Open up a NKJV bible, and you can see the footnote in Exodus 6:3 the word YHWH. I don't know where you get your interpretation from, but it is definitely not from bible scholars because you dared interprete the Hebrew name of God in such degrading manner, with no reverence for God whatsoever.

The God of the bible is called by many names e.g. Jehovah Jireh (The Lord Will Provide) to describe an aspect His many-faceted character. His proper name is YHWH / YAHWEH / JEHOVAH, which was revealed to Moses and translated in English as " I AM WHO I AM " in Exodus 3:14. It is not AHYH as you claim.
The name of God in the bible, YAHWEH specifies an immediacy, a presence. Yahweh is present, accessible, near to those who call on Him for deliverance (Psalm 107:13), forgiveness (Psalm 25:11) and guidance (Psalm 31:3).

Jay, may God bless you richly and give you more revelation of His word as you patiently explain the related bible verses to the muslims. I have seen a few of Mr Ahmad Deedat's videos, where because of his ignorance and poor understanding of the bible, he has made many grossly wrong interpretations. And this had mislead many muslims on what the bible actually preaches.

@TheLieDectector, actually, they do. YHWH, usually verbalized as Yahweh, is the personal name of God, and this was taught to me both in Catholic CCD when I was a child, and in Protestant Sunday School as an adult.

The word Allah although used as a name could also be termed a title.
Pre Islamic Arabs used that name to describe the 'ultimate God' the one above all others.
I do not know of the 1st use of the name Allah.
We muslims also have 99 names/attributes for Allah which are also not new but when applied to Allah give a whole new dimension.
I do not know why he is not called YHWH, i can only suppose that is a hebrew equivolent of the 'ultimate God'.

My understanding is that the word Elohim is also used.
'Allah there is no other god but he! To him belong the most beautiful names' Surah Ta-Ha vs 8.
So we Muslims don't have a Problem when for example if i say in english that Allah is the Magnificent, that is a beautiful name/attribute.

@stronzo5785 Those are the names which descrihe the attributes which Allah has, which have been given to us, There is no inconsistancy there unlike you who give names to 'God' of your own choosing.
The difference with the Quran & the Bible is that we have an unbroken chain of narration going back to when it was revealed whereas you have a broken chain & you try to repair it with guesswork which is why you have more than 360 versions of the Bible in the English alone.

Laa means No. ilaaha means god. illa means except. allah means Allah. in all it means There is no god except Allah. So please get this in your mind. Even the non muslim arabs know this. In Exodus 6:3, the Hebrew word YHWH is used again and is translated in the English bible as *LORD* with capital letters. Open up a NKJV bible, and you can see the footnote in Exodus 6:3 the word YHWH. I don't know where you get your interpretation from, but it is definitely not from bible scholars because you dared interprete the Hebrew name of God in such degrading manner, with no reverence for God whatsoever.

This is the reason why the bible is the inspired Word of God, and why Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the Living God. It is always true, accurate and will never contradict itself. All the prophecies contain inside are true; some have come to pass and others will too in the future.
Why is it so wonderful? It is because God Almighty wrote it Himself, His Holy Spirit working through His prophets and servants. I am always in awe everytime I research the bible. I truly praise God.

The English translation of the bible (NKJV) uses the word "LORD" in capital letters to translate the Hebrew word "YHWH" (or Yahweh). It is written in the footnote. This is because out of reverence, the Jews do not want to pronounce God's holy name YHWH and therefore substituted it with the word "Lord" (in Hebrew "Adonai ") or "God" (in Hebrew "Elohim").

By similar research, Yahweh in the New Testament is actually found in the name of Jesus, the Son of God. If you don;t believe it, research it yourself online.

The God of the bible is called by many names e.g. Jehovah Jireh (The Lord Will Provide) to describe an aspect His many-faceted character. His proper name is YHWH / YAHWEH / JEHOVAH, which was revealed to Moses and translated in English as " I AM WHO I AM " in Exodus 3:14. It is not AHYH as you claim.
