i'm going into civil engineering with a biomedical option, but i'm a little bit worried about the career opportunities in this field/ it seems that a lot of biomedical engineering research has more to do with mechanical, electrical, or chemical engineering. can anyone tell me how civil and biomed can work together, i know i'll find out in september but my school doesn't have much info on the site and i just need some reassurance that i'll be able to do something with my degree
Its fine how you guys worry so much about making money and finishing soon and all these things. There should be true passion, if you don't have it don't waste your time.
wtf... 12k? 22k? People who work at McDonalds make more than that. What was you're source? B/c this doesn't seem likely, engineers are definitely underpaid, but not to this extent.
You start out in the mid to upper 30's then as you progress and get experience can make in 70's or more. This all depends where you live also someone living in Mississippi will not get paid the same as someone in California.
60k is starting salary usually I think. She forgot that many go to medical school
