  • Shazzy's first album was DOPE. I've been searching for her second album for ages. I don't think it ever got an official release or, if it did, the distribution was wack. I agree that this is very different from the first album, and it's clear that the label pushed her into a different image. Her earlier style was much more genuine and soulful. I see that she and her daughter have chimed in on this thread, which is great. @KamikaT313, your mother was a serious artist and produced great work

  • ahahaha this is my mom and i am still in shock that she went from this to a stay at home mom with two kids:P So Shazzy is my mom and yes I am her daughter.. im kami:)

  • Jigahoe was my joint. Shazzy was killin it with the fur coat

  • @BDizzleNY06 LOL. I randomly decided to see if the video was on youtube! Keep up the good work posting the old school videos. I don't know how many times I yelled but I do remember the big dude knocking me down in one of the takes and I got hurt. Facebook me Enovia Bedford ( i jacked my moms youtube).

  • Ha. So I'm the little girl that was in this video. Well i was the little girl, now I'm 26. It was a pretty fun shoot and a dope song.

1 month ago @Shazzy193stHollisNY I hope your well!!

  • @charjd I always get excited when someone from an old video makes a comment...How many times you had to yell from the fire escape? LOL. Thanks for commenting.

  • i believe in ebonics!

  • nice video but i prefer bahamadia...

  • @SCHMOOVNESS her debut "Attitude: A Hip Hop Rapsody" back in 1990 was way better then this...this chick actually has skills...this just is not a better representation of them. She was severly underrated in the 90's

  • still dope - hehe and i got dem records

  • oh my god!! sick track!

Also a sick track from Shazzy is Stone Walls! :D

  • Is this the vodeo I was suppose to be in Shazzy?

  • Yeah, this was the one. Why didn't you come? The word was out about when and where we would shoot. It was not a closed shoot. Most of it was shot in Brooklyn.

  • Yeah, but they only ran like a three second shot in the gravyard towards the end of the video.

  • Y'all may not believe this, but my daughter and I googled my old stage name just to see what would come up and OMG! I had no idea there is still love out there. Just reading the posts blew my mind. OK Mackadoeshez, that running away from being pretty comment... ouch! Anyway, I read through the posts, and I want to say much love to LJC195! You know what's up. 191st street, 193rd (my street), and 195th holdin' it down. Love y'all! - Out...

  • @Shazzy193stHollisNY Just wanted to say I remember Gigahoe when I was younger and that it was crazy ill when I first heard it. I always had a knack for beats with sensational strong voices that brought more life to them. You were sexy as hell and beautiful should I say in that Gigahoe and you were far away from running away from pretty. We all have our phases with struggling in looks when we were younger...lol...Anyways, Thanks for everything you brought and imprinted in Hip-Hop!

  • @Shazzy193stHollisNY i can't this is the real shazzy up on here but I'm a was and stilll is a fan I love that first album you and dj vanguard WOO!!!!!!!! that album nothing but the truth then I saw this video I was like yes yes she's back!!! but then the album never drop I hope one day you do come back and bless us with a new one but is there anyway I can get that second album PEACE

  • Of COURSE, there's still love out there, Shaz.

I remember rocking "I Don't Play In Vain"

NON-STOP on an original Specialty test

pressing tape back in 1990 -- In fact, that was

the first single from which I heard of you,

    before stumbling on to "Giggahoe"

Whoever knows real music knows real love.

And I could never forget you.

    > Professor DLC

  • Shazzy brought that fresh cognitive dope heat on this ill ass joint!!

A real strong female emcee not another mainstream corporate sponsored music industry stereotypical remedial assembly line rapper/ho on the mic spreading derogatory images via mass media!

  • Wow!! It's crazy to see this video...I'm one of the producers of this record & also was in the video!! Our production crew then was called the Funkey Elements of Soul, which consisted of me DSMOOTH, Ted Rose, and Mr. Johnson aka Dig Dug at the time. Mr.Johnson is the dude drivin' the car in this video.Damn Shazzy, how long ago was this,1993?..and I have to correct you on something,we shot most of the video in L.E.S. remember? It felt good to be part of something from the golden age of hip hop.

  • Where is Shazzy now I got that Attitude: A Hip Hop Rapsody on wax and it sounds nothing like this shit. This is what I call "The lable made me do it".

  • Oh yeah her first album was dope and she shoulda kept that vibe going.

  • I know she is capable of better..

  • i like the album attitude a hip hop rap sody hard beats and dope rhymes rap music will never die word up

  • anybody got her full unreleased album?..cant find it nowhere...

  • i can't believe this is on here, i used to record this song from my tv to my recording tape, yeah i know it's ghetto i just couldnt find the single at the time

  • I used to record from the tv to cassette tape too...I guess I wasn't the only one...lol

  • hail naw yall wasn't!!!lol

i used to record voltron & robotech and otha cartoons and listen to em at nite w da lights off!!waay before gettin blunted!!

which woulda made it more fun to lissen to agreed?!

  • I am so glad i found this vid, one on my favorite vids back in the day. Thanks for the upload. Shazzy what up!

  • This was the end of a once promising career - her first CD was on point!

  • I feel you she don't even sound like the same woman....I remember when this came out and I had read the reviews but never actually heard the track until this was posted.

  • funny i got this on 12"..never cared for it..felt like shwe was rollin with the Gansta B*tch era of the early 90's too bad..Jiggahoe was on point..like Laquan..she sold her "soul" to try and get paid.

  • Wow...WTF happened after her debut...she was on point lyrically even her whole steez was classy...she looked like a mob chick in that "Giggahoe" video...this was obviously an attempt to cash in on the gangsta bitch era.
