  • @walter4092 Nope. He redid it in 1969 as "Let's Work Together" that was basically the same song. That version went to #32 on the charts. I'm 55 and remember it getting alot of play on the radio in New Jersey, Phila, NYC. Check that version out.

  • RIP Wilbert, he was the best....

  • It is hard to believe that a song this cool and with this much groove and power wasn't a huge hit. I guess back then this was too heavy and man were these guys way ahead of their time. And I would have loved too have seen them perform this live too bad I was only 2 years old back then. But then I would be considerably older then I am now and thats nothing to look forward to.

  • Never Knew this existed, thought Roxys was the original and they stole it from canned heat!!

  • @TheMaccafan the lyrics were differint ,

  • SMOKES Canned Heat!

  • another classic that seems to have gotten lost in time. great tune.

  • This so nice !

  • Originals have a way of being the best..... The world needed to catch up with the lyrics.

  • wow! I first tought that this is Brian Ferry's song, than after few years I heard the Canned Heat version and thought that it was original. And only, now after so many years I heard the origiginal... AND I LOVE IT!

  • He also recorded a later variation of this, retitled (and rewritten) and titled "Let's Work Together," which did pretty well; Canned Heat recorded & released their version after Harrison's in 1969.

  • Wilbert is killer, just wonderful.

  • He looks like Craig kimborough

  • Ahaa, is this song even older than Canned Heat's Let's work together. I always thought Roxy Music copied the Canned Heat song, but it's apparantly even older. From what year is this version ?

    Ben Vanhees Belgium

  • @Zuperhamster

    1962

  • It was renamed ' let's work together ' in 1969, it was a big hit, i remember listening to it on the radio all the time ,and the 68-69 version is better.

  • @Zuperhamster uitgebracht in 62 maar volgens wat ik lees was de song al 10 jaar eerder geschreven

  • He had some great hits and no one gave him the honor for doing this song and all the other he made I think they rob him.His brothers his cousin no one speak about the great thing he done

  • Love it - it takes u back .I was dancing all around the room. thanks
