Amongst males, anal penetration doesn't occur and females obviously don't use objects. Animals can be likened to little children. Most of us have seen even 2, 3 or 4 yr.olds that have discovered that touching a part of their body is stimulating. When mom removes their clothes for diapers or bathing they fondle themselves. Animals are the same way, they don't understand sexuality

The rest of the time, the males may still experience a sex drive. Out of season mating with females isn't possible.
