@MasterMaxD Rapiers have heavier hand gaurds, and thinner/more flexible blades (But still heavier overall) Small swords are also unsharpened, while more High-end rapiers are known to be very sharp. Small swords are also much more durable than rapiers.

Maybe but thrust do more damage and are more likely to kill. unless you cut off an arm or head or leg, but in a fight your not going to be able to swing like a bat out of hell, if you do your going to be much slower than your opponent.
I bought one of these just this week, and it is certainly a very nice looking sword, with a good build quality. It would be ideal if Cold Steel offered a smaller sword though , with female customers in mind, as the current hilt is made for quite a large hand size
@FOETRAIN I own one of these myself, and I am not convinced at all. The Quality of the Assembly is not too bad for its Price. The Hilt is horribly oversized, even for my rather large Hands. The Hilt and Blade are far to heavy, considering that the triangular Blade was the designed to be very stiff with a minimum of weight. This Sword is definately NOT a true Copy of an Original. I started collecting Originals shortly after, and compared with this the are WAY lighter, smaller and faster. Regards
