  • There's no sound. I can't hear what he's saying.

  • i'm so glad you have a transcript :O that white background takes away from some of what I can see cause of i guess its lighting or something O_o part of your hands turn white

  • amazing. thanks for this! wish we had something like this in monterey! loved seeing you sign and great use of color. i am hearing but have been exposed to asl since i was in Kindergarten and am trying to get fluent now (my english grammar keeps getting in the way!).

  • I CANT HEAR U

  • Just to clarify about SEE (Signed English) and ASL, ASL is a language independent of other languages with it's own grammar and syntax. SEE is a sign system dependent on English. It follows English syntax, and because English is a language based on sounds this can cause some problems with conveying conceptual accuracy. It's not a matter of SEE being important or not important, in my opinion it's fine to use whatever suits you best.

  • @revrendmaynard see is also used to teach english to Deaf. That is its main importance.

  • Interesting...... What about in Los Angeles to have that kind of events?

  • suggest visit at caldeaf. com

  • even thinking about having an event in fort lauderdale or Naples FL?

  • I took sign language in high school but I have a really hard time understanding it when people sign really fast. Are you deaf? I'm hearing.

  • I support! I have been using SEE for 9 years (I learned it in 1st grade by watching the translator, and now am in grade 9). Why do so many people say SEE is not an important language? In my opinion, it is very important. Even though I am not deaf, I use it all the time, no matter who I am speaking to. Why is this? Please and thanks!

  • Its importaint... but deaf & hh people pefer asl & it makes more sense to them, im hh but understand SEE fine although many deaf get confused. that why they say its not importaint - you should just learn to sign asl its just learning how to mix your words up a little!! you wll be more appreciated!

  • i am hoh deaf since this year because i have tinnitus and presbycusis so, my hearing in both ears are completely gone! i recently started getting into ASL and i love it! it is just another way to learn another language..it is just how i learn english in the first place...but making an effort and putting a positive attitude towards it. I support ASL

I'm hearing, learning ASL. I'm in Flint, MI. What can I do to support this great event?

    Peace.

    Dan

  • Hello Dan,

I would suggest you ask to Deaf Community in your area to see if they need your help? Or fly to DC and join marching. you can check out NAD (dot) org

  • Are there need 2 hands(arms) for This sign language? I am interesting but I have only one arm.

  • Not necessary to depend on two hands to do sign language.
