At the time of engaging the target, the officers involved believed based on intelligence, that he was carrying an IED & was intent on detonating it. Mark Aspinall was given a 3 month suspended sentence, 200 hours community service and ordered to pay £250 compensation to the Officers, Mark's conviction was over turned when Liverpool magistrates court was shown this video.
This was clearly Police Brutality & Mark won in the end. The police were not within thier rights whatso ever to have treated Aspinall in this way, it's just a case of police bullies sticking the boot in!

Its not a matter of easy pickings he was arrested in error like I said he compounded the error by resisting arrest if he hadnt he would have been taken down the nick and either held overnight and released the next day or when they figured out later that he wasnt the one they wanted he would have been released, instead he thought he knew better and physically resisted including biting one of the police and their response as would be any other time was to handcuff him.

At the time of engaging the target, the officers involved believed based on intelligence, that he was carrying an IED & was intent on detonating it. When dealing with such a situation, the main priority is the safety of the public, you simply cannot run the risk of an IED going off on a train. As we know, the surveillance operation was bungled & the wrong man was targetted.

Mark Aspinall was given a 3 month suspended sentence, 200 hours community service and ordered to pay £250 compensation to the Officers, Mark's conviction was over turned when Liverpool magistrates court was shown this video.
This was clearly Police Brutality & Mark won in the end. The police were not within thier rights whatso ever to have treated Aspinall in this way, it's just a case of police bullies sticking the boot in!

he wasnt punched 10 times and it wasnt after he was handcuffed it was before! because it is a technique used to make a suspect release in this case his hands which he had clasped together under his body in an attempt to prevent the police handcuffing him!

i am suprised that you seem to be pro army yet anti police, i mean incidens such as what happened to jean charles menezes happen constantly in Iraq and afghanistan involving british soldiers, because when guns are involved and high priority incidents, tragic accidents happen.
At the same time i am not discarding the option of conspiracy, but it would make more sense if the firearms officers who shot him didn't know that he was innocent, and where told that he was by their superiours who wanted.

Theres nothing wrong with what the police did here he was by his own admission drunk and abusive and they attempted to arrest him if he had not resisted that would have been the end but he resisted and bit one of them in the process and they used pain compliance to stop him resisting and allow them to handcuff him, perfectly normal.

Its not a matter of easy pickings he was arrested in error like I said he compounded the error by resisting arrest if he hadnt he would have been taken down the nick and either held overnight and released the next day or when they figured out later that he wasnt the one they wanted he would have been released, instead he thought he knew better and physically resisted including biting one of the police and their response as would be any other time was to handcuff him.
