man,i think you had a lot if fun with fireworks when you were a child, let your kids do that too.Just tell them that they re dagerous and argue a bit about it.And the best thing you can give him to protect himself are some glasses.
@branza27 These are some ideas for parents that want to go without fireworks, or that can't get them in their area. Fireworks can be worth the risk, if you are careful, and most of the dads around here have used them around and with their kids.
why will you give your own flesh and blood, glow in the dark shit instead of fire and loud noises and shiny stuff. FUCKING "SELF DESIGNED SELF HELP PROGRAM" SELLING BASTARD!
OK, wtf are glowing shit ralated to FIREWORKS they dont go BOOM or anything the dont SHINE as = and life without risks, its BORING !!! AND 2 MRE THINGS UR SHOW ITS GAY, AAND U SHOULD CHANGE THE TITLE TO : (ULTIMATE SUPER EXTRIMLY SAFE BORING THINGS TO THE SUPER EXTRIMLY OVERPROTECTIVE PARENTS TO MAKE UR SON A PATETIC SUPER EXTRIMLY FAGG WIRDO THAT WILL FEAR ANYTHIG RISKY IN HIS LIFE in concecuense he wont make all this things SPORTS, TALKING TO A GIRL, ETC = THE BIG DUCHEBAG U WERE AS CHILD...
i understand this guy trying to be safe but now hes just a bitch im 14 and ive been using fireworks since i was like 9 with out any problems what so ever cause my parents thought me how to be safe but still not be a bitch so i suggest teaching ur kids cause if u dont teach them early there going to go out in the world and either be a bitch there entire life or there going to do something stupid and get really hurt
I have been playing with fireworks since I have been 12 years of age. If you use fireworks the correct way (like the say on the label), and don't fool around with them, you will not have any problems.
We skip doing fireworks ourselves and we go to the park or the beach and watch the ones that are lit off by people who know what they are doing.
We love the glow up sticks and toys, too... and they even sell them at the fireworks display shows.
And lets not forget that the glow sticks that can be worn as necklaces and bracelets are great for helping kids be safe at another holiday... that's right... HALLOWEEN!!
Thanks to Daddy Troy for the tip about the website!
great alternatives! I remember one particularly horrifying 4th when I was young, the kid who was lighting the fountains put them on top of each other and one tipped over and started shooting right at everyone watching.
Oriental Trading is great!!! However glowing toys are not as good as fireworks. We get a few every year and Dad lights them up while we watch. We do get the sparklers too.
My uncles used to have a huge fireworks bash every year when I was growing up. 15 years and not one accident or injury to anything alive or not.
Like anything dangerous taking some time to make sure extra precautions are met will result in a safer experience for everyone. =)
In our family, my wife is the pyro, always telling me about the "amazing 2 for 1!!!" deals at the local fireworks stand. So if anybody gets hurt this year, it'll probably be her.
Totally agree wrt the danger of sparklers. People think they're safe because they're sold everywhere. In fact, Wikipedia even describes sparklers as "fireworks for children"!! Much better to let Mom or Dad blow her/himself up. Much less latent guilt for all parties involved.
Here is a good idea for parents:
Let your kids do what they want, if they get hurt or die, too fuckin bad, survival of the fittest, the world is already too populated.
