I'm thinking of buying an epiphone firebird and put 2 seymour duncan alnico II pro's on it... Should i be able to get something of a les paul sound or something?
i play rock/pop, and i dont know if i should buy a fender telecaster or a gibson les paul....im afraid that the lespaul is way too heavy for the kind of music i play, and the telecaster may not be heavy enough hahaha... i would appreciate any advices.......
take a tele... I have a fender strat, a fender tele and i'm in serious need of a guitar with a heavy sound (les paul or firebird). But a tele has an heavier sound than a strat and lighter sound than a LP.
ofcourse you have to found out yourself what sound is best for your style by playing on alot of different guitars.
My Telecaster (A SQUIER Telecaster of a particular type) Sounds nothing like the demo in this video. Mine sounds like a Mosrite like Ricky Wilson, The B-52's original guitarist played. It has such a rich sound.
charvels are generally the same shape and all, but charvels are for metal and strat are for rock and blues. and mostly for other things that charvels cant fully accomplish
i would have to say that especially for non-guitar players, les pauls are the most well-known. but, yeh, i would actually prefer a superstrat to a les paul
were the gibson explorer?

The Les Paul is a great guitar, but "the favorite of most musicians" is a bit of an overstatement.
russianracehorse 4 years ago
really?
i see alotta ppl use them
wat do u use?
desolateguitar23 4 years ago
Stratocaster, just like Clapton, Hendrix, Knopfler, David Gilmour, Dick Dale, Stevie Ray... (Well, not "just like" them - LOL)
The point is that there's just no such thing as "the favorite of most musicians." I do like your video though. Nice tune choices.
