The reason health care in america cost so much is not because gov doesn't control it when actually they try to its because gov has gotten to much involved is one reason. In Canada the private health care system (which tends to be better) is so expensive that people cant afford it unless you are rich. We can see what has actually happened and know it will kill private
@kooooolmatt your wrong the gov run health care is the only reason every single country is living longer then americans hell cuba is paying way less in health care and living as long as us and we are paying the most meaning we should be living the longest but the japanesse are living the longest and paying a decent amount to do so not the most because thats america and if the government didnt get involved they would have death panels like we do and you know why rush limbaugh said hawaiis health
@ko (con) care system was so good its because its a government run system and hawaii is the cheapest health care state in USA and soon it will be vermont because they are getting single paying not a public option either that means everybody will be forced on to it and guess what they get to keep the insurnace companys they already have or if they lose their job they are still covered by the state and the government run health care hasnt failed why do you think medicare and medicaide are so great
@kazooga1234 You are wrong about Rush and Hawaii's health care. Rush never delt with insurance he paid from his own pocket. The problem in this country is not the heath care its the affordability of health care. Rush can obviously pay for it which he did. American health care is probably the best in the world. We have some of the best hospitals and best doctors. Now with that said people do die here not because we have bad health care but because we have a horrible time trying to pay for it.
@kazooga1234 Insurance is way high, people have been denied insurance for some expensive procedures. This is the problems not the care we get but the affordability of it. Medicare and Medicaid suck btw. ama-assn.org/amednews/2008/09/01/edca0901.htm
@kooooolmatt right and the reason its so high is because there isnt a government run insurance company known as the public option to keep it down and if it wasnt for medicare my grandfather would be dead so fuck you and just so you know medicare/midicade and socail security cant go bankrupt
@kooooolmatt Canadians pay 10% of GDP for health care covering 100% of Canadians. Americans pay 17% of GDP to cover 62% of Americans and to leave 38% of Americans with inadequate or NO health care. The MAIN reason that Canadians live 4 years longer than Americans is that ALL Canadians have access to the health care they need and 38% of Americans, most of the middle class, are denied the health care they need in the US.
@kooooolmatt 45,000 of those Americans (30 times those killed on 9/11) die EACH YEAR die from inadequate health care in the United States, because American health care is rationed for profit, not provided for the health and well being of Americans. Canadians laugh out loud at Americans who think the United States has any kind of adequate health care..
@murphyj87 It is not inadequate health care, its unobtained health care. The American health care is one of the best in the world. Some of the best doctors and hospitals are right here in USA. It is hard to obtain the money for medicare. The care is fantastic but there's many people that cant get it. Thats the problem not the care but obtaining the care.
@kooooolmatt (continue) people die from the health insurance companys because they dont cover anything at least most of the stuff the government covers in canada and thats more then what you can say gets covered here go look up how many people die in america because things arent covered for them and if you watched the link it will also talk about how people die in america a lot more offten then other countrys
@kazooga1234 I agree about how people have not been covered for many things in america. Im not douting that. That is another area in health insurance that needs to change. Some things should not be covered though. Things that are not very expensive to the consumer but I agree that things that are expensive that should be covered have not bee. American healthcare needs to change but not be given a whole new system.
@kooooolmatt You "heard" about it, probably means it's made up. The medical system where people die becsude they lack yhealth care is that of the United States, 45,000 Americans a year die because they, and 38% of Americas are denied the hea'th care they need. What use is it to have physicians and health care as good as all Canadians get when 38% of Americans are denied it..
@kooooolmatt Tens of thousands of Americans living in Canada can't go back to the US because they can't get the health care in the US that they get in Canada
@kooooolmatt There is no such thing as "government run health care", but what you have now is INSURANCE RUN HEALTH CARE, with insurance company bureaucrats, not physicians, making your health care decisions and rationing your health care to increase their profits. Canafda does not have "government run health care" either. Canada has PHYSICIAN RUN HEALTH CARE, while you, in the United States have inferior INSURANCE RUN HEALTH CARE.

@jgrakowski Yea, I was yelling that at the screen when I was watching it too. It doesn't mean it's better. I don't drive a Toyota because I think it's better than a Mercedez. It's cheaper and good enough for now. lol. This guy needs to work on his reasoning abilities.
@kooooolmatt Haha, yea. Meanwhile the Post Office has lost three of my online orders and two medical bills just in the last 6 months, and neither UPS nor FedEx have never done that in over 10 years of me dealing with them. I'm sure healthcare will be different, though...
@jgrakowski Also if Gov run health care is put in place everyone in the US will be paying for it anyway so y would I pay for two insurances. Plus a lot of insurance companies will run out of business im guessing, there will be no need for companies to supply their employees with any insurance. Its like a monopoly with the Government.
Why can't we choose? Why does everyone HAVE to pay? What if, we simply don't want to pay? What if we would rather have options of different ways to pay? Why CAN'T we simply have choices? Why am I not allowed to make my own decisions?
I'm sorry, but the government is NOT responsible for my health. I fucking am responsible for my health. If we allow NHC, we must allow the government to control other aspects of our lives such as what we may or may not buy to keep us healthy.
single payer option is the only way. the gov't is responsible for the 'life and liberty' of the people. therefore it must supply free healthcare to everyone. no more denying care to increase profits. obamacare death panels are folly!!
I'm sorry but what Senator Grassley stated made absolutely no sense what so ever. Excuse me, but if the public option is so horrible that no American would want it; why would 150 million of them willingly opt into it? It seems to me that they would reject it...right? What would the insurance companies have to worry about if it became an option?
@mef75baby Grassley is correctly stating that 80% think what we have is pretty good... and also correctly stating that many would give it up (because people are attracted to things that are "free", and need to save money more than ever right now).
His opinion is that private health care as we know it would no longer function, and he backs it up with a bit of evidence. Nothing wrong with him on this one.
Grassley is so full of s---.. It cost twice as much to bail out the banks as it would cost for everyone in this country to have health insurance. Way too good for the people. See how Grassley is NOT working for Iowans at all. Grassley is an Insurance Company Whore.

I love the YT videos and agree health care needs reform... but this video is flat out wrong.

Obama walks in and hands back a step back into the right direction
Republicans in Arizona go off the charts in anger because they finally got all these people off health care and Obama comes back in and gives them a chance..
My appendix went to hell, i managed to "crawl" to my doctors office. He put me in a cab that took me to the hospital and a little over a day later i was back home in my bed for a week recovering and it didnt cost me a single coin :p
Well, i have paid for my treatment the last 12 years in taxes as a honest worker so...
@NorwegicusOnAstick Good for you, you got sick! What about those who don't get sick? Sure, everyone does get sick, but by the time you get sick, you already payed either more in taxes than what the operations are worth or you are working off of rationed medical care.
The current American insurance systems AND NHC both kick competition in the balls. We should allow the medics to compete, lower costs, and improve quality. Who knows, maybe we wouldn't need any form of insurance or government!
@NorwegicusOnAstick I do not wish to pay such high taxes because I am young and the chances of me getting sick are very slim. Statistically, someone my age won't need expensive medical attention until I am much much older. By the time I do go to the hospital, I will have already payed my medical bills and some extra. If I have not payed extra, then the government is going into debt and the system still fails.
@NorwegicusOnAstick Norway also has some of the mentioned flaws with national health care, such as waiting times.
I understand the whole idea behind unity, I really do, but I don't believe in forcing it. Norway has very high taxes and I enjoy spending what money I do have on entertainment. I am only 19, and I am willing to risk living without insurance for a few years. I think I should have that right.
@NorwegicusOnAstick Insurance companies and NHC both cover people, meaning people do not loook for cheaper hospitals or care. The reasons regular insurance doesn't cover everyone is because those companies would go into debt if they did cover everyone. NHC is basically regular insurance, but they cover everyone. It doesn't make sense to me.
As for the possibility of me getting hurt, it should still be my choice to choose whether I want health care or not. More importantly, the kind of HC.
@NoNameC68 If your like 98% of the people in the U.S. your making less then $250,000.00 a year. so your paying more in taxes than the other 2% so there is no less taxes for us until the Bush Rich Tax cuts end.......!
@METALMAN4Wii You're blinded by hate for the rich. You do realize NHC will increase taxes, therefore your argument is rather moot. If I'm not mistaken, it's a strawman argument.
@NoNameC68 lol the poor don't have a choice buddy it's no health care or no health care. if you're a rich person in a country that offers health care to all it's citizens you have the choice when you get hit by a drunk driver not to go to a hospital or to go to a hospital.
@brucelee6790 But you still don't have a choice in whether you pay or not! If you are rich, middle class, OR POOR, and you don't get sick and you don't think you'll get hurt, you have no choice but to pay for care you doubt (and likely wont) need for years.
Yes, THE POOR AND MIDDLE CLASS have to pay healthcare you fucker. In fact, your social class shouldn't play a role. Just because you can afford to pay for others doesn't mean you should be required to.
@NoNameC68 oh i'm a fucker now? who's the one complaining about having to pay for health care? that's the entire basis for your argument. you try to act like it's freedom of choice but we all know nobody is going to refuse health care especially when it's readily available to them when they know they aren't going to get billed after they get treated. your just a scum bag loser
@kooooolmatt 28% my ASS the Wealthiest 1% only pay 15% in Taxes. look it up and what do you mean the other 99% pay 71% in Taxes ? if that was True The People Working for Minimum Wage Couldn't afford to eat Nevertheless pay there Rent......!
@METALMAN4Wii First how did u get 15%? I did do my research. Top 1% pay about 30%, top 5% pay over half the federal taxes. I get 70 percent by subtracting 100-30. "People Working for Minimum Wage Couldn't afford to eat Nevertheless pay there Rent......!" The bottom 50% make up very little of the federal taxes. Less then 5 percent. so yes they can but they still struggle.
@kooooolmatt Every Documentary I've seen saids the Richest 1% such as the Walten Family ( they own a little Ma & Pa Crushing Store called Walmart ) only pay 15% in Taxes and it's called the Bush Tax Cuts for a Reason. if you don't believe me Watch Capitalism a Love Story.....!
@METALMAN4Wii WOW u get you info from Documentary like the way leftist Capitalism a Love Story. OMW. Look up the averages stupid. Plus I dont have a problem with tax breaks for the rich. Here is y. The rich supply jobs and buy stuff. If taxes are to high they cant supply as many jobs, buy as many things. The states that do the best are the ones that have the lowest taxes. Y? Because the people move there so do their business and create jobs there. U start taxing the rich more it effects everyone
@kooooolmatt Like Hell the Rich Supply Jobs that's why America is at 20% Unemployment rate they say 10% but it's a Lie. also mostly everything they buy is made in a another country so how is that helping the American worker again? so why should they get free money to buy things. maybe the American people making under 20k could use that money to buy a car built here. but You just keep eating the crap there feeding you ok. be a good little Puppy for the Rich and don't bite there hand don't think.!
@METALMAN4Wii WOW u are in idiot to say those statements. Its 9% and yes in reality its higher because of how they measure it. Mostly everything they buy is made in another country? What crap. First of all that so wrong, second if they do buy something from another country which everyone does it has to do with quality, price, and personal prefrence. Its not free money they earned their money. They do buy american. They supply JOBS. Ive never worked for a poor person before. Where do u work?
@METALMAN4Wii Unemployment has not been because of rich people. Rich supply jobs. Think of all the businesses around and tell me how many of them have a poor person running/owning it. Even if a rich person is paying 15% it is still more then what most people pay.
@Darusdei In the U.S. they haven't been making that many cuts to business. Also its hard for the government to have less taxes cause they spend soo much. I believe the head of Intel said it would take one billion more dollars just to have a factory in the U.S.A. Y the heck would u have a business in America if your going to loose more money and it wasnt because of paying the workers it was the high taxes and regulations.
@Darusdei Ur statement is pretty ridiculous because loopholes do not allow tax evasions. Tax evasion is illegal. Tax avoidance is legal means of reducing ones tax. Yes there are loopholes because it is to help the poor and rich. Rich can help supply more jobs and buy more things and poor keep their money for their own spending needs. It is still high even with "loopholes"
@METALMAN4Wii U said the family pays 15% in taxes. That could be true with tax breaks. It is still a lot of money that they are paying. Yes they pay 15%. When u take the total amount of the federal budget and look at how much the top 1% of wealthiest people give for taxes its around 30%
@METALMAN4Wii Documentaries have a tendency to sway the facts to make you believe what they are saying. The rich that were paying 15% of their wealth in taxes were the ones they showed but even though its 15% its still a lot of money. Probably not the majority of the wealthiest people. The majority probably pay 20% but they only showed the ones that pay the least amount. Because of these tax breaks they get they are able to use it to supply more jobs, more factories, stores, spend more.
Since when do doctors work for free? There is no such thing as "free health care." The tax payers pay for it! But instead of JUST PAYING YOUR DOCTOR in socialized medicine, you have to pay A HUNDRED BUREAUCRATS to process the payment and push around the papers.
@NorwegicusOnAstick You Crawled dam dude ? that's like this guy I know he was hit by a freaking SUV and he managed to crawl to the side of the road so he wouldn't be hit again. but that was maybe 5 feet at the most then he past out until EMT arrived. poor guy had to have a metal plate in his left leg and a metal plate in his ankle......!
stupid ass yes people with choose an option that causes other Americans (well at least the top earners) to pay their health insurance costs. If the government option involved no taxpayer cost then go ahead and get into the health insurance business but any option that is funded by taxpayer dollars will be cheaper to the customer but more costly in the total with more taxes needed!!
Yes, people will opt for the Pubic Option because the brain dead dopes think it is FREE, not because its better. Ask the people on Medicare and Medicaid how AWESOME their insurance plan is. Ask the doctors how great the reimbursement is for people on public assistance. Unfortunately the morons will have no idea what the actual cost to them is, financially as well as the cost to Liberty until it is too late.
@OurFathersTorch Why dont you try asking people from Canada and Engladn what they think about their national health care. I have and they all tell me its great and are shocked about how expensive it is here. Oh and of course doctors are against it. Doctors in America are greedy crooks. A specialist will charge you 200 dollars to see you 5 minutes and hand you pain killers. How is their a cost to liberty. England, France and Canada have national heatlh care are they communists countries?
I live in Canada and the healthcare here is damn good. When I hear Americans lying about the Canadian system I know they don't enjoy living in a world where facts actually have meaning. There are always problems in any system and nobody who knows about Canadian healthcare is going to say its perfect but its better than what you had before Obama made changes.
American healthcare is bad. No doubt about it. I would even concede that our system is one of the worst.
Obama's plan however is only going to make the problem worse. Many people outside the country assume that it is basically putting in a system like europe's or canada's...it's not. All it will do is increase the corporate interest's power over the medical system.
In other words he gave us a fascist medical system (at least more then we already had).
I am for a single payer health care and I disagree with Chunk. However, I think Cenk was a little unfair here; He misinterpreted what Chuck had said. What Chuck was saying is 80% of Americans are happy with their policies without costing the govt a dime. However, when the govt offers a subsidized policy (which obviously costs the govt money), most of the 80% will switch to this new policy because it is even cheaper, that will cost the govt money. Be fair no matter what your position is.
@hopes26Hello. I'm a Drama student in London, and am about to start creating a piece of theatre about the American Health System. To do this, I need to interview (via e-mail) American citizens. Would you be interested in taking part? I would be very interested in your opinions, as an American, on the issues surrounding Health Care in you country.
Well when the government offers a free program for everyone although people like there private insurance companies when they are paying for the people in the public options health care they will end up switching. When the public option has a bunch of people using this "free" health care how in the hell are we supposed to afford it? Quality will go down because people will go in for any little thing because it is free and they will have even longer waiting rooms.
Not so true. I lived in Britain and when I needed treatment I got my appointment immediately. Waiting lists are for less serious illnesses, but even these are treated while the wait is going on.
I had a friend who developed cancer there, and he was given chemo immediately.
Another guy wanted a hip replacement, but that was less serious than cancer so of course he was on a long waiting list, but while he was waiting he was medicated. Its not so bad.
@pluto4847 I live in the UK. There were plans to limit waiting lists to 2 weeks maximum for all conditions recently. which I believe is as long as it takes a private claim to be processed.
However the vast majority are treated same day in the UK.
Sing on to any doctor, any hospital that can will treat you. all free & costs much less than USA's system.
Worst part of UK health is dentistry & some old folk's homes, Privatized by Conservative scams is why. Private care for the elderly is a disgrace!
@pluto4847. Waiting lists are more-or-less non-existent in the French and Finnish models. The former is a universal health care mode (i..e compulsory)l that draws revenue at the national level, but is collected and managed by private non-profit organizations. The majority of the physicians are private, as is insurance, which are often non-profit. On the other hand, the Finnish model is all public, where private players are limited. Point being, either models are superior to US's crappy system.
Oh yeah? My sister's father-in-law lives in London and needed heart surgery. He had to wait 2 months. Because of the wait, he had a stroke. Now he limps and suffers from dementia. And when he visits I get asked to assist picking him up at the airport. Good old social medicine for ya!!
@thejewishguyonfire preventive care is the aim of most health care my friend, so you go into the doctor before you realize your cold is really cancer, that's the idea, and it is enormously easier, and much more successful to treat illnesses early than to try to cure them, thank you very much/ change your car fluids BEFORE you blow your transmission, understand?
Not only republicans want to ruin healthcare, they are also digressing us by withholding stem cell research with silly conservative point of views. People like Michio Kaku can help mankind, we should be 100 years ahead of ourselves and right wing conservatives want to reduce science. If we could create our own living heart, liver, kidney ect because of stem cells we should be in 5th gear. Republicans want to see people die, they do not care about anyone but them selves.
@jwhyte67 the defecit grew under Bush at an unprecedented rate, with democrats controlling the hill. The war sent the defecit speeding downhill, but this adminstration and congress have pushed it to a freefall. The only representative who is doing anything about it is Paul Ryan. I don't care what you political agenda is, just look at his proposition and ask why no one on the left is for it.
hey theyoungturks moron of course there wrong but democrats are just as bad people dont understand WE CANNOT AFFORD IT YOU WANT PROOF ASK PETER SCHIFF WHO PREDICTED THIS COLLAPSE TWO YEARS BEFORE 2008 /watch?v=dfjgWx3zQ6Q&feature=related
This Turk guy is so stupid. He doesn't realize that the Dollar is falling and economy is crashing. None of these programs can be sustained because there is no money. Democrats are driving this country into the ground. This is arranging the deck chairs on the Titanic. Idiot!
@Entropy56 Give me a fucking break, we are in a recession because of republican policies. I'll give you that the democrats arent making it better but lets not forget who the economy crashed under.
@jwhyte67 True. But the Democrats controlled the House and Senate since 2007. Nancy and Obama play us for stupid fools as if they had nothing to do with it. Throw all the bums out.
@jwhyte67 How do you figure? When bush was in office for he had the 9 / 11, he was fully staffed in sept, no thanks to the games clinton staff played. We had 4.5% unemployment we had extremely good growth, then the repubs where spending just like democrats and demo crats elected in at the last 2 years of bush. Look at the facts, it points to the decline after the DEMS where elected into office. The dems have always been against business and pro unions, special interests, dems want carbon tax
Evil does not exist sir, or at least it does not exist unto itself. Evil is simply the absence of God.. It is just like darkness and cold, a word that man has created to describe the absence of God. God did not create evil. Evil is the result of what happens when man does not have God's love present in his heart. It's like the cold that comes when there is no heat or the darkness that comes when there is no light."
then why don't we do the public option already, have the states run it, but the feds regulate it, the reprivates, or the "republicans" would love that!
.“Government is instituted for the common good; for the protection, safety, prosperity, and happiness of the people; and not for profit, honor, or private interest of any one man, family, or class of men; therefore, the people alone have an incontestable, unalienable, and indefeasible right to institute government; and to reform, alter, or totally change the same, when their protection, safety, prosperity, and happiness require it.” – John Adams
(2of2)if you think this is good policy, than you need to move to Venezuela and live under Hugo Chavez, see what happens when gov't tells you how you must live, you'll come running back with your tail between your legs, I promise. The only way for some to understand true liberty is to experience true tyranny, Obama is closer to Chavez than you think!! When you choose to allow a tyrant to gain a foothold, you invite disaster, for the tyrant will never be satisfied until he owns you, Barack is HE.
@Therockett1 I would rather give a little to my fellow man for the greater good, rather than beg in servitude to big business running amok due to no regulation and no reason to give back to a community that may well be it's backbone.
(PartB) no competition. Misery will result. Big business gives back in more ways than you can know, while government only takes from those who earn, and gives it to those who wait for the handout, those with no drive to suceed, taking from those who work hard and risk to prosper. Fear your gov't more than corporate greed, for big gov't seeks to OWN you! Not equal opportunity, just equal misery, that is the result of big gov't. See Cuba, Venezuela, Greese, Portugal, Spain.
@mattsonh@mattsonh (partA)But you see my friend, it will never be just a little, it will never be enough. The dirty little secret is that the more they take from good citizens like you and me, the more they will demand. Big business must compete with other business, the government has no such competition, it has no need to profit, so it can entirely defeat all rivals until it holds supreme power. You will witness this with healthcare, the aim here is NO insurance co.'s at all, then,
@mattsonh@mattsonh(1of2) You totally misunderstand John Adams if you think this quote supports the liberal position, it doesn't. The point of these words is that goverment serves the people, not the other way around. If you think that by taking over General Motors, Chrysler, the Banking institutions, by forcing an unpopular healthcare bill down the throats of Americans when 59% opposed it, by dictating what a corporate executive can earn,
@Darusdei lol. Hell no. Come on, they never wore kilts, they never painted their faces, the battle scenes were all wrong. Longshanks wasn't a pagan king, his son wasn't gay, The English won a majority of the battles, William Wallace killed more Highlanders than the English, Wallace massacred the people of York and executed women and children, he then fled like a coward back to Scotland rather than face English vengence. He never had sex with the French princess who was a little girl at that time
@Darusdei He couldn't speak French, he was a coward and a bastard. At his execuation he was strangled (damaging his trachea making it difficult for him to speak let alone yell 'freedom'). He was emasculated (balls cut off) and had his guts ripped out. There was no way he could yell 'freedom'. The English peasents didn't feel sorry for him when he died. They wanted him dead, what he did at York was un-forgivable.
@Darusdei Not a point of view. A fact. So when you execute hundreds if not near thousands of women and children, that makes you a hero? Rather than a murderer?
So the moral of this story is. If you work hard in school to get a good job that provides healthcare means nothing, it just means your a chump. Because the assholes that didn't want to work hard can get it for free. Not only do they not work as hard they just don't work at all. Thats ok cause OBAMA GONNA TAKE CARE OF THEM, they're gonna get some of that OBAMA MONEY. What a joke
and you know what else lol before obama it was no different, after obama its gonna be the same, do you have a response for that of course not conservatives usually point fingers at opposition only
@celph414 shut up mode? who are we talking about here? normal people? well I saw a lot of people protesting. I was quiet about it, I hated Bush and I talked shit about him. Just like I'm going to talk shit about OBAMA. Non of these presidents are doing anything for middle class. Bush for the rich Obama for the poor. Who are they both fucking over? yup the middle class
shut up are fox news viewers who do not bash their own and or wont even when something is obvious.
there should be a 3rd party but the Dand R controls everything, th teaparty cannot be a party because republicans have taking it over, so if there are any one thinking of running as TP they got another thing coming.
the middle doesnt matter, heck the middle(moderate) doesnt even matter in politics only for votes
I like this show, and I also think that thos dude is a pretty smart guy, but not all republicans are stupid. As a matter of fact, I think that democrats today are what republicans used to be and republicans now are just against the democrats for the sole reason they are democrats. Either way, if the healthcare is that great, why is it that our politicians use something else? Our politicians should be forced to live in the world they effect.
@sinwow33 This isn't your country, we don't live under your rules. Keep your "BLOODY" nose out of our politics. It's our country, not yours. Don't you have enough problems with your own politics? BUGGER OFF BLOKE!! As for the idiot in this clip, he's obviously got his head up his anal orifice.
If you think having national healthcare is communist or socialist then it would appear that the private medical propaganda machine is working perfectly. In the UK we have the NHS and it is supported by all the parties, yes even the ones on the right and I can assure you the Conservative party is certainly not communist/socialist. Do you want your taxes spent on war or healthcare?
Lol. Just because I like my house enough to pay my mortgage, it doesn't mean I'll keep paying it if I can get someone else to pay it. :D

Only a fool believes otherwise.
razerfish 8 months ago
@razerfish
Businesses on the other hand, have always cut costs. The CEOs and other leading bodies of corporations have always thought about convenience and low costs to their customers. Never have they thought about profits, that would be unimaginable...

kazooga1234 10 months ago
@kazooga1234 In this vid he has it all wrong. The reason that people would opt out of their private insurance is because its super cheap they need to save money companies wont supply their employees with insurance because of gov run health care. Because of this premiums will increase dramatically making it impossible to have private insurance. Gov run health care would not be better. It is cheaper for the individual but make USA go deeper in dept more expensive things will take long to pay for.
kooooolmatt 10 months ago
@koo people wouldnt opt out of their private insurance company a lot of people would do what i would and that is buy both the public option and the insurance company to make sure i am completely covered and the public option might not be the cheapest option and that is because when the public option comes the insurance companys will have to lower their rates and have it be paid into like that so some might keep the HMO policy using insurance others might feel the public option would be better
kazooga1234 10 months ago
@kooooolmatt (continue) what the public option would do is make it so the insurance companys cant keep raiseing prices and what the insurance companys do to the gov run option is make sure that they actually do what they promised by making sure that people are covered and treated as well single payer just forces people to have government run health care this way for the tea baggers who claim government run health care sucks and rather die then have still have the option to die
kazooga1234 10 months ago
@kazooga1234 Here is where you are blinded. Go check out people who are in countries with gov run health care. With gov run health care there is only so much money so they have to ration. People are put on long waiting lists. Things that are easy to get here in the U.S.A. like simple blood tests are actually difficult to get. There is a lot of waiting. If you also include private health insurance with gov run it makes the cost of private to skyrocket.
kooooolmatt 10 months ago
@kooooolmatt i have and the comment section also says their health care is better then americas and here is the proof you need to find out how much worse americas health care system is and all the info is in the doobliedoo (description bar) enjoy this vlog /watch?v=Rq77LzLM0jw and blood tests are now hard to get in america as well doctors dont give them any more and i just skip them anyways because they hurt and my friend wanted to pass out from the pain
kazooga1234 10 months ago
@kazooga1234 In Canada they have this but the middle class and poor can't afford private heath insurance. If you actually talk to people who live or have lived in a gov run health care system they would tell you that its terrible. They wait. Things that they need done don't get done. I have heard of a story where this mans mother died because they waited to take a test to figure out what was wrong but never got it and she died. It was a test but she couldn't get it done with gov health insurance
kooooolmatt 10 months ago
@kooooolmat they have free health care you fucker did you even watch this link /watch?v=Rq77LzLM0jw canadaians are living 5 years longer then us for a reason because the poor and middle class can have health care for free i mean sirously you are completely ignoring the facts and what people from other countrys are saying in the comment section and they are saying it directly to you stop ignoring the facts and start fighting for a public option that will actually be an option unlike single payer
kazooga1234 10 months ago
@kazooga1234 HEALTHCARE IS NOT FREE AND HAS NEVER BEEN FREE. It cost money for health care but is put in taxes for universal health care. The reason they live longer might not be their health care system but how they live. Healthcare in USA is very expensive and needs to change but not a whole new system. We need to figure out the reasons for the high cost and change them. /watch?v=rjzVniBSqQg /watch?v=TdEXeXVmBFo&feature=related
kooooolmatt 10 months ago
@koo its free for people in canada that dont have a certain amount of money same with america in america we call it medicaid and in canada if you cant afford health care then you dont have to pay anything into it the richest of the rich pay for you and they get taxed and then if you can afford some but not a lot they have you pay a little bit into the health care system and the way to fix the high cost in america is called a public option a government run option that people can choose
kazooga1234 10 months ago
@kazooga1234 Its not free. Someone else is paying for them. Other people are paying for their medicaid. In Canada someone has to pay. Everyone else is paying for them. That doesn't sound right at all to me. People who aren't paying for it are getting health insurance paid by someone else. Everyone should be able to get healthcare but insurance is different. Also Government Run health care tends to cost a lot and in America we simply cant afford it. It has helped deepen dept in other countries.
kooooolmatt 10 months ago
(continue) if they want to pay for it and if they dont want to have it then they pay 0 and dont get the gov run program and you can only get the gov run program if you pay for it and also canadians are paying way less and live longer then americans and the reason that the health care in america cost so much is because we dont have the government controlling it/the costs and with a public option that will balance that out and then morons that dont want gov run programs can still kill themselves
kazooga1234 10 months ago
@kazooga1234 Canadians are probably living longer because of their life style not Gov run health care. You are very wrong here. The reason health care in america cost so much is not because gov doesn't control it when actually they try to its because gov has gotten to much involved is one reason. In Canada the private health care system (which tends to be better) is so expensive that people cant afford it unless you are rich. We can see what has actually happened and know it will kill private
kooooolmatt 10 months ago
@kooooolmatt your wrong the gov run health care is the only reason every single country is living longer then americans hell cuba is paying way less in health care and living as long as us and we are paying the most meaning we should be living the longest but the japanesse are living the longest and paying a decent amount to do so not the most because thats america and if the government didnt get involved they would have death panels like we do and you know why rush limbaugh said hawaiis health
kazooga1234 10 months ago
@ko (con) care system was so good its because its a government run system and hawaii is the cheapest health care state in USA and soon it will be vermont because they are getting single paying not a public option either that means everybody will be forced on to it and guess what they get to keep the insurnace companys they already have or if they lose their job they are still covered by the state and the government run health care hasnt failed why do you think medicare and medicaide are so great
kazooga1234 10 months ago
@kazooga1234 You are wrong about Rush and Hawaii's health care. Rush never delt with insurance he paid from his own pocket. The problem in this country is not the heath care its the affordability of health care. Rush can obviously pay for it which he did. American health care is probably the best in the world. We have some of the best hospitals and best doctors. Now with that said people do die here not because we have bad health care but because we have a horrible time trying to pay for it.
kooooolmatt 10 months ago
@kazooga1234 Insurance is way high, people have been denied insurance for some expensive procedures. This is the problems not the care we get but the affordability of it. Medicare and Medicaid suck btw. ama-assn.org/amednews/2008/09/01/edca0901.htm
kooooolmatt 10 months ago
@kooooolmatt right and the reason its so high is because there isnt a government run insurance company known as the public option to keep it down and if it wasnt for medicare my grandfather would be dead so fuck you and just so you know medicare/midicade and socail security cant go bankrupt
kazooga1234 10 months ago 2
@kooooolmatt Canadians pay 10% of GDP for health care covering 100% of Canadians. Americans pay 17% of GDP to cover 62% of Americans and to leave 38% of Americans with inadequate or NO health care. The MAIN reason that Canadians live 4 years longer than Americans is that ALL Canadians have access to the health care they need and 38% of Americans, most of the middle class, are denied the health care they need in the US.
murphyj87 10 months ago
@kooooolmatt 45,000 of those Americans (30 times those killed on 9/11) die EACH YEAR die from inadequate health care in the United States, because American health care is rationed for profit, not provided for the health and well being of Americans. Canadians laugh out loud at Americans who think the United States has any kind of adequate health care..
murphyj87 10 months ago
@murphyj87 It is not inadequate health care, its unobtained health care. The American health care is one of the best in the world. Some of the best doctors and hospitals are right here in USA. It is hard to obtain the money for medicare. The care is fantastic but there's many people that cant get it. Thats the problem not the care but obtaining the care.
kooooolmatt 10 months ago
@kazooga1234 Gov run programs have never been much success. hey have failed many times. I dont want my health insurance put into government hands.
kooooolmatt 10 months ago
@kooooolmatt (continue) people die from the health insurance companys because they dont cover anything at least most of the stuff the government covers in canada and thats more then what you can say gets covered here go look up how many people die in america because things arent covered for them and if you watched the link it will also talk about how people die in america a lot more offten then other countrys
kazooga1234 10 months ago
@kazooga1234 I agree about how people have not been covered for many things in america. Im not douting that. That is another area in health insurance that needs to change. Some things should not be covered though. Things that are not very expensive to the consumer but I agree that things that are expensive that should be covered have not bee. American healthcare needs to change but not be given a whole new system.
kooooolmatt 10 months ago
@kooooolmatt You "heard" about it, probably means it's made up. The medical system where people die becsude they lack yhealth care is that of the United States, 45,000 Americans a year die because they, and 38% of Americas are denied the hea'th care they need. What use is it to have physicians and health care as good as all Canadians get when 38% of Americans are denied it..
murphyj87 10 months ago
@kooooolmatt Tens of thousands of Americans living in Canada can't go back to the US because they can't get the health care in the US that they get in Canada

Im no socialist, i vote right wing but the right wing here still think we should look out for one another.
If you get sick you are guaranteed treatment, when you get old you get the help you need.
The young and healthy should look out for the old and sick.
Yes i pay 36 % of my income in taxes, but im far from poor, and our healthcare is at high standards.
NorwegicusOnAstick 1 year ago
@NorwegicusOnAstick I do not wish to pay such high taxes because I am young and the chances of me getting sick are very slim. Statistically, someone my age won't need expensive medical attention until I am much much older. By the time I do go to the hospital, I will have already payed my medical bills and some extra. If I have not payed extra, then the government is going into debt and the system still fails.
It's a lose lose situation.

@NoNameC68 It is waiting time for non life dangering problems and ailments that are not painfull. Usually less than a year.
What if you dont get ill but get in an accident and have to spend a week, two week or even months at a intensive care unit?
Thats inasnely expensive, i work in one at Oslo univerity hospital. A stay would ruin you if you had to pay for it your self.
No insurance or guaranteed help is scary stuff.
NorwegicusOnAstick 1 year ago
@NorwegicusOnAstick Insurance companies and NHC both cover people, meaning people do not loook for cheaper hospitals or care. The reasons regular insurance doesn't cover everyone is because those companies would go into debt if they did cover everyone. NHC is basically regular insurance, but they cover everyone. It doesn't make sense to me.
As for the possibility of me getting hurt, it should still be my choice to choose whether I want health care or not. More importantly, the kind of HC.
NoNameC68 1 year ago
@NoNameC68 If your like 98% of the people in the U.S. your making less then $250,000.00 a year. so your paying more in taxes than the other 2% so there is no less taxes for us until the Bush Rich Tax cuts end.......!
METALMAN4Wii 1 year ago
@METALMAN4Wii You're blinded by hate for the rich. You do realize NHC will increase taxes, therefore your argument is rather moot. If I'm not mistaken, it's a strawman argument.
NoNameC68 1 year ago
@NoNameC68 lol the poor don't have a choice buddy it's no health care or no health care. if you're a rich person in a country that offers health care to all it's citizens you have the choice when you get hit by a drunk driver not to go to a hospital or to go to a hospital.
brucelee6790 1 year ago
@brucelee6790 But you still don't have a choice in whether you pay or not! If you are rich, middle class, OR POOR, and you don't get sick and you don't think you'll get hurt, you have no choice but to pay for care you doubt (and likely wont) need for years.
Yes, THE POOR AND MIDDLE CLASS have to pay healthcare you fucker. In fact, your social class shouldn't play a role. Just because you can afford to pay for others doesn't mean you should be required to.
NoNameC68 1 year ago

METALMAN4Wii 11 months ago
@METALMAN4Wii First how did u get 15%? I did do my research. Top 1% pay about 30%, top 5% pay over half the federal taxes. I get 70 percent by subtracting 100-30. "People Working for Minimum Wage Couldn't afford to eat Nevertheless pay there Rent......!" The bottom 50% make up very little of the federal taxes. Less then 5 percent. so yes they can but they still struggle.
kooooolmatt 11 months ago
@kooooolmatt Every Documentary I've seen saids the Richest 1% such as the Walten Family ( they own a little Ma & Pa Crushing Store called Walmart ) only pay 15% in Taxes and it's called the Bush Tax Cuts for a Reason. if you don't believe me Watch Capitalism a Love Story.....!
METALMAN4Wii 11 months ago
@METALMAN4Wii WOW u get you info from Documentary like the way leftist Capitalism a Love Story. OMW. Look up the averages stupid. Plus I dont have a problem with tax breaks for the rich. Here is y. The rich supply jobs and buy stuff. If taxes are to high they cant supply as many jobs, buy as many things. The states that do the best are the ones that have the lowest taxes. Y? Because the people move there so do their business and create jobs there. U start taxing the rich more it effects everyone
kooooolmatt 11 months ago
@kooooolmatt Like Hell the Rich Supply Jobs that's why America is at 20% Unemployment rate they say 10% but it's a Lie. also mostly everything they buy is made in a another country so how is that helping the American worker again? so why should they get free money to buy things. maybe the American people making under 20k could use that money to buy a car built here. but You just keep eating the crap there feeding you ok. be a good little Puppy for the Rich and don't bite there hand don't think.!

Even if a rich person is paying 15% it is still more then what most people pay.
kooooolmatt 10 months ago
@kooooolmatt those are both already proven wrong, it doesn't matter how big cuts you make to the rich the number of jobs just isn't going up.
Darusdei 10 months ago
@Darusdei In the U.S. they haven't been making that many cuts to business. Also its hard for the government to have less taxes cause they spend soo much. I believe the head of Intel said it would take one billion more dollars just to have a factory in the U.S.A. Y the heck would u have a business in America if your going to loose more money and it wasnt because of paying the workers it was the high taxes and regulations.
kooooolmatt 10 months ago
@Darusdei also the states that have less taxes on business tend to have more businesses and do better then ones with high taxes.
kooooolmatt 10 months ago
@kooooolmatt corporate and personal taxes are two different things.
though corporate taxes in the u.s. is one of the highest in the world but even that includes loopholes which allow ridiculous tax evasions
Darusdei 10 months ago
@Darusdei Ur statement is pretty ridiculous because loopholes do not allow tax evasions. Tax evasion is illegal. Tax avoidance is legal means of reducing ones tax. Yes there are loopholes because it is to help the poor and rich. Rich can help supply more jobs and buy more things and poor keep their money for their own spending needs. It is still high even with "loopholes"
kooooolmatt 10 months ago
@kooooolmatt so how many new jobs has the tax cuts for the rich produced? exactly, it doesn't
Darusdei 10 months ago
@METALMAN4Wii U said the family pays 15% in taxes. That could be true with tax breaks. It is still a lot of money that they are paying. Yes they pay 15%. When u take the total amount of the federal budget and look at how much the top 1% of wealthiest people give for taxes its around 30%
kooooolmatt 10 months ago
@METALMAN4Wii Documentaries have a tendency to sway the facts to make you believe what they are saying. The rich that were paying 15% of their wealth in taxes were the ones they showed but even though its 15% its still a lot of money. Probably not the majority of the wealthiest people. The majority probably pay 20% but they only showed the ones that pay the least amount. Because of these tax breaks they get they are able to use it to supply more jobs, more factories, stores, spend more.
kooooolmatt 10 months ago
@NorwegicusOnAstick
Since when do doctors work for free? There is no such thing as "free health care." The tax payers pay for it! But instead of JUST PAYING YOUR DOCTOR in socialized medicine, you have to pay A HUNDRED BUREAUCRATS to process the payment and push around the papers.

stupid ass yes people with choose an option that causes other Americans (well at least the top earners) to pay their health insurance costs. If the government option involved no taxpayer cost then go ahead and get into the health insurance business but any option that is funded by taxpayer dollars will be cheaper to the customer but more costly in the total with more taxes needed!!
BSS14285 1 year ago
Yes, people will opt for the Pubic Option because the brain dead dopes think it is FREE, not because its better. Ask the people on Medicare and Medicaid how AWESOME their insurance plan is. Ask the doctors how great the reimbursement is for people on public assistance. Unfortunately the morons will have no idea what the actual cost to them is, financially as well as the cost to Liberty until it is too late.
OurFathersTorch 1 year ago
@OurFathersTorch Why dont you try asking people from Canada and Engladn what they think about their national health care. I have and they all tell me its great and are shocked about how expensive it is here. Oh and of course doctors are against it. Doctors in America are greedy crooks. A specialist will charge you 200 dollars to see you 5 minutes and hand you pain killers. How is their a cost to liberty. I live in Canada and the healthcare here is damn good. When I hear Americans lying about the Canadian system I know they don't enjoy living in a world where facts actually have meaning. There are always problems in any system and nobody who knows about Canadian healthcare is going to say its perfect but its better than what you had before Obama made changes.
hazardbreath 1 year ago
@hazardbreath

Well when the government offers a free program for everyone although people like there private insurance companies when they are paying for the people in the public options health care they will end up switching. When the public option has a bunch of people using this "free" health care how in the hell are we supposed to afford it? Quality will go down because people will go in for any little thing because it is free and they will have even longer waiting rooms.
thejewishguyonfire 1 year ago
@thejewishguyonfire
Its not so bad.
pluto4847 1 year ago 29

YTSurferX 1 year ago
@thejewishguyonfire preventive care is the aim of most health care my friend, so you go into the doctor before you realize your cold is really cancer, that's the idea, and it is enormously easier, and much more successful to treat illnesses early than to try to cure them, thank you very much/ change your car fluids BEFORE you blow your transmission, understand?

Evil does not exist sir, or at least it does not exist unto itself. Evil is simply the absence of God.. It is just like darkness and cold, a word that man has created to describe the absence of God. God did not create evil. Evil is the result of what happens when man does not have God's love present in his heart. It's like the cold that comes when there is no heat or the darkness that comes when there is no light."

Therockett1 1 year ago
@mattsonh @mattsonh (partA)But you see my friend, it will never be just a little, it will never be enough.

If you think having national healthcare is communist or socialist then it would appear that the private medical propaganda machine is working perfectly.
