He missed one of the more important things about the Photo Clam ballheads: you can set the friction so that you can move the camera + lens fairly easily, but, when you let go, it stays in place. To lock it down, you just turn the large knob. The Photo Clam is, in many ways, like a copy of the Markins ballheads from Korea. (Photo Clam is from China.)
