So nice to hear these things. I do need to emphasize something very very important to be sure of before the person leave this life. That is to truly secure their eternal salvation with a confession of belief in Jesus. The narrow door needs to be opened before one can walk through it. See my "Mystery" video for full explanation.
John died in the same year my husband Don died - Don died smiling before he fell into unconsciousness - he left us with a sense of the sacred and peace after the dreadful medical abuse he suffered - John's Poem "For grief" has helped me no end and though the tears still flow - I know one day we all come back together again - and I always did - but John helped me remember
@flenithganthry, I know what you mean. My partner died in complete inner peace and happiness, like I have never seen him in his life before, though it was such a sudden unexpected death, but it was not "just a normal day like everyday", no, it was as if he felt something big is going to happen today, we had wonderful hours together before he died and we two alone were together when it happened, he told me how much he loved me with such intense like never before. Still I´m crying a lot. Miss him
I stumbled across John's books about two years before he died. I found what he talked about in one sense mind blowing, but more importantly so comforting.
I believe the education of our childern should at the very least involve them with this sort of teaching with just as much importance.
I am very pleased to see that my video of John O'Donohue is on Youtube! I sent my video to Greenbelt afterwards, and they must have posted it. What a nice surprise!
I've read several of his books and wish I could have seen him speak. Just look at him, he exudes spiritual energy, I can imagine it was an energizing experience to be in the same room as him.
