@shmemilie I thought it was great - by the way, do you know that you usually have to slow the audio to 99.9% as the the video on a Mark II records at 30fps... and changing the audio syncs it perfectly - you may have done that anyway :)

@MrRicojon I dont think so - i have a 7D and dont have any issues :) I think its because the 7D can record at 3 different frame rates, where as the 5D only records at 30fps, which is a bit useless really.

@NeilCairns13 yeah the frame rate is fixed at 29p i think on a 5D until you do the firmware update and its then at 30p,so maybe because the frame rate is 29p thats why if the audio is recorded at 30p there is that slight problem with syncing sound?maybe.

It's a shame the 5Dmk2 doesn't have all the different speeds and format options as the 7D but using motion in final cut pro you can get perfectly smooth slow motion with the 30 FPS footage and in low light the 5D is amazing.I'm new to all this

@shmemilie Ah, thats a DSLR right?? No inputs for mics? If it does get a boom, it will improve the quality 100 fold! At work (we film unsigned bands performances and broadcast/synchronize them) we use Sony Z1E's with booms for out and about filming and they are top notch. Camera work is lovely though, top notch.
