The only thing McCain has to worry about Bob Barr is that Barr will dupe enough rational people to vote for him thus assuring a large enough margin for Obama to win the Presidential race.
Woodrow Wilson said "The government, which was designed for the people, has got into the hands of the bosses and their employers, the special interests. An invisible empire has been set up above the forms of democracy." and Joseph Stalin said "It is enough that the people know there was an election. The people who cast the votes decide nothing. The people who count the votes decide everything."
I also think obama was "chosen". why were the two top guys earlier this year on the repub side, giulliani and romney, and suddenly mccain got the GOP elect? It was practically overnight, suddenly romney and giulliani are gone. What happened? it's a big fraud the powers that be know mccain doesn't stand a chance against obama but romney might have or rudy might have.
the only one that truly had a chance against obama was ron paul, Ron Paul in a true, unedited debate against Obama, would win. Of course you have to take in to consideration that obama has the money printers behind who can pay a team of psychological scientific speech writers to manipulate people's minds, but I don't know, I think the truth would prevail against evil
they all are...you are the only who isn't...try to find the elemental truth in my statement before ranting and waving your finger...its just what they want you to do.
Barr gets my vote too. I'm all for Ron Paul. But my Libertarian vote is important to me and Ron Paul would have gotten my support if he was in McCains shoes. But that not going to happen. So Barr/Root gets my support. I'm looking at the big picture too. I'm looking for Root to get really strong support over the next 8 to 12 years. Root is looking at the big picture too. And his age will support that effort. Root in 2016 and back to the founding fathers as it was intended.
The media is giving Barr airwaves as a distraction, without him knowing, If you are for Ron Paul then Write him in, otherwise this will weaken Ron Paul's supports because some Ron Paul supporters will vote for Barr and some will right Ron Paul in, that is a big mistake. The best way to do it is for everyone who has been for Ron Paul to stick with Ron Paul write him in for full supports!!
Many States (South Carolina for one) do not allow write-in votes in a Presidential election. Remember, you're not voting for a person, you're voting for a delegate for a party.
I'm a Ron Paul faithful, but he can not, and will not win. Even RP has said that. No, my vote is going to Bob Barr and the Libertarian Party.

both the republicrats and demopublicans have been bought and paid for years ago, and if they're our only options, we're finished as a constitutional republic.
McCain has the worste poker face in DC. his lies are super transparent because he always has to start in with the facial ticks and creepy smirking. then theres the stammering and awkward silences you see after he gets asked a question that hes not comfortable with. sometimes the pitch of his voice will actually raise like a nervous 14 yr old boy trying to talk to girls. i just dont understand how you can be a politician for so long and be so awful at lying. Bill Clinton made lying an art form.
Notice his attempt to equate us with vegetarians...not that there is anything wrong with that. Also notice that he did not attempt to say that he believed in libertarian principles. At least he is honest about being a Nanny Stater.
Its the illusion of a race. They're giving Bob Barr play now because they don't see him as a threat. But be prepared for him to disappear from the airwaves once we get close to the election.
Lol... McCain is always stumbling and blinking... he can't barely string two sentences together. Just like bush. It's almost like they pick the worst candidate to make president (election will be rigged) just so they can laugh about it.
McCain is taking votes from chuck Baldwin and barr. Even with out barr and Baldwin, McCain will lose, mcCain would lose if he was the only one in the race
I still don't like the old Barr and don't trust the new one. I understand many of the arguments for not voting at all...nevertheless I'll vote for Barr in the hopes that it raises the visibility of the libertarian angle on issues.
I agree. Barr will get my vote for the above reason, but I'll never be as passionate of a supporter that I am towards Ron Paul. I always vote Libertarian, but Ron Paul was the first canidate that ever felt right.
Write in Ron Paul IF for no other reason than the McCain protecting media. Vote anyone but Rep or Dem. Ron Paul is Libertain I think. Mr. Bomb, Bomb, Bomb needs to retire and go home with his beautiful wife
Hah! They think that Libertarians would vote for McCain!

Nice how he trivializes Libertarians by listing vegetarians immediately after in the groups he welcomes. Not a way to get votes.

What's so trivial about us vegetarians? I guess you're not running for office, so you don't have to worry about isolating us.

I've read them, too, and I don't follow you. Are you saying that a vote for a third party (Libertarian) is pointless and will just get Obama elected?
If that's your position, why bother with elections at all? We should just take a popularity poll and then call it a day.
Wallace1776 3 years ago 3
exactly.
