In the other timeline, they will have forgotten the whole romantic affair completely, due to the effects of the wormhole and life in futurama will continue as normal. The first episode will switch between the two timelines, showing what happens in each, it will most likely be funny and sad...

Regarding the next series of futurama, Matt Groening says he was "inspired by the revival of star trek", in the sense of the whole split timeline thing, which sounds like it will be applied to the new futurama.
